    Great walk thru of how to make drums, and clever of them to offer presequenced wavetables of the base material. I remember the sid station offered something similar but only one kind of arp pattern for it...

      Thanks! Yes, these are selected to cover a sweet-spot of wavetables, while not having too many making it cluttered.

    Sounds great! And the drum creation walkthrough was really helpful as I always struggle to make good drums on my own sid projects.Tack för det!

    Thought about you when I heard SY Chip was being added!
    Big thanks for the explainer. Another great example of how the machines are flexible for many roles.

      Thank you! Yeah, it is designed to do as many useful tasks as possible while still just having very few controls.

    Elektron returning to their roots. Their first device was actually a SID player with an actual 6581 SID chip inside.

      @tubesockor  3 дні тому +1

      Yep I know ;) Even though "SID player" isn't really making it justice - Sidstation is a synth!

    That was awesome. Thank you for the tutorial. Would love to watch another one, maybe with focus on lead sounds? 😬 edit: I just noticed you are also the one who recreated "The last v8" on the syntakt. That was incredible as well. Brings back so many memories, never made it out of level 2 in this game 😄

      Thank you! Never know what will be the next one, but noted! Happy you liked the Last V8 vid too! And same for me, level 1 was hard enough :) There are other similar videos on the channel, so take a look around and let me know what you think. Commando might bring some memories too :)

    I would have loved a digital machine of that, i’m sure it sounds different but still would be cool
    I was a bit bummed that all new machines are Analog, i’m sure like me you use track 9-12 the most.
    I expected HH Lab to be digital when they announced it, would love a better digital Hihat machine

    • @totomhavehat
      @totomhavehat 9 днів тому

      But after understanding Sy chip A bit better i’m pretty sure a digital one would mean they give us an Arp and they don’t seem to want to do that 😅

    this is very interesting , but not being an expert in chiptune sound i won't remenber everything , do you plan to make a soundpack ? this was the case when Sy raw & Sy swarm where released if i recall well.

      Thanks! I’ve had that idea and it might happen, but it is hard to plan for - we’ll see!
