If you mean the case for reform for direct democracy, then this is in the argument for direct dem/arguments against rep dem in the video. The reform would be greater use of direct democracy in the UK, in particular through greater use of referendums
To be honest it's unlikely there would be one. It could possibly come up a bit in a source question. The potential reforms to suffrage are definitely important, however.
could you use newly introduced Voter ID laws which limit voters particularly from lower classes and background from voting as easily as evidence for a participation crisis
Yes this would be brilliant to bring in; you could potentially suggest that a participation crisis among the young benefits the Tories because they do so badly among this demographic and they therefore even try to construct it
That fact that you briefly went over the exam questions at the end made my day
I'm glad! I'll make sure to do this in every video :)
Thank you so much, I used the analysis of Protective and Development Democracy in my exam yesterday and it was very helpful
that sounds brilliant well done!!!
If I could I would like this video a million times - thank you for saving my grade
Thank you so much for the kinds words!
Thank you very much! Please keep doing these videos, they are extremely useful
since last years question was on democratic deficit is it unlikely to come up again
Yes definitely unlikely!
you are a literal lifesaver!!!! Thank you
Do you know anything about consideration of the case reform as that is in the spec but have no clue about it

@@politicsexplainedtutoring oh I see thank you!
You are truly brill, thank you so much!!
Just wondering in what type of question in edexcel would we actually need a full, in-depth knowledge of sufferage in the UK
To be honest it's unlikely there would be one. It could possibly come up a bit in a source question. The potential reforms to suffrage are definitely important, however.
Thank you!!
You're welcome!!!
Do you have to make notes on everything ? Or this is so overwhelming

Could we be asked the same questions in the aqa politics paper, just in a different format?
Yes definitely
@@politicsexplainedtutoring Thank you!
what's an example of reforms to democracy in the UK, as a third point for the question - that reforms to democracy in the UK have not gone far enough?
is it aqa or edexcel?
Edexcel but also very useful for aqa
you are a life saver man
what exam board is this?
Edexcel
Is this Edexcel or aqa?
Edexcel but also very useful for aqa
thank you!
What about questions on wider franchise and debate over suffrage ?
Correction: Scotland is a nation, not a region. The UK is a multi-nation state, so describing events across it as national is technically inaccurate.
