    He attained the conditioning to be competitive in 2016 and the size in 2018. He never put the two together. But then there's something you either have or you don't. That head-to-toe front-to -back detail and muscle separation. Time takes that away. But what we still don't absolutely know for certain is how much of that detail is out of reach for a 50+ Levrone, because he hasn't come close to subjecting himself to a full precontest regimen, possibly because he himself considers it a mystery and doesn't want to do any great harm to his body. If he ever decides to go full nuclear in the near future and actually box with the current pros you would see him bigger than in 2018, and leaner than 2016. But even then, would we see good detail in the back and legs? Good separation? I think Kevin is still deciding on whether or not he needs to give himself these answers.

    Much respect to Kev. I was always a fan of him and was really stoked and supportive of his drive to the Olympia. Did I think he’d win or place? No.. but hey, the guy is how old... and he is WAY bigger than he was before he started. There’s a lot to be said about that. Besides, in this era of bubble guts and no symmetry, Kev is a breath of fresh air. Kev - I hope you’re reading this. YOU ACCOMPLISHED A LOT BRO... AND INSPIRED MORE THAN YOU THINK. God Bless.

    I don’t think most people will ever understand how hard these guys work. I was extremely dedicated at one point and time in my life and was working out literally twice a day 1 hour weights and 1 hour hard cardio and most people just couldn’t keep up with me at all, including myself now I couldn’t do that now, but I will say this I kept my weights light and did lots of reps so I know there r people that work much harder than even that. Like I hated that feeling after leg day when I could barely walk I avoided that, & I know there are people that embrace that instead.

  • @grimmer2005

    Kevin you're the man!
    Everybody complaining here are just negatives (and the world are FULL of them), these people will never push the boundries themselfs nor any limits. In the 60-70s the Mr Olympias where in their 20's, now they are in their 40's. People are pushing the boundries forward all the time. Proving that the limits can be pushed and extended, and proving naysayers wrong. I think its much more a matter of attitude and mental strenght than anything else. Shawn Rhoden didnt think "im too old for this sh-t" when he was training for Mr Olympia, and he won over everybody, all these younger people.
    Levrone has already set a new standard, and in such short time is simply amazing, with leg injury and all. I have no doubt that if he just keep going at it, he would get even better.
    Now Levrone has health in mind doing this, and this may be the main factor to why he wouldnt reach that extra procent, and I really respect that, its smart. And doesnt matter really, he has really shown some amazing deeds these years. Levrone has Pushed the boundries further.

    I say this as a massive fan of KL and someone who followed his career right from the early 90s. I feel like Kevin relied so much on his awesome genetics in the sense that he wanted to do what he’d done when he was younger and expected to get the same results. He didn’t take into account his age. Like he tore his pec early on in his comeback. U just can’t go heavy like u could when u were younger, the body WOnt take it. Dennis James tried to show KL a safer way to stimulate muscle, I feel it was a mistake on his part not to heed that advice. But after his last show in Australia, Milos Sarcev offered to guide KL into one more show. KL not excepting this offer was a great shame imo, we will never know what Milos could’ve done with him-but I think it would’ve been Good!!

    Kevin’s Guest posing after the Arnold Australia proved that with the right coaching and time, he could be a top 10 Olympian today. There are some people in this world that are genetic beasts. Kevin’s one of them.

    • @heavymetalfitness2091
      @heavymetalfitness2091 6 років тому +1

      denzel k .... I meant that they could be. With more time and proper coaching he could *potentially* be top 10. Milos is the guy I think that could make it happen for kev. Hopefully he considers doing the Olympia.

    • @michaelr.4878
      @michaelr.4878 6 років тому +3

      Welcome to the jungle - Nah dude...Milos's giant sets and insulin won't bring Kevin back to his prime years. You can't defeat father time. Kevin was already slipping the last couple of years before he retired for the first time...especially his legs. Sure, he blamed it on an injury. But it would have happened injury or not. We all age. It happens.
      ...at the same time, I wonder what Kevin would have looked like if he had been able to get his hands on some escicline. He competed during the escicline era..and apparently, he loved the stuff. Just look at what his delts used to look like hehe. Maybe a few shots in his back and quads could have fixed him up...hhah..nahh, i'm just plalying. Kevin got 'old'... great genetics or not, you can't stop your body from aging.

    • @heavymetalfitness2091
      @heavymetalfitness2091 6 років тому +2

      Michael R. I don’t think kev will ever be at 100% again. But if he could get even 10th place at the O, then that would be extraordinary! Of course that’s a long-shot, but that could happen. I’ve seen Kevin train, the one thing I noticed is that he trains extra heavy. For someone that is on anabolics, it’s not a smart way to train. A high pace workout with lots of volume could potentially be better. It’s all about getting a massive pump and volume if you are enhanced. I noticed Kevin was very Thick, but if he focused on the pump, he could improve. And I say milos is the guy because he’s all about high intensity training. I noticed Kevin doesn’t like to switch it up from heavy lifting. Perhaps a little variety could help.

    • @defaultdefault812
      @defaultdefault812 6 років тому

      Forget top 10. He doesn't have the anabolic response to androgens in his legs anymore. Upper body... Maybe.

    • @badsaint1019
      @badsaint1019 6 років тому +3

      Again, why are people still thinking he can compete...look at his physique in 2003 his body was nothing like it was in the mid 90s...he might have some amazing genetics, but his training method of going balls to the wall for a few months was just to get back his body to where it was so he never made any improvements in his physique and his body just gradually got worse I'd say in 98 was the last year of his prime. Does he look better than 99.9% of 50 years olds..yes, but he can not be competitive with today's younger open class. His skin elasticity is gone as you saw how his back and glutes look melted. Just let the guy retire and focus on his brand. The only thing that is going to grow on Kevin is his line of excuses...he said he learned his lesson early in his career about flying in a previous interview "How I see it" and how it affects you, so I'm not buying his excuse about his arnold appearance.

    I personally would like to see him try and keep the size while getting the insulin gut down like 2016.

    if his lower body was up to par like his upper body, he would have a lot of bb on stage currently. The only reason why his legs didn't come back wasn't for lack of muscle response, it was simply bad knees that slowed his progress. I think he needed a little more time and he would have great!

    Nice words. But i also remember the words before his comeback. Sounded a bit different. Like he had a chance for a good placement at the Olympia. He is a legend. He wrote Bodybuildinghistory. But that are my honest thoughts about the whole story.
