My guitarist does that at practice sometimes….. he thinks cause he also has a drum kit at home, and learned how to hold a blast beat for like two seconds….. he’s the next Joey Jordison ….. 🤦🏼♂️
I love when casey finds the "bonus sound" at 9:17 even though he laughs he immediately incorporates it into the next few bars. First rule of jazz baby when u make a mistake repeat it !!
This video goes to show you how important muscle memory is! You take away a drummers muscle memory and it’s like hitting the reset button on years of practice. This deepens my belief that young drummers benefit greatly from simply sitting down behind the kit and spending time getting familiar with the various sounds the kit creates.
🤣 Just asked my wife if she knew what a Nipple Gong is... ! 😂- a WHAT? Talking ´bout the Paiste shirt you gave me?? 🤣 That reminds me of a school music festival in the early 80s, I played percussion in a school band with a friend, he played drums. The teacher who coached the band after us told us to leave the old Rogers kit set up for his drummer, who now called us his drum roadies... 🤬 so that they could immediately start their show ... And my buddy and me converted it into a lefty kit ... man we had fun too! 🤣🤣🤣👍
I have an e kit at home, and it has a wind chime sound effect. You could really screw someone up with that. It also has sounds of a man saying 1, 2, 3, and 4. I guess you could use it as a weird metronome, but each sound has to be set to a different drum. You have to sacrifice half of the kit for it.
This was absolutely amazing, this needs to be a new regular series where you bring in different drummers, and see who can play/make the most cursed kit. 😂👍👍 Adam totally killed it on this challenge! Well done Sir. 👏👏👏
I'm glad I'm not alone in experimenting with this feature. I have the Alesis Strike Pro II and found the kit option that makes the bass the snare, the snare the bass, reverses the order of the toms, inverts hi-hat and ride, etc. It was the most confusing, disorienting, anxiety-inducing thing I've ever tried haha.
I was like "Put some sound with release soooo loooong he's gonna regret hitting it every time for like 10 bars or more!" and that was the moment I realized I am a psychopath!... 😱
So, I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't get back to sleep. Then I watched this video, and I'm trying not to laugh too loud and wake everyone up.
Now this is how you do a sponsored video! This was so much fun to watch, and I got such a kick out of the notes in green 😂 I've got a ways to go before I could try something like this without my brain breaking, lol
I'm just a beginner. So far I'm enjoying it for the most part but somedays I want to give up. Then I'll watch videos of awesome drummers and get excited to keep learning. If you guys can pull this off and make simple beats it'll make me feel like no matter how difficult I think this is now, with lots of skill anything is possible. As I type this before watching the video I don't think this will be possible lol
I have to try this, it will probably take me all day to get the snare, bass drum and hi-hat comfortably flowing together.🤣We'll worry about fills tomorrow.😆
I want to see if you guys can do this: ⤵️ *Solo:* First play 16th Notes at 100BPM. Then play: Right Left Right. Right Left Right Right RightLeft. *Repeat* *Group of Three:* First practice on 100BPM then, once all three drummers are well coordinated with each other, switch to 132BPM. *Left and Right Mirror each other.* Right Left Both. *Hit middle drum for both with both sticks* Right Left, Right Left. *Right Left drummer hits middle drum with their drumsticks individually on “Right Left”* *Repeat* Middle: Right Left Arms Up. Right Left, Right Left. *Repeat for 28 seconds* Finale: Left and Right hits both their drums and the middle drum three times. And the middle drummer hit his drum three times. On the last hit, all three drummers raise both arms up.
Did I just consume way too many shroomz? Lol That set up would be way too confusing 😮 Over-all what did u think of that kit? Ive only had Roland kits ,but from what I've seen so far,,this module seems really nice. Btw, you really pierced that nipple gong
I play on a Roland TD-20. It is an immense advantage because you can switch the set on the fly. Though I have to confess that the cymbals don't feel right. No matter what eDrum you use.
Man, this was A LOT more confusing than I was expecting 😵💫 I kept forgetting about that durn nipple gong 😂
Nipple gong is the star of the show. Completely deflates everything you have going the second you hit it as if to signal the end of the groove.
😂
Thats a really nice ekit dude, i need something like that 😭
but its way better than the strike pro
Mm
Reading this before I've even gotten to your section of the video makes this comment extra special.
This is exactly how it looks and sounds when a bandmate who can't play drums gets behind the set during the song breaks.
My guitarist does that at practice sometimes….. he thinks cause he also has a drum kit at home, and learned how to hold a blast beat for like two seconds….. he’s the next Joey Jordison ….. 🤦🏼♂️
The guitarists that know one beat and hit you with a genuine “yo we should switch for a song” are low key the worst 😭
@@DirtySk8RatStaney hey man let him have a bit of fun, maybe he'll get better with the extra practice 😅
I love when casey finds the "bonus sound" at 9:17 even though he laughs he immediately incorporates it into the next few bars. First rule of jazz baby when u make a mistake repeat it !!
repetition legitimises
This is actually a really good way to challenge yourself and develop coordination and limb independence!
Hopefully, without “help” from a “friend”… lol
I feel like I’d just reset my muscle memory to be completely wrong! 😂
I'm REALLY conflicted on whether this helps or hurts - I could easily see it going either way😂
@@RyTrapp0 I think as long as you don't try to stick with it or learn it and study it. It helps reset your brain!
The little backstories KILLED me🤣🤣🤣

i wish i could see the brain in an FMRI machine. rewiring in real time
that nipple gong was comedic gold
The “Taco Bell Bonus” had me rolling 😂

My 6 year old son loves to do this. I have 2 presets he's not allowed to mess with but the rest he goes wild. It's always funny.
This video gives an alibi for every animated show that badly animates drums
Like when Bart Simpson is playing drums, the sounds were just swapped😂
@@TheYeetusLord ngl, i had exactly that in mind 😅
lol.
Animusic would be a nightmare if it was done like this.
Good lord this edit had me dying 😂☠️
never trust that cymbal! 😂
that nipple gong cracked me up every time. you’ve got a good groove running and then *doing!*
I’m glad that you all have such a good sense of humor. Me? I’d probably “nope” out the door.
Hahaha this seems terribly frustrating... 🤣
This is a great idea, I think drumeo should have their pros do this when they come on the show.
Drum kit randomizer speedrun!
"The legal fees bankrupted them all" 😂😂😂
true story...

