Why so much hate.
It's not designed nor advertised as BF2 or a competition to sea of thieves.
It's a stand alone ship combat game and doesn't try to hide that.

Ubisoft love the new update on skull and bones but 1 thing I don't like is the new ship looks ugly and looks worse then any other ship why cant we have a large ship for a change you done this new update only to have another medium ship that even looks small shame we can't have the brothers ship or a bigger one
The game is not bad, and does not need the same thing that every other pirate game in existence already has, to be good.
One can enjoy Skull and Bones, and Sea of Thieves, as they are completely different games, and both good in their own right.
Game is still alive, doing well, and is enjoyable to people who didnt have their heads up their butts expecting a remastered Black Sails or fall for click baiting reviews.
Even if the game has 20000-30000 active players it is still far below what a "AAAA" game should be having, the game also started as an expansion to black flag if I'm correct, still does not change the fact that the game without its pretty graphics is just a glorified mobile game

It is a great game I will say! Something everyone has been waiting for. But much needs for updates and new features. We need Guilds , island explorations , diving , fishing , melee combat, more places on map , more customizations etc. Can't wait to see where ubisoft take SnB overtime. Overall a great game and a fun experience in the high seas!

Nein leider nicht, aber du kannst deine alte schiffe verbessern 😊 die werden auch sehr stark dann, habe meine bark auf stufe 4 von 6 erhöht und man merkt schon grossen unterschied, es wird alles stärker Rumpf sowie Geschwindigkeit oder Wendigkeit 😊

give the opportunity to walk on the ship, invite friends. enter the ship and customize the furnishings of the captain's room.
make some capitals visitable on foot.
the race event would be nice to do cooperatively with friends who help you adjust the sails and act as navigator.

@@Hesh444Black flag was indeed never Remastered but I think he means a Remake. Even though the game is still in a good state and doesn't really need it IMO. I recently played it and have no problem with it.
@@mike_gusta2994 if they’re smart, a good remake can provide a greater customization to the gameplay, like having more ships or allowing character swapping.

Literally nobody in the Skull and Bones community want foot combat. It’s perfect to be a boat focused only.

Thank you for making a terrible change.... The Fleet it great, the Base Defense is horrible. I am not sure you tested it... Lvl 5 on, is rough AF! Makes me not want to increase my Factory levels past 4. In our discord server, 3000 ppl+ everyone is hating this. This is wayyyyyy overtuned. The waves spawn nonstop, and you can't kill ships fast enough without your factory dying in seconds. and then a massive penalty for failure. People levelled their factories to 10 expecting a challenge, but not an impossible one, and considering day 1 and I have 4, count them, 4 lvl 7 factories down for 7 hours, is a failure to execute an effective gameplay loop. Not to mention upgrades are grindyer than the rest of the game combined. 25 plate glass for 1 upgrade, with is what, 125 sheet glass? 125 shellac etc.
Ways to improve: Remove the failure penalty. Instead, maybe make us Fund it again. {resets the funding time} still a penalty, but not a brutal one.
Until the Def ACTUALLY starts, remove the Failure to it if you log out. If I have to leave, why should I be punished because the timer is going but the event hasnt started yet.....
Slow the spawn rates, OR the next wave doesnt spawn until the last wave has been dealt with. This alone might solve the main issue right now.
Limit how often defences pop. OR put a minimum start to it. Say Lvl 6 Manufactories. That way, if a player does not want to do Defence, they can opt out of it by keeping their manufactories Low level. Again, if they dont play much, they dont get penalized for logging off if a Defence pops.
These are simple solutions I think that would have been discovered if some PTB testing or community feedback was asked for. Involve your community if you want your game to succeed. You have a great platform, but you need to use the community who plays your game and allows you to continue to develop it, to make the game better and more appealing to all players, especially new players. You dont want them to dread to log on bc there might be a defence. Right now its being talked about to just log on Fund and log off. Thats the gameplay loop being discussed right now until changes are made.
I wish they add kraken sea monster.. That will be more fun

No offence to Ubisoft because i love some of their games, but Sea of Thieves puts this game to shame. That game its a masterpiece, one of the best i played, everything about it its top notch and pure quality. I found my self spending hours just sailing around and try to explore every island i see, the feeling of finding new stuff and pieces of lore and especially the feeling of not knowing what i will be stumble upon its amazing, not to mention that this game has the most realistic water in any video i have seen to date, literally my living room smells like salt:)
As much as I love sea of thieves defo having as much fun with this but they are ultimately very different games and I get what different but great experiences from both

Doubt it. Ubi has one of the best track records for live service game support. Look at games like For Honor, Division 2 etc. Still supported with new stuff to this day.

Black flag ship combat is basic and very easy.
An online game has to keep putting out new content to keep it interesting.
I played Black Flag when it was a new game, but I finished it and will never play it again.

@@CMM_1 There is a large variation in the difficulty of ships and enemies in the game. Hitting other ships and in their weak points is a challenge, and in rough seas aiming takes timing and observation. The ship combat in S&B is vastly deeper than the shallowness in Black Flag. And there is no way to cheese big ship enemies in S&B by merely staying behind them like in Black Flag.
I'm still waiting for sword and pistol combat, but sure keep adding stuff to the game it doesn't need

I wasted money buying this game. Once I saw how bad it was, I didn't put a single coin into it, if they want this game to succeed add the things a pirate game is supposed to have, but no they'll add more cosmetics

It's a shame that you can't play alone with friends, the level is of course higher than playing alone
So since ubisoft canceled the crew online servers, which was an online only game. You can't play it anymore. So that means any ubisoft game that is online only is a waste of money and time because they will shut the severs down and take your money. Thanks ubisoft.
I think they should take the time after year one because they already have it planned and do a full fledged ground combat system so we can actually board ships and forts. Would probably bring a lot of people on if they did.

Before the update I had 120 FPS on average, after the update (on the same settings) I cant even get it to 50 FPS. Anyone else have this problem?
Love the game, regardless of the hate that it gets. It’s not black flag and doesn’t have melee combat. Good, I wanted a ship combat game. I got what I want. Sorry for those who didn’t get what they wanted. Shame cause I like the endgame systems and think more people should get to experience it but they won’t give it a chance. Alas. I’ll enjoy it

I never beat the game. So I never played Season 1.
So if I'm not able to access all this Season 1 content by the time I get around to it I'm just going to keep shitting on this game and more besides. And this is coming from somebody who actually likes and enjoys the open world Ubiformula.

It’s your crew, you need to use food/drink etc as you sail to replenish the crews stamina.
