I really had no idea when I staters this that players were so eager for watching someone lose every episode 😅. I just want to make content that focuses on helping people get better.
Good stuff my man. I'm perpetually stuck at 70-100 and have hit infinite twice since launch. I simple don't snap enough but I love the tips here. Looking forward to more content.
Ohhhh stand by then. Eventually I’ll be covering snapping aggression! Almost all of my games have a snap either from me or my opponent. I like to snap a lot!
I've been looking for your UA-cam searching for gunnyT never worked or I dunno but glad I found it via snap judgements podcast. Excellent job as always. Love big dumb idiots.
I think it’s because I’m not big enough. I also believe you have to search SnapTacticsGunnyT. I’m glad you found me though. I love our Snap Judgments community. You all are so supportive! Thank you so much for checking my videos out. More will be coming as soon as I get this league rolling. It’s been a major time sink.
GunnyT, thank you for being so transparent and vulnerable! It's so helpful to know that competitors at your level deal with the same anxiety that the rest of us do.
I am really happy this gave you some encouragement. I’ve had some serious low points in this game. Hopefully if we talk about them we can either learn from it or at the very least realize we are not alone on this rock. Also thank you for your inspiring private message!
I’ve only been playing for just over 5 months so that grind is still fresh in my mind. It’s tough not owning cards. The positive part is once you become collection complete or close to it a lot of stress is lifted from you. The game truly becomes enjoyable once you are not chasing credits.
Just wanted to thank you for this guide and the last, love the deck and got to infinite for the first time ever and I’ve been playing since nimrod came out.
Wow that’s amazing!! I really like this deck in particular for learning these tips. The deck is simple enough to allow me to focus on my game play fundamentals without having to concentrate on a bunch of micro decisions. Also… I almost called myself Snap Daddy as opposed to GunnyT. Thought you’d get a kick out of that.
Yes it’s straightforward yet powerful. No way!about the name that’s awesome, yes I did get a kick out of it. What does the T in your name stand for? If it’s Terrence, I’ll quit snap lol
I cannot figure out how to delete this message. I am sorry I was responding to someone else. You are absolutely right you must to have a way to win! Stopping your opponent has no purpose if you are also stopping yourself.
Frankly I might have made the same play you did in your first example and misread the Deadpool deck which turned out to be a move deck. Your assessment is spot on, resonating what the Art of War says: know yourself and know your enemies leads to victories
I made my 3rd infinite in a row last season but I still get this when I hit the 90’s each season. I’ve found that finding a deck you are insanely comfortable with is potentially better than what’s currently number 1. Obviously it should be good to a certain extent. I always used Shuri Sauron, but the recent metas made me drop it for a Black Knight Ms. Marvel deck. I never even thought about trying these cards but it’s now my favourite deck and I can’t stop winning with it. I urge everyone to experiment constantly until they find the deck that just clicks with them.
@@GunnyT_YT It was Dmoney’s tunes btw; though sometimes when I’m out and about a music event I sit down with a beer and feel almost more at ease than when I’m playing at home.
I have bad ladders anxiety because my first season I made infinite and it was traumatizing. Getting snapped on when you don’t even know what all the cards do. It stuck with me and I still feel it when a cue up even a year later. So I mostly just play conquest now
If that is bringing you joy then don’t change it. If you are interested I would encourage you to climb again my friend. Rank 90 is the real goal. 500 gold in the pot at the end of that rainbow.
Hey man you are my new favorite and I really really appreciate you , do you ever stream? I would love to follow you on twitch. So your first video… I watched it and literally hit infinite the same day when I was struggling so hard. THANK YOU
Damn! It is amazing to hear that you hit infinite using some of my tips. Any in particular that stood out to you? I have not started streaming yet but I’m working on the courage to do it. I have a drive to make everything I do perfect sometimes to a fault. Since I know so little about streaming I am just hesitant about taking the plunge.
Trying and understanding all the decks in the meta also gives you a huge advantage. Knowing if your opponent is popping off and knowing when you're popping off' is very important. In other words, whose deck is doing what it is supposed to do better, yours or theirs?
I talk about this in a series of advanced tips I came up with. Right now I’m focusing on players and what they are doing. Players will absolutely benefit from learning what their opponents are doing and especially when they are not doing it so we can capitalize with a snap!
I will be honest, every time my opponent snaps, the sound effect it jump scares me lol. I then think about what they can have and wonder why they snapped and I didn't, especially on turn 6. At that point I just leave
I think we all can. You are always very honest and transparent on your show Joe. I think we can all learn from that and be a bit more humble. I remember getting frustrated watching content creators win over and over aging where my success rate didn’t feel the same.
I bluff on snaps! Thanks for the video, it's funny about the smartwatch! My smartwatch says I don't have any heart spikes. I play like a robot I guess.
That’s because you are a disciplined Japanese man! You are right players do bluff snap but it’s very rare and those tips are really just for learning the basics. Once you are to the point of knowing how to bluff well then you most likely don’t need my tips any more.
@@GunnyT_YT my problem is generally time and knowing when to snap. I follow your guidelines and averaged about 1.6 cubes over 70 games. I could do better if I snapped better, because my win rate was around 65%
I generally don’t mute my opponents. I like the personal interaction I get from people. Think about the game I lost. I still gave a fist bump bc they deserved it.
There is a book called the "Art of Learning" by Josh Waitzkin, a chess player. He is called a "chess prodigy," but in the book, as mentioned earlier, whatever mental endowment he had, he reinforced with the ability not to run from anxiety but embrace it and make it work for him. On page 171, he states: ""...work through hours of mind-numbing complexities." And elsewhere to make the intellectual chaos one's comfort zone. It's a different outlook, the ability to concentrate amid anxiety. Do not wait between matches when you are anxious, but seek it out and be able to perform in it. It's an idea, though, and I can hear cube rates crater to the surface of the Earth from orbit.
What a cool thought experiment. I actually really enjoy Haggling, debating, and to a much lesser degree talking through disagreements. These tend to give people anxiety and I can feel how uncomfortable people are in these situations. I on the other hand do not feel that way and do exactly what Waitzkin is saying here. I thrive in that realm. Now I need to bring that to snap!
One of the only unique snap channels with actual helpful content outside of "deck tech plus stream clips"
I really had no idea when I staters this that players were so eager for watching someone lose every episode 😅. I just want to make content that focuses on helping people get better.
@@GunnyT_YTJust hit my second ever infinite rank with this deck! I threw loki in for gladiator (cause I don't have it :(( )

