I too, pay tribute to our military who didn't come home after fighting for the freedom we enjoy today, and pray for the families they left behind. And, I too, get emotional when I hear or speak of the greatest sacrifice of all. Jesus didn't deserve to die, but God loved me, you, everyone so much that He sacrificed His only son so we wouldn't have to pay for our sins. Those white bucklings you had here sure were some pretty goats. Mike, I get sappy when I talk about my Savior And His sacrifice for me too! It also makes me cry when I think about our soldiers sacrifice. Thanks to Brendan for his service and your grandaddy. And I know how it feels to have a son that serves. My son went to marine boot camp and injured his back and had to come home. The only issue I have now is the way they treated my son once they knew they couldn’t make a soldier out of him. They used up the money they had paid him to the point he didn’t have money to come home on. I got in the car and drove from Louisiana to South Carolina(I think) forgot where boot camp is! Lol it’s been a minute! To pick up my son! He was so sick running fever and could barely walk with his injury! He didn’t want to talk about any of it. I think bc he was so ashamed about not being fit enough(he thought) to serve. He was when he left my house that day. I can say this, it made a better man out of him.

My father was retired Navy, one brother was a Marine, one brother was Navy, another brother was Air Force, my sister was Air Force and my son was Army. So I try my best to honor them and all the others every year. Also, we should get sappy when we of Jesus’ sacrifice. Just my opinion
