So, please tell us what exactly what went wrong with your trans ..... I have been told by quite a few people to put half to three quarters quart more fluid than is called for to protect against bearing failure ....... it has to do with a bearing high in the trans case ..... I'm going to listen to them for my '18 turbo (same as yours) ....... one has to jack up the back end to add it ........ as a side note, my machine has not had the intermittent shift "grind" since I started doing this ........

Just FYI
All the xx models are the same yammy tripple design from the Arctic cat thundercat snowmobile!
There is a yellow 10mm plastic drain plug on the bottom center between 2 clips of the outer cvt cover.
I get my xx in much deeper water than that and I’ve yet to get water in the cvt. I bet he got the water in the cvt exhaust snorkel from all the wheel spin or his cvt seal is not sealing somewhere. It’s easy to pinch the seal wrong if you don’t put the outer cvt cover on carefully.
Another thing…the motor oil is a dry sump system and will not fire until the oil pressure reaches the correct psi level! It’s normal nothing is wrong with the delayed start. They are an excellent engineered designed unit!! Very under rated! Ive been very satisfied with mine since 2018! Ive rode everywhere from windrock to brimstone to turkey bay!
Excellent trail machine in most terrain! Also depends on how you set up the xx clutch and what tires you run as well! The main downside is they are very heavy around 1800lbs stock empty weight! Has plenty of power 130hp for naturally aspirated engine!
There is no perfect stock unit but it’s a lot closer than many out there! Definitely built better than most stock machines on the market. Aside from the upcoming speed utv! And maybe the krx 1000!
And lastly if you’ve never actually drive one your really missing out!!!
Very driver friendly and it makes you a good driver if your not the best!
100% agree with this! I love my 18 XX. Its a beast! One of the fixes that required to be done after you pick an XX is putting in a coolant bleed line. Super simple to do. This guy didnt do it and caused it to shear its impeller off the water pump. Every platform has issues and this is just one of those kind of issues that need to be dealt with.
@@mattking8761 I did the bleeder fix then finally just upgraded to a billet aluminum impeller from Dasa racing! It was an easy but kinda expensive upgrade but better than catastrophic engine failure!

We use the same lunch box to heat our food while we are driving 😊
The muff pots are awesome! Nothing beats a tasty warm meal on the trails!!
Excellent job on capturing the entire side by side experience! Other content producers really just add a music track to their GoPro video and post online. Gets boring fast! Love the way you cover the preparation before the ride, unloading at the start point, of course all the great riding and commentary, and finally the pack-up and recovery afterward. Someone new to side by sides might not realize everything that goes into it. Also enjoy the transparency you provide about all the haters, the challenges and the appreciation for the subscribers. Could go on and on but overall, great job on this content, keep the videos coming!

Reading your comment was a highlight of my day and hearing you appreciate the feel of the adventure makes it worth all the time that goes into these videos. I always try to take a moment to appreciate the viewers, subscribers and channel supporters because they give me the motivation that keeps pushing me to create more. Without all of you I wouldn’t be where I am with the channel. Years ago when I first gave video editing a try I was on a mission to put together something I would really want to watch. I didn’t want to watch a bunch of 2-3 minute cell phone clips, I wanted to go on an adventure. I wanted something that had the same value to me as a properly produced tv show/documentary but there was no really good Offroad content in mainstream media at the time. It’s taken me 10 years to work up to where I am now and I still have a long way to go. The points you mention about prep, loading up, getting there, the shenanigans in between, the ride, issues and challenges along the way, the return, load, home, wash, repair and repeat…. That’s the lifestyle we live. I want to create reality Offroad, lol. Not Hollywood reality, real reality, I want to share the entire experience. I’m Happy to hear you feel I’m meeting most of those goals. Thanks again, I really appreciate the feedback.

I own a 2018 Textron Wildcat x. I get the bad looks and s*it talk from others with much more expensive rigs. Don’t get me wrong, I love the more expensive Polaris and Can Ams but my rig goes everywhere theirs does.

REALLY Hope to see detailed review of the electronic sway bar, and hopefully how it mechanically works with the 3 different stiffness setting/modes. Been curious about it for a long time and have not seen anyone explain how it does its job, or how well it works in the different modes available.
Loving the content. Specially the technical info towards car specs.
Just a small opinion. I do know the conversations about the cars are meant to be informal, but some kind of "check list" would be nice to have, so as to keep the topics somehow similar between cars, as I feel the information may be lost in translation in the conversation otherwise. It would also feel more homogeneous (so as to compare info between them) after a few cars have been checked - in my opinion of course.
Regarding the sxs I like the most. It has to be that Wildcat. Love the sound. And it seems very nimble, nervous and ready to tackle anything (apart from big rocks). Tim also has got something to do with it. He manages to drive the thing as it should. Hard, but not overly agressive. With the correct amount of input to that side by side.
Fish was wounded/unluky unfortunately. But he will come back strong and will make for great content again I'm sure. 👌

Hey Ricardo, thanks for leaving such a well thought out comment. I really appreciate feedback like this, it helps me know what people watching are thinking which helps me improve future videos. The checklist idea is good, I’ll have to try to get some standard questions drilled into my head. The issue often is these videos are not planned or scripted at all. Everything happens on the fly and I don’t carry any notes. Some rides flow together really well and others just don’t mesh up as nicely since there are so many variables at play.
What I would like to do this summer is interview a bunch of guys regarding their machines all on the same ride and have a bit of a group discussion on the topic. I think that way we can all discuss our thoughts in a fun way. I’d like to do the same regarding tires also.
Fish will be back in action, we all know he always bounces back. Just a little hiccup. Some growing pains but once he gets everything dialed in again the Commander will be next level!!

