husband walks into the shot - eyeroll, puppy walks in - ”hey buddy 😍” lol same same 😂 I agree about the stadium finish, it makes you feel like you are at the Olympics (sort of lol)
Thanks for the recap. I'm running Eugene 2024 in 4 days! What a cool town. So much running history. I'm looking forward to crossing the finish line on the track at Hayward Field!
I am running it this year. Thanks for the information, it is much appreciated. And congrats on your BQ. If you are looking for a race with amazing crowd support, wait till you run Boston. Other than NYC, it is the best race for support ever.
Amazing video, exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thank you so much! My year looks identical to your 2023, Eugene followed by Chicago in the fall. So excited, good luck in Boston!
Are spectators able to bike anywhere along the course? Or even the whole thing? Trying to figure out if i can have my parents ride along and switch out bottles and stuff. Would love to be able to know more about the biking and how he picked his spots!
I guess you answered that but my question is more can they ride along the course at any time? I’m thinking more in Eugene between 7 and 10ish back to stadium and maybe over by like 12-18ish
@@nickdraper707 there will definitely be spots they can ride along with you but only for a short distance! Alec stuck with me for maybe 2 minutes right after mile 7 but in the later miles the path is quite narrow so def wouldn’t be room for a biker!
@@nickdraper707 around 13 I think would be okay too because the road is wider and the people disperse a bit since you’re just with the marathoner and half marathoners have already split!

All the emotions at that finish 🥹🥹🥹 can’t believe it was a year ago!
Running it next year and am so excited after watching your video! 🤩
I am so pumped after watching this. Thank you!!
AHHHH! I am so pumped FOR YOU! You’re going to have the best time 🥳

Very timely -- thanks for this helpful rundown!
So glad it was helpful! You running at the end of the month? If yes, good luck!!
@@nicolemruns Yep, sure was! It'll be my first time running Eugene, so I was relieved to hear you say the hills aren't as bad as they look.
Super helpful, thank you! Do you remember if they had 5km signs on the course? 🔥
Great video! How long did the IT band syndrome last and how did you get rid of it?

How about mile 5? It seems there is a hill there!
You’re right based on the elevation chart but I literally cannot remember there being a hill at mile 5 😅🤣 so it definitely wasn’t anything crazy!
Yes, there is definitely a hill at 5…no one ever talks about it for some reason!
