Wow been looking for a video like this for years
He is awesome. I actually took his freight broker training course. It was so helpful, informative and simplified. I didn't become a broker but I did however become a carrier owner Operator where I got a truck and hired a driver. It definitely helped for me to know both aspects of the industry and how things should flow
Great period of instruction 🤟🏿
Thank you. That was very helpful.😅

Awesome video

Keep it coming thank you for Blessing us!
Hello Brando how are you? You helped me significantly to know about the business and now I really want to me to be on this business and everything is thanks to you :) Have a fantastic one
Are all contracts digitally signed? Sorry this might be a dumb question
It’s not a dumb question brother . Answer is no . Just like when you receive your bolz at the shippers .. they’ll hand you a physical copy when loading/unloading as a driver .
You're a great educator sir! Do you offer any learning material, sorry I'm new here....
Thank you Brandon this information was very helpful
super duper fantastic!
excellent. Thank you
Regulations needed for percentage. 5 percent tops
Thanks for the video. I have a question. As a broker, is most of your communication with the carrier via email or do they call you?
Love your videos. Do you have one telling us about how to come up with rates for shippers and carriers? Im new😮💨any info would help
I found you a year ago.
And I’ve been preparing to open my own brokerage firm.
Do you do consulting?
(I’m currently a driver and I’ve mainly been in the flatbed heavy haul rigging sector. Big money)
How can I become a broker? Dose anyone have any advice? Please share it with us.
Thank you
Very informative video.. thank you ❤
Great Video!
thank you
I have a question for you Mr B
Good afternoon. I am a new Freight Broker. I need assistance with finding a bond company. Do you have any recommendations?
Hey, Brandon. Love your videos and they've helped me a lot. I have everything ready for my company to get going, just waiting on my MC, probably go live June 1 or just before. Couple questions.......1. Is a "Rate Quote" and "Rate Confirmation" sufficient in place of a Broker Shipper Agreement/Contract & Broker Carrier Agreement/Contract? I realize they're the same thing, but you're examples cut out all the legal mumbo jumbo :) 2. Is it really ok to pay the shipper after the trip is complete? Meaning, I saw other sites that said to pay the shipper upon P/U and not wait until delivery and the BOL paperwork.
What about that carrier package you mentioned?
Brandon, you mentioned that the driver needs to make sure the BOL matches the driver's paperwork, Are you referring to the confirmation paperwork? Thanks.
yes sir..make sure the order number on BOL is the same as your order number/purchase order number on your rate con...verify woth broker..
Can you be a freight broker and a truck driver at the same
Yes. If you can handle the responsibilities/workload. But if your asking as 1 company..it's recommended that you have the brokerage authority run under its own llc apart from the truck authority
nothing legally is preventing one from doing both....trying to operate 2 major busimesses at the same time will be challenging but people do it...
What your asking is called a complete trucking company. Jb hunt, XPO and all the big guys have in house broker agents while they run loads as well. They only out source when they can't cover themselves. So yes you can have a trucking company and a brokerage all in one to start a trucking company.(Trucks drivers and Broker agents)
Where can I access a "rate quote contract" for step one? Thanks in advance.
Fyi carriers never get the fuel surcharge. It goes straight into the broker's gas tank 🙄.
Not true.
@@JacksonW-b9q Prove it
Some do some dont
Hey Brandon what happens if the shipper don’t want to send load out? And what happens if carrier don’t want to send load out even though both parties signed paper? And how does the money get transferred to me and the carrier?
I have questions, I’m a driver and think to become a broker
Are there rate quote templates available online Brandon,Thanks.
not sure...rate quotes / confirmations come via TMS...
Hi! What is your advice on selling a brokerage?
Do you send the same paperwork to the factoring company?
factoring co will usually provide a list of docs they want...those docs will usually be the same as you saw in this video.
HE MEANT TO SAY $900 ON THE RATE CON
Dear Mr Brandon iam your great admirer I wanted you work as an intern for 15 days free of charge to learn practical any possibilities ?
Best regards
Do we really need to do all these stuff just to see d out a load ?
Why wouldn't you? Don't want to get paid?
You would be a great math or critical thinker teacher
Why a broker would pay more to a dispatch company than to a carrier !? I tried to book a load and I normally don’t win so my last resort is put a bid on a app which is Dispatch Hannah I would put the same amount as I would ask to a Broker dispatch would give it to me and I’m 100% sure the brokers end up giving them more money so my question is why would they prefer dispatch company?
My goal is to cut out the DISPATCH Company. Sometimes they give misleading information, incorrect pick up times etc. I do have 1 contract specifically with a broker. But I need to get these dispatch companies out of the equation
Are you freight broker or customer?
Same people who destroyed the industry also. Operating costs now exceed $2 a mile. Going out of business after28 years
Cry about it. Plenty thousands of other drivers having a good time out there, making good money. Nobody's fault but yours for settling for BS rates from BS brokers. See ya ✌️
@@Sorsby-LLC I don’t use brokers. Contracts. But you’re not telling the truth. If you think you are post someone truck revenue currently. I bet you can’t
@@Sorsby-LLC current operating cost as of now 2024 is $2.25 a mile. With driver and insurance workman’s comp etc. learn operations cost before you bid on freight. See where your at rates wise. Again don’t lie to people
@jackking9400 It's not my job to calculate a trucking company or even a single truck driver's yearly revenue, and I would never even attempt to. That's the driver's job, or the owner of that truck's job. I post good rates, they call. If I try and get away with bullshit rates, they don't call or if they do call they negotiate up to a rate of their satisfaction that meets their needs and 9 times outta 10- I give it to them. If you can't negotiate better contracts or better rates for the lanes you've dedicated your truck to, that sounds like a *you* problem.
@jackking9400 And you keep saying "lie". Where or what is it that you think I'm "lying" about? I broker damn freight. Pay drivers decent. There's not much lying to be done. If I come across a customer who doesn't wanna pay enough for me *and* the driver to prosper, I fire the customer. It's just that simple. I don't have the time to be crumb snatching $100 margins and I don't have the patience for cheap, terrible service.
what's a lumper fee...?
A Fee For Unloading Or Offloading
@@KOK536 Thanx bud. What kind of $ are we talking about. ?
Some places charge between $100-$400 or even more.
@@shaunsumpter3862 Thanx Shuan I suppose this is something the shipper pays?
I want to come to the office
ok...🫢
DRIVERS NEED DIRECT SHIPPERS! Brokers have corrupted the industry and are stealing from us. I look forward to the moment when the useless FMCSA do their job, regulate the brokers or take them out of the market, we are the ones who move the loads and we are the ones who face the daily danger.
How they steal from drivers ?
Im a driver so I want to make that clear but brokers are a necessary evil. Here’s why:
Shippers do not want to deal with 100 carriers. A owner operator can’t move all their freight. They don’t have time for that.
And that’s where the broker comes into play. Additionally, just because you know how to drive a truck doesn’t mean you can speak corporate and understand what’s going on in the shippers side.
Brokers research their customers, and cater to them. There is a relationship. While you’re just trying to get loads before even doing any research or marketing.
The brokers need to go there's no real need for them..everything should be done between the carrier and the shipper the shipper saves money and The courier makes more get rid of the broker
Thank you for the information buddy I don't like you
Hey just letting you know that I entered my name and email because I wanted to learn more about you broker strategies and an error message is coming up every time 🤷🏼♀️, just letting you know so maybe you can fix the problem. Happy Monday, Have a nice day 😊
