Great advice and insights here! I'm at 3" of length right now and I'm finally ready to commit to long hair. My dad rocked long hair during his 30's and 40's, my older brother currently has long hair to his shoulders, and now it's my turn to take the leap. Videos like these are really helpful for people just starting the journey 🤘
update us buddy
Just got an undercut yesterday and I'm so happy with it!!
My hair grows pretty crazy curls so my hair grows out and I look like a have a triangle on my head when I wear it down. Already one day of having an undercut it's neater up and its way neater down.
I've been on my hair growth journey for over a year now. Never really liked the undercut look.
Nice to see the Collab. Keep it up. 😀
It’s definitely not for everyone
@@alexorlandocross That's the exact reason why IT IS for some.

Love this video. I have ridiculously coarse thick AND frizzy hair. I started growing it at 14, and had JUST long hair until 34, after a bike accident that nearly ended me I decided to get an under cut, and I do regret the position of it.
Both of you are so calm. It's kinda relaxing watching you talk - podcast style. Amazing as always. Glad I found this channel.
Ha ha thank you. Very relaxing considering this was the first time we’d ever met too
Only UA-cam videos I can find on this thank you sir!!! I love y’all’s long HAIR!
When 2 legends come together to talk some serious hair 🤩 Nice work guys!
Introduced by a legend
I had my undercut 2 weeks ago and I really regret doing it. I might cut short my hair and start over.
Hair band saved me too! I had to wear one for 7 months. Now at 19 months growth
I think I’m the only guy who never used one lol
Great video but OMG!! 🛑 stop sayin "Mmm yeah yeah Mmm Mmm Mmm"
Ha ha if only I could turn back time
Mmhmm
Awesome vid for anyone considering an undercut! Well done guys!! 👊
Thanks for the love Scott
Important Video right now!
I got very long hair ( beyond ass length) and have it long since I was 13 basically, which is 23 years now. After long considering back and forth I have finally decided to try an undercut and tomorrow morning I have my barber's appointment.
The "There is no going back" section honestly made me a bit afraid as this is really part of my identity.
But I guess after almost a quarter of a century (Jesus Christ...) it is time for fresh air (literally).
Thanks for making this!
How is it? I'm at 4 montj I used 2 have it at 1 year and 5 months with a small but and all I was super sad.. idk if u guys know what I'm talking about but there is this new style where they take some of your bangs by your hair line and cut it, so it looks like a boxed shape look and your hair line is still there but your long hair starts and inch higher than your hair line.. it looks cool but idk if I should do that
@@imrelentless9577 To be very honest, 3 barbers / hairdressers told me I have too thin hair to go full undercut (like really basically going bald with only long top hair) plus my hair length is down to my lower back so it looks extra thin then.
So what we did was a "mini undercut" which ends about 5 cm under my hairline. It's 2 mm right now.
Couldn't be happier with it! Looks sharp, my hair looks still badass when it's open and with a knot or tail it looks nice and clean.
I undercut my hair
The first time it was awesome
The second time it was terrible
Looking forward to a new style soon
Definitely has the potential to go seriously wrong. Barber quality is key
I have thick, curly hair. I can tie it up in bun but i have recently started wearing glasses and i find it messes my hair up but pulling hairs out of the bun so i have been toying with the idea of a low type of undercut, i am still not 100% sure yet so will hold it off untill i have made a decision im happy with, you guys gave some me a lot to think about, thank you very much
No one will touch my hair
5 years and will continue to grow
women only see me
In my country to see a man with super long hair is something strange, I am different, unique
thanks for sharing your videos
take care brother here Monterrey Mexico you have a friend
Thanks bro
I used to have a long hair and the part that i hate the most is the awkward phase. So i just keep the sides & back shaved while growing the top😁
That's exactly what I'm doing right now but I'm not sure if my barber is going to high at the back I guess that wouldn't matter? Considering you're growing the top?
I like the video. Mmhmm yea, yeaaa, mmhmm.
I'm 2 years 5 months on my hair. My main issue is my big ass head and the fact my side hair ends up being shorter and it's all frizzy. So I'm definitely looking at a lower undercut style.
Bro chill out with the humming “mmm…mmm…mmm…yeah yeah…mmm”
For me, it‘s a no go !
It’s definitely not for everybody lol
I just started pulling mine up and it's at my shoulders. I was always afraid it was too short and then one day I realized I had longer hair than people I saw and thought"man their hair is long". 😅 maybe I'm just harder on myself but my first knot or hair tie was when my bangs were army shoulders and the back was at my shoulder blades. Over a year with no haircut at all...I still haven't had a haircut and I grew it from a crew cut. It's about time to get it shaped a bit haha
I have pretty long (mid back) hair and the length is not the problem but the sides are alway looking wild. Thinking an under cut would help that.
Bradley martins younger brother!
Is the undercut high maintenance, like, would you have to go to the barber every 2 weeks to look sharp like when you would have short hair and a skin fade?
came here with the same question
Deffo...gets expensive, cut mine myself in-between visits
depends how much u care lol
I wanted to watch this, but the music is too loud and distracting.
Question for Tommy... how do you get your curly hair to look so smooth when you have it up in a bun?? Mine always looks like a frizzy ball of yarn. LOL
My friend; I swear by flaxseed products. Flaxseed gel is the way 👌
@@tommyg_tv Thank you sir!
I'm a femboy, so the awkward phase is so easy when I put some makeup on and get my nails done. I used to have a long hair growing it out again, will definitely not go for an undercut
Yeah!!
Love that
I like your har
Guys, dont grow out your hair with an undercut, first grow your hair out fully then go for it. As a person who grew their hair with shaving the sides, I have to say that if you will want to grow the full hair, you will face the akward stage which will not fit the longer part of the hair.If you are in the same situation I recommend wearing the middle parting hairstyle,it will hide most of the hair.
This is perfect said
Ahh... That's exactly what I've been doing shaving the underneath and growing the top.. so what should I do? Just part my hair until the top is long enough?
Mmm Mm MMmm yeah, mmmm yeah mmm
mmmm yeah yeah, mmm yeah mmm
