    I made my 3rd infinite in a row last season but I still get this when I hit the 90’s each season. I’ve found that finding a deck you are insanely comfortable with is potentially better than what’s currently number 1. Obviously it should be good to a certain extent. I always used Shuri Sauron, but the recent metas made me drop it for a Black Knight Ms. Marvel deck. I never even thought about trying these cards but it’s now my favourite deck and I can’t stop winning with it. I urge everyone to experiment constantly until they find the deck that just clicks with them.

    • @GunnyT_YT
      @GunnyT_YT  10 місяців тому

      I agree 100%! The “best” deck may not be your BEST deck. Playing a deck well can make up for some win/cube rate deficiencies.

    Trying and understanding all the decks in the meta also gives you a huge advantage. Knowing if your opponent is popping off and knowing when you're popping off' is very important.
    In other words, whose deck is doing what it is supposed to do better, yours or theirs?

      I talk about this in a series of advanced tips I came up with. Right now I’m focusing on players and what they are doing. Players will absolutely benefit from learning what their opponents are doing and especially when they are not doing it so we can capitalize with a snap!

    There is a book called the "Art of Learning" by Josh Waitzkin, a chess player. He is called a "chess prodigy," but in the book, as mentioned earlier, whatever mental endowment he had, he reinforced with the ability not to run from anxiety but embrace it and make it work for him. On page 171, he states: ""...work through hours of mind-numbing complexities." And elsewhere to make the intellectual chaos one's comfort zone. It's a different outlook, the ability to concentrate amid anxiety. Do not wait between matches when you are anxious, but seek it out and be able to perform in it. It's an idea, though, and I can hear cube rates crater to the surface of the Earth from orbit.

    • @GunnyT_YT
      @GunnyT_YT  10 місяців тому

      What a cool thought experiment. I actually really enjoy Haggling, debating, and to a much lesser degree talking through disagreements. These tend to give people anxiety and I can feel how uncomfortable people are in these situations. I on the other hand do not feel that way and do exactly what Waitzkin is saying here. I thrive in that realm. Now I need to bring that to snap!
