  • CORRECTION: at 2:27 I say "G Major 7" when I should have said "G Dominant 7"
    sorry to confuse!
In this video, we'll learn the ii-v-i ("2 - 5 - 1) chord progression. Then we will add 7th and 9th chords to sauce it up! Grab your keyboard and play along!

I've played the guitar for 30 years and 5 years ago I decided I was going to teach myself some piano and it's just been a revelation.
The inversions is what it's about for me ...you can invert chords on the guitar but it doesn't sound the inversions on the piano .It's almost like I was in black and white with my guitar but the piano changed it to colour .I've got 3 or 4 guitars stood around and I think there getting jealous ...but I love the guitar and one of the MAJOR differences is string bending ...when you hit that right note and you know it's gonna just ring out when you bend it ....
I've just watched your channel for the first time and I enjoyed it ...because you couldn't hide your passion ...the music owns you and it will do for life.
When I jam with other musicians it's great because it's not about words ...music functions like a language when you get good at it .
The greatest power that music has is that it doesn't give a fuck about colour, creed , and cannot be constrained by borders ...it's such a massive part of our evolution as a species ...keep it young man ( I'm English can't you tell

I commend you for taking the time to share your knowledge of the keys however, the G which is the V is not a G major 7. It is a G dom. 7. The G major 7 would have an F#. Hopefully, this will keep someone from getting confused. You do have G7 in the caption.
