The big mounds are good! They’ve given me some bogies, but that’s what good obstacles do. Shame they are back to back though.
Ohn is one of the best putters in disc golf history- not just FPO.
I love Ohn but this claim is only true if you cast a wide enough net when using the phrase “one of the best putters in disc golf history”. From 2020-2023, her C1X avg of 83% and C2 avg of 18% puts her at #1 and #10 in FPO (respectively) but #40 and #96 if you factor MPO into the mix. So she is absolutely one of the best FPO putters in disc golf history but I wouldn’t say that Top 40 and Top 100 are sufficient to prove the claim “one of the best putters in disc golf history”. All that said, no one could argue that she is a beast on the green.
I don’t like baskets on mounds. As I watch a round, I rank each hole. I determine what skill it tests out of these skills: max D RHBH, max D RHFH, RHFH, straight, RH flex, low ceiling, RH spike hyzer, RH turnover, RH anhyzer. When I watched hole 10, my initial reaction was “I hate it”. How can C1 even be reached? I had also just watched some of the front 9 of MPO and it looked like their holes tested skill shots. I plan to evaluate more closely but the FPO holes seemed like easier shots and distance was what mattered. I hate that. Please test skill shots like those I have listed.