Thanks!!

N. 6 - I use this in poker: Don't get in love with your hand.
Great advice!
Only two videos and already one of my favorite Marvel Snap channels! Excellent video! Keep going with this please!
Wow that’s a great compliment! Thank you so much.
I enjoy your videos. The deep analysis of a particular gameplay is more helpful than just watching gameplay streams. Thank you!
I believe we learn a lot by watching others so I wanted to expand that and go in depth on how I’m actually playing these games.
Blessings for the people like you that exist 🙏
☺️
been snapping for a year now and this is the best snap video I've watched yet
Wow! That means a lot. Thank you so much. I just want to bring real content. We don’t really learn a lot from highlight reels.
Awesome dude this was really helpful!! Thank you!
Glad to hear it! Thank you for watching.
Keep up the good work GunnyT
Thanks, will do!

Very helpful before my pod 7 match with Drewberry!!!
Thank you GunnyT!!
You are welcome!
Actual real marvel snap content. Thank you for the upload
Boy… I really had no idea how much people wanted to see content that wasn’t just a highlight reel of the best deck.

Great video - the big piece for me is "You don't have to stop everything your opponent is doing. You have to make sure your deck can do the thing"
I have considered bringing up The Art of War. There are so many aspects that can be brought over.
I cannot figure out how to delete this message. I am sorry I was responding to someone else. You are absolutely right you must to have a way to win! Stopping your opponent has no purpose if you are also stopping yourself.

I often think of The Art of War in relation to cars games. I may consider an episode on the topic.

I agree 100%! The “best” deck may not be your BEST deck. Playing a deck well can make up for some win/cube rate deficiencies.
This video speaks to me on the deepest level! THANK YOU! 🙏
Several others have mentioned this. I hope to bring more “real” content.
I started using an RnB inspired playlist that a content creator used that really help me chill out and zone in while playing 🖤
That’s a fantastic idea. I never even considered setting the mood to help with stress and anxiety.
@@GunnyT_YT It was Dmoney’s tunes btw; though sometimes when I’m out and about a music event I sit down with a beer and feel almost more at ease than when I’m playing at home.

Also another thing is when I play destroy and my opponent get prio, I just get the feeling that either armor or Cosmo will drop next lol
That is the correct move! There are definitely games you can win by staying but I would argue that you are more likely to lose at that point.

2nd game with bot ?
I think so yes. Unfortunately I didn’t not figure that out until it was pointed out to me. I was just happy to get some of my cubes back.
One thing you forgot, ALWAYS MUTE opponents at the start of a game.

Your second opponent was a bot, maybe showcase matches that aren’t against them next time 🙂
I now know this thanks to observant players like yourself. I thought bots always retreated if losing…
