This scene sums up one of the biggest lies about this movie. Michael Oher was one of the best offensive lineman in the state, BEFORE he ever met the Tuohy's. He got into the school because he was a great athlete. He also was a star basketball player. This was all BEFORE he met the Tuohy's. This movie is basically saying the Tuohy's turned Oher from a flat slob who couldn't block into a 5 star prospect in ONE season. If Oher didn't play sports, the Tuohy's would've never met Oher in the first place.
The Tuohys saw the opportunity to make money off the kid and swooped in and took advantage They made sure they locked in the potential money bag by tricking him into signing the illegal conservatorship which they are just NOW trying to end, after Michael played in the NFL and after him having a life and married no less. This movie aged like milk with the whole contrived white savior nonsense.
I read Oher's book and he said he put up with it because he hoped it would help foster kids. With all the law changes there will be hundreds of thousands of more foster children. Our foster system is terrible.

At the end of the episode from 2018, the owners of the car sat down with Dan to go over what needed to have been to be done to it. The husband was quite laid back about it. His wife was a fifty-something blonde, with a strong personality and seemed used to getting what she wanted, she obviously wore the trousers in that relationship. There was something about the way she presented herself and spoke which seemed familar. At the conclusion of the episode, it was mentioned, "just in passing," that they were Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy. I thought Sanda Bullock got her personality and mannerisms, just right. No wonder she won an Oscar.
My favorite part, was when she told that guy from Hurt village U threaten my son, U threaten me; you better not cross downtown. Sandra B. did a great job.
