I can confirm the Chinese in Mexico. My family is from the state of Guanajuato and my family who work at the factories have casually mentioned the owners are Chinese. And I’ve seen them walking around a couple of times.
In 2024 San Diego I have seen Asians driving cars with Baja California license plates. And for years there has been a Chinese restaurant with Spanish speaking Chinese staff.

Just wanted to say you're getting much better as a host/interviewer/podcaster. Ive been watching these Ironclad videos here and there. I found a lot of them interesting and could sit through a bunch of them. A few older ones I saw with you as the host I couldnt really watch after 5-10 minutes. Maybe the awkwardness or tension or pacing or god knows what, but this interview and the recent one with thet sheriff that came out of retirement in Arizona or New Mexico were hella good. Keep it up man, looking forward to seeing more of your content in the future.

I was a military member and did a lot of counter drug ops work as an interpreter. It didnt seem like we were really trying to find the drug shipments and mostly harraseed fishing yolas. I mean, lets be real, the drug racket is a trillion dollar business, why would anyone involved want that money to go away?. Its money not just for the crooks but for people in power on both sides. You know what pisses me off as a mexican?, that we know full well that cartels as big and bad as they are painted to be, these sicarios get butchered by actual armed forces all the time, meaning that if both goverments came to an agreement to excise druglords from Mexico, they could potentially get it done in a couple of days tops. When both goverments talk a lot but ultimately do nothing but to capture a single druglord here and there for the headlines, that paints a really clear picture that both are in to protect their cashcow while they pretend like they give a fck about the addiction crisis in the US and people in mexico living afraid of these criminals.
