Can anyone tell me if the HF vac pump is sufficient and or good for 10 quart pot for stabilizing, I under stand it has a vacuum pull of 22 microns ????
Depends, in most cases after the full vacuum process has finished I leve the wood in the pot to soak for a whole night with no pressure. But on some occasions I turn the pump off and then leave the pot overnight with pressure. Some pressure will escape over night. It depends on what I'm stabilising and how much of it in one go.
Say I stabilized a really irregular pice of wood with double dye . Can I fill in the rest of the wood gaps with an additional epoxy in the pressure chamber. Also can I use just a pressure pot to stabilize? Or nah
You need a vacuum chamber to stabilizale wood not pressure pot. Pressure pot is for casting when you add epoxy( resin) to a pice of wood that is fully stabilized. Hope that makes sense
Any issues with the Acrylic lid now that you've used it some? I've seen a lot of conflicting info on if you should use one at all with an acrylic lid. If you make sure that the liquid resin or bubbles never touch the lid has it been ok?
So far had no issues but I always am very careful as you said that the bubbles never reach the lid. If I had the money I would go for the glass one. But as I said had no issues.

Great video, would love to have the kit but it’s an expensive set up. Very expensive. Stabilising isn’t something I have the time for. It’s such a long long process and dangerous when you have to leave that oven on. I’m working 50-60 hours a week

could you do this at a lower temp for longer?
It'll quench ya! Nothing's quenchier! It's the quenchiest!
Hey! great video (Y) thnks for taking your time with the explanation, very easy to understand the process
Thank you for watching
Sir did you vaccum pump on continue 5 hours, or you off vaccum pump off when air bubbles stopped, and left container 12 hour. Please guide
How does it do with wood that might have oil in the wood like a gun stock?
I think it will struggle. Needs to be moisture and finish free wood. You may have some effect but difficult to say what exactly.
Do you make full time, I haven’t seen much of your stabilised wood /resin work?
Great video.. well explained..👍👍
Thank you kindly my friend👍😁
Great video.
Well done pal.👍
Thank you very much, hope it was helpful 👍
Where did you get these beautiful pieces of wood from?
Great tutorial btw. Always like your videos.
Got them off a friend. Don't have solid supply unfortunately 🤔
Thank you for watching 😁👍
Bardzo pomocne wskazówki:) mam pytanie czy w domowym piekarniku można to wykrzesać? Nie będzie to szkodliwe ?
Jest raczej szkodliwe i nie polecam.
Super film! Dzieki!
Dzięki 😀👍
Does the vacuum pump have to run the whole time?
Until the bubbles stop coming to the top
Leave it in for longer. Mine is on full vacuum for at least 2 days and then soaking for a week
I'll try 48 hours under vacuum and see if this helps. I always have bubbles after 24 hours...always. I've dried to 0% also.

Tell me also when stopped bubbling , you realise air of vaccum container air, or with vaccum air for whole night

Can you stabilize other stuff other than wood? Like dry flowers or cotton or paper?
Not sure never tried it. I know ypu can stabilise bread - seen it on Peter Brown's video 😁

jeżeli chodzi o czas stabilizację drewna to jak najdłużej stabilizowałeś drewno ?
O który etap dokladnie pytasz? Czy cały proces?
@@CasualDIY proces stabilizacji w pojemniku aż przestanie uchodzić powietrze z drewna.

What model is the vacuum pump?
