thanks for the great insight into the life of the Philippines, l really appreciate and enjoy your videos from time to time which are a great help in understanding the Philippines culture and daily life. thanks a lot and more power to you. Jun from Pakistan
Great video Bud. Wow big price difference, thanks for taking the time to test both out. Yep Dipolog City is in Mindanao, I enjoyed plenty of good food there travelling with my Filipina friends =)
I miss lanzones, haven't had them for 35 years! Some of them have pits and some are seedless, the fruit is so sweet but the pit is bitter if you accidentally bite into them. Great experiment Bud.
Sir Bud, I remember Ned made a video that featured an expat up in Valencia growing longkong lanzones. I think the man is called "Alaskan Jack". Seems like a nice guy, knows a lot about farming and a bunch of stuff. Maybe Ned could introduce you and ma'am Gloria to the couple.
that's my favorite Bud! I'm coming over to your house now weather you like it or not knock! knock! where's them lansones Bud? gimme all the lansones Bud..
Lansones from my town from my sister ‘s farm is sweet but they said lansones from Camiguin is the best. I’ve tasted lansones from Bukidnon from my brother’s farm, wow! It’s sour.
There is a sweeter variety of lanzones aside from Longkong Sir Bud even if its not yet fully riped, in Davao they call it "Duco or Duku" round in nature and is thicker in skin and have big seeds...Native or Local varities like the Dipolog named after the town where it grows is also sweet when they are fully riped...The Best of the Best native Lanzones was that of "Camiguin'...
long kong variety does not necessarily imported from other countries many farmers grows that kind in p.I..maybe originally it came from somewhere else..
hey Bud you guys are great :),,,,, what's your room rate there at the house id like to stay 6 weeks does your computer room have aircon :) perhaps a pkg deal pickup in the molly... :) keep the great vids coming jef:)
Hilarious viewing, you dont need to take your glasses off, just close your eyes, 2nd you dont want to hear the plastic bags? They sound different when they have Long kong in them? Reminds me of some great Morecambe and Wise gags! And interesting! I will stick to the cheaper ones. The little extra taste does not afford the increase in price in my opinion. Is the extra high charge because of import charges? or are they grown in Fil (Long Kong)?
***** ... I suppose if you make a shake drink or something with them, or want to dip them into something sweet to compensate, then the difference between them would be negligible. If you catch my drift!
Love the back round music!

Have you tried lansones from Camiguin?
I've been living here in united states for 2 decades and I have not tasted the Lansones for a long time.
Wah! My favorite fruit... well... one of them. Haha. :D The others are santol and orange.
hmmmmm...I like to try it too! but, I have to go home first to the Philippines.
My mom is from San Pablo laguna and their lansones are the best in the whole Philippines island,