The folks I ride with are great. We are trying our hardest trail next weekend. I was on a small portion of of it a month ago. I love the challenging rock climbs and gnarly obstacles. We are searching for a trail supposedly made by some hunters 40 years ago...... Very gnarly area to narrow for side by sides, but most of the guys that I ride with are atvers. I've been trying to find atv trails that look like the trails you ride. I think that I finally have. Keep up the good work Adrenaline Junkie!

ya it’s sucks how it played out with the diff but I have to say that even before we teamed up with superatv years ago a lot of us used their parts and they always stand behind their product. This is visibly an issue that wasn’t caused by abuse or anything and they acknowledge that and told us they would remedy it. They are a good brand.

Love seeing all the various machines. Some OHV channels are dedicated almost exclusively to brand new highly modded high dollar machines. I like that you've got alot of budget friendly stock machines as well as some big mods all riding together! Keep up the good work. Loved the long video

As for the heavily modified machines comment, just look at Tim in the wildcat, spanking machines worth 3 to 4 times as much. The most important mod is the driver mod. With all the mods on fish tank it is now in line with a stock xp1k rzr. 🤗 don’t feel bad. I did a bunch of mods on a teryx800.
The Commander does well and so does a Teryx 800!! It's great to see all the various platforms head to head, makes for a way more interesting ride!

Ive watched a few videos with that KRX, and that machine works so good. Its an impressive machine. Tim really works that Arcticcat through those obsticles. I just put new tierods and ends on , so hopefully i can get Battlecat back out very soon. Thanks for the video.
Hey Tim. Ya, the KRX is really suited to this type of terrain. It does awesome. It’s a force to be reckoned with. Corny in the green KRX isn’t scared to hit any obstacle. It’s a very well planted machine and it connects power to the ground very effectively. As for Timma in the Wildcat… he’s just as much of an animal as that machine is. He defies the laws of physics every ride, lol. He puts that thing through hell and it rarely misses a beat. Both these guys are a blast to watch out on the trail. I feel the variety of machines we have adds a lot of excitement to the rides!

Best thing I have done to fix that is use tire plugs pushed between the rim and tire with a screw driver along where the rim is bent by laying the plug along the rim and push it in sideways

If you put hot hands packs in a small cooler with your go pro batteries it'll keep them warm n the charge will last longer.
We were recently talking about that on a ride! I'd rock a tie die suit for sure! I know the hippies would love some.

I’ve had other RZR riders tell me to never get rid of it..just fix it..
The most important mod on any vehicle is the driver! It’s the same reason I like to hold onto machines. You get to know them inside out and they basically become an extension of your body.

I used to live in Michigan and moved to Wisconsin for work and always wanted to try and ride with you guys. Ya, the wildcat is out there to hurt feelings lol. The KRX is a beast in this type of terrain though. This is where it really shines.

The black XX does have a drain plug on the clutch case.. just didnt look hard enough. right at the bottom center.

#finntrail awesome video . Oh and for the kawasaki I believe I've seen a supercharger for them if he is interested. A little bummed the fish tanks diff didn't hold up better , it looked as though it made some great improvements. Can't wait to see another video.
Thanks, glad you liked the video. Ya, we have been talkin about them supercharger kit amongst the crew for a while. Force turbos also makes a turbo kit for it I believe. It would be awesome with one of those setups. I wonder how it would hold up or how it would affect reliability/driveability on terrain like this. In regards to the Fish Tank, ya it sucks the diff popped on him. It was working amazing until it did!
He will be pulling it out soon so we will see what actually failed.

Happy Easter, fish and the og commander are why I got my first commander ,I put it though hell never had problems. I just upgraded to 2021 maverick
Xxc wanted something with more ground clearance. Would like to see some new commanders and maverick. Not many reviews out there for them . Looking forward toward s I me spring videos. I love these videos! I dont yet have a side by side of my own, but I will this year. My family loves sitting down and watching all of the different machines traverse the land and the personalities that go with their drivers. As far as choosing a side by side, selection and inventory where I am located is slim...so it will probably be what ever I can get! Thanks for the hard work and for keeping it 💯

Ya, it's an awesome setup! I can't imagine it being cheap but it works excellent and looks mean as hell.
Tim in the wildcat is super impressive. I think his wildcat has a lower centre of gravity than the other machines as well which helps a lot. As always I love watching the krx it’s an impressive machine. I need to have my rzr set up for both higher speed trails and slow rough trails as there isn’t long enough stretches of rough trails to warrant a full soft set up. Would love to get some good dry riding gear #finntrail
100% correct. My 150pound 1/4 steel plate I made for rock smashing adds an extra advantage creating an even better lower CG. That mixed with the 3psi in both front and rear tires gives this kitty serious claws for climbing even with worn out tires.

Thanks Stephen! Glad to hear you found the video entertaining. Fish just pulled the diff and we are sending it back to SuperATV so they can inspect it. They are sending Fish a new one. Not sure what failed inside. Once I know I’ll update everyone in an upcoming video.
