I’m watching this 13 years after it was posted, and reminiscing about my recent trip from California to Glastonbury - it was magical. I hold this sacred land in my heart forever. Will return again someday.
Long time no see, for it's a long time since I went to dear old Glastonbury. Strange, enchanted place, in strange and ever-darkening days, as we approach the time of change, as days of terror come our way. Pain then leads to a new and magical way, spoke of in legends of old that promise of the coming of the resurrection day, and in this sacred place that be, the olde and ancient town of Glastonbury, it is well known amongst some, that soon comes the new Jerusalem, so hearken to the herald as angels sing, and glory be to the new born King, who leads and ushers the new epoch in.
Glastonbury would be even better without the charity shops. Remove them from the high street and put them in a side street leading out of town. They pay only a fraction of rates and rent which is why they can afford to set up shop in the High Street. With no charity shops in prime places then the rents and business rates would have to come down to attract new shops and because the existing ones would no longer have to subsidise the charity shops.
