Just got back from this place. The hotel is ran down and its clear that the billionaire owner doesnt care. The golf is all about the views and not about the quality of the course. I would NOT come here if you want a top resort....rooms are old, ran down, dirty, etc.....just the walkways that you turn your ankle almost every step show you that they dont care...... Golf wise.....views are great and Matt is elite but tee boxes suck, greens are "ok" and the fairways are overwatered and crappy. Views are great though AND there arent many people there at any time. Not worth the money, oh, and the owner purchased the confederate statues from Dallas for almost 2M and planted it right by the clubhouse and range.....just saying....plenty of people in Texas love that but I don't and I won't be back.
