We all just feel that parental pride when Hyakkimaru speaks because we were with him ever since he regained his body parts. He's like our son and we're like watching him grow up. :')

The dad didn’t sacrificed Hyakkimaru to protect his people. He clearly said he wanted to be the greatest lord of all. He wanted power. It was a selfish action.
Well he didn't offer up his son specifically. He definitely rolled with it when the demons took him, though.
who care if it was selfish? the result was there, people of this land became happy, got food, created culture, avoid pandémia. and it was his own son ( a boy with that) that he sacrificed, of course he still feel it, but one life for thousand is still worth.
@@andrebraga3839 giving someone's else life for this is evil, no matter if it's your own kid. he should have given his life or someone who agreed to it. yeah, the results were there, but this doesn't excuse what he did and Hyakkimaru has every right to get his body back.

Perhaps he did it in selfish way to begin but at the end of the Day he saved many People and gived them prosperity. And we can speculate about what recover his body is gonna impact even kid born between those period, in war, prostitution of parent, starving (things we literaly saw in the show)

The red tints in Hyakumaru and Daigo souls are more a consequence of having killed humans, rather than having demon blood
But why would killing "bad/evil" humans give his sould red tint?
The act of killing a human is a sin in of itself, regardless if the person killed was decent or not.

@Kurukuu the red stuff is demon related, hyakkimaru was cursed, and daigo recieved that X shaped scar on his head is a signifier to a connection with demons... if you look at non-cursed humans their souls are grey, if they have killed people their souls have darker tints of grey swirling around in there... the darker it gets the more they have killed...

The dad did sacrifice his son to the demons but also the demons went lose and only his town is in good shape while the rest of the places are filled with those demons who devour humans as a sacrifice to maintain that town.
And if u look closer, hyakkimaru now has more facial expression, like when fighting, and when dororo asked his confirmation to fight banmon demon
That kid they met at Banmon (Sukeroku), that's Naruto you know?
And the monster in this episode is a demon fox.

YES, I’ve been waiting for this ever since I saw the video. Hyakkimaru is talking so much and I squeal every time. When he starts speaking full sentences I’m going to lose it. I was literally screaming at Tahomaru, “HE IS THE BABY!” I think the lady was like the mid-wife’s assistant or maybe just a servant who was helping.
the red in the dad and hyakkimaru's soul i think indicate that they are curse. hyakkimaru coz he's the sacrife to the demon and the dad coz he's the one making the deal. in ep 1 the blind man did say he sense a curse when he first saw baby hyakkimaru on the boat
The soul's "texture" is also different. Tahoumaru's too

When he’s first making the deal he mentions how the land and people are suffering, but right after he says “if this goes on I won’t obtain the power I crave”. The power is the real thing he’s after here.
He doesn’t actually care for the people, they’re just a means to an end.
Daigo’s pretty much evil through and through, which is a pretty cool contrast when all the other antagonists in this series are at least mildly sympathetic.
