Thanks for the demo, Abel - great as usual. Really diggin' the Engl although I wonder why all (?) companies always model the ancient Powerball I although the Powerball II has been out for many, many years now. Other than that STL Tones really nailed the sound of the Powerball! \m/
Brainworx/Plugin Alliance did the Victor Smolski, which is a PB II with a different paint job. It doesn't sound that great though. This STL/Ignite Powerball sounds decent here, it certainly gets the low mid woof. I guess I'll give it a shootout with my actual Engl later and see
@@blutos - I know the E646 from PA but I'm not the biggest fan of their plugins in general. Too expensive, toe restrictive and sound is not overwhelming at all.
@@mendicantbias5211 I think this sounds better than the dry sounding neural trash and the new Engl amp for this month is incredible. I don't really need to buy any of the neural garbage if I am happy with the stl products (I also have the will putney amp package) the money neural are charging for their products during covid is absolutely idiotic when people aren't working that's including myself who has a heart problem due to a virus being in it. So no I'm not a cheapskate , I'm actually poor at the time and this comment is almost over a week old so it's kind of irrelevant to even be bothering me.
SO IT'S NOW NOVEMBER 4TH , WHY DON'T WE HAVE OUR NEW WHATEVER YET? I BOUGHT A SUBSCRIPTION FOR A NEW AMP EVERY MONTH AND WE ALL HAVE NOTHING.. DID YOU FORGET? ARE YOU LAZY? WHAT IS GOING ON?
Amphub doesn`t sound as good as Tonehub for some reason. It has flaws of the most amp sims we heard over the years. But Tonehub sounds are like a level above this, at least to me.
@@chugbawamba Ton of aliasing all over the place. High end harmonics of digital nature which real amps do not possess. Awesome, I can't wait for that one very savage Engl ;)
YES! Well done, you guys from STL Tones and Abel! Sounds sick!
Great job Abel, you always make it look easy. I love STL Amphub and can't wait for a Mark V model...fingers crossed.

What would you say are the typical flaws of most amp sims over the years (as you mentioned) ??