4:54 my spleen hurts from laughing 😂
We need more of this style of videos.

This was so GD funny 😂 please keep this collab content coming
That's a brilliant, fun, and interesting way to demo that. Bravo.
The editing sent this video over the top in a great way. Loved this hahaha
You 3 gentlemen are evilly creative.😂❤️
9:49 Rhythm Heaven
The BEST video to watch on a chill Saturday night! Thanks for the laugh. 😂
Awesome smile on my face every time I get the notification for your videos
Missed opportunity to put a cowbell on some of these.
Don't fear the cowbell!
'We're not gonna take it' starts playing in the distance ;)
This has to be my favorite video on this channel
Never thought id be on the same level as my favorite youtube drummers haha
I've done this. It totally throws you, but it's kinda fun, because it gives me crazy ideas!
And so a new way to test electric drum stes was born.
My toxic trait is actually thinking i could do this way better than any of them
Isn't that how drumming always is though? lol
Thanks for this, had me laughing so hard!
That looks like fun actually
fantastic idea - and veeeeeery entertaining
Absolutely diabolical! Love it!
Dave, this was absolutely hilarious!😂
this is how you review an edrum kit
CRAZY fun video! Man I'm literally LOL'ing! NANNERS!!!!
Adam did the best hahah
This was fun to watch lol
This was pretty cool to see how quickly your able to adapt to the new setup. Very cool idea!
This is brilliant! 😆

tbh, this is probably an excellent way to practice independence on the drums!
ahah I just watched first 4 minutes and this is a complete gem already
BASIC ROCK BEAT UNLOCKED! ahahah should have GTA score thing for that
That was entertaining.
Hahaha, this was hilarious guys! Well done!
So, I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't get back to sleep. Then I watched this video, and I'm trying not to laugh too loud and wake everyone up.
Please do more of this. I also feel like their are so many variables here you can tweak into a series of videos
This was way funnier than it should have been
This is an evil prank

Great vid.
Do this again with 66Samus, and make every piece a different fart sound.😋
LMAO this is great
I really enjoyed the Skill Unlocks
lol a lot. the best video you have to date. great job so messed up and cool. i could not do that well or fair
This was really funny to me for some reason haha, thanks!

next time do different songs for each person.
This reminds me of the first time I played left-handed. Many stank faces that day!

Amazing video
This reminds me of trying to play garage band on an iPhone mini
I want to see if you guys can do this: ⤵️
*Solo:*

*Left and Right Mirror each other.*
Right Left Both. *Hit middle drum for both with both sticks* Right Left, Right Left. *Right Left drummer hits middle drum with their drumsticks individually on “Right Left”*
*Repeat*
Middle: Right Left Arms Up. Right Left, Right Left.
*Repeat for 28 seconds*
Finale: Left and Right hits both their drums and the middle drum three times. And the middle drummer hit his drum three times. On the last hit, all three drummers raise both arms up.
This is refreshing.
POV: you are Def Leppard drummer and feel super offended because this is literary what you play for last 30 years 😂
This is brilliant and hilarious.
this was so hilarious
BTW the interface of that control unit reminds me of a 100$ tablet of 10 years ago.
And yet nearly no e drunm modules have touchscreen interfaces. Wild how behind they are.
@@TheSalPic I'd prefer some buttons instead. simple buttons that work
I’d love to see what El Estepario could do with this challenge.
He would be shouting in Spanish and start punching things 😂
I liked how much Adam wanted to make it easier for Casey's whereas for Adam's kit y'all went all in on him lol
This makes me notice how bad I am at drums but how good I am at playing with terrible configurations, I usually do this for fun lol
🤣🤣😂😂 какие вы забавные , спасибо за эксперимент, очень рассмешили. Надо тоже попробовать так.
NOT THE 90s MOVIE ENDING TEXT!
this is how people play drum kit in cartoons when the animator has apparently never even seen a drum kit before
cool new video 🔥🔥🔥
Did I just consume way too many shroomz? Lol
That set up would be way too confusing 😮
Over-all what did u think of that kit? Ive only had Roland kits ,but from what I've seen so far,,this module seems really nice.

Missed a golden opportunity for an all gong kit

Bassist: "Hey man, we cabled up your rig while you were out."
There should be a random mode as a challenge like this.
@GiveawaayyWinner_TexxtNow yeah Buddy sure thing
What its like to play left-handed and sit in on some randos kit for a song
This video = POV Guitar Center employees 😂
Haha, so good!
I actually thought about swapping the drums and cymbals on my Titan 70 but didn’t because I didn’t want to ruin it
This just shows how good actual drummers are, they did pretty okay reprogramming muscle memory on the fly.
Literally a nightmare scenario if IRL 😮
dope!
Now do the same as drumeo, bring chad smith to play this and you'll worth millions!
Beautifully, savage 🤣
That second one shoulda been as easy as playing a drum pad. No feet were even needed!
What a laugh!
Nice video
it's like those videos when band is made to play with playback and the vocalist "plays" drums
