Hey Jordan. It was nice meeting you yesterday at the shoot. Nice video, and great job at the shoot yesterday. I look forward to seeing your next video. Filming is something ive been wanting to do myself. Maybe next year I'll finally start.
It was a pleasure meeting you. I sat down this morning to start editing. I am hoping the club does a winter shoot this year. I’d love to try filming that with a larger group of shooters.
@@TheOkayestOutdoorsman I live overseas so no ranges here, I shoot trad on my 2.5 acre hobby farm. Next time I come to Maryland or Florida I plan on giving it a try. There is a range near my son in laws place near Baltimore.
Thank you for the feedback. There should be another shoot coming up soon. I’ll film it from a left side perspective and see if I can incorporate some sort of action camera for shot placement footage.
Thanks for all of the replies to my questions . . . one more if you don't mind. Do you know of any Traditional Archery 3-D Ranges in the Sherman-Island Falls-Houlton area? Thanks again. Fred
White tee shirt guy was struggling to pull the one bow back. His arm was shaking on a lot missed shots after the first few targets, but switching bows with is father seemed to help. Probably was a lighter draw? Blue shirt with the Black Widow was shooting like a damn champ though.
Thanks for the compliment!!! The guy in the white tee shirt hadn’t shot in quite a while but he went out and gave it his best just the same. Snow has melted away in Maine so hopefully I can take the Widow to another match soon. Thanks for watching!!
This range is in Durham in between Brunswick and Lewiston. I know Old Town Archery has an indoor range but I don’t think they have anything set up for outdoor. That’s probably the closest to Bangor.
I think it’s maybe 10 dollars to enter. They have another shoot coming up. July 8/9 it’s going to be a 2 day event but I’ll probably only be able to make one day.
@@TheOkayestOutdoorsman Gifts???s rattle snske behind every rock or a scorpion or a drug runner ??? If those are gifts..we can do without them. Arizona is not a good place to be!!!
The long bow being used is a Bear Montana pulling #35. The two smaller recurves are I think Bear Kodiak Mags at #40/45. My bow is a Black Widow PCHX drawing #50.
@@TheOkayestOutdoorsman Thanks, appreciate your reply. One of the bows shows the deer burr knobs on the belly side of the riser/limbs . . . usually they are on the back side . . . was curious about their location . . . is that the Black Widow bow?
Who goes to get the arrows on missed 3D's ?? You can't just leave them there. The guy in the white tee shirt was a terrible shot I don't think he hit even one target.
After the group is done shooting we all walk down range together to pull arrows and help others find their arrows. I think his father said he hadn’t shot a bow in 2 years. But he still came out and gave it a try.
Dan, have you ever been to a 3D shoot? Ever shot a bow? Missing and hunting for arrows is half the fun. You may want to watch the video again... the kid nailed quite a few right out of the gate. Everyone misses. That is why it's a challenge to shoot traditional recurves and longbows without sights, string walking or 2 foot stabilizers. Not everyone goes to the range to win a trophy. Some of us just enjoy having fun.
I appreciate not having to look at idiots using bows with gizmos attached to them like sights, scopes, stabilizer bars and what not. What's the furry balls you have attached to the strings?

I know that course very well from my time as a member of the Maine Traditional Archers. Thanks for sharing!
Great video. Well done . I liked the intro and the slow mo shots
Thanks buddy!! Can’t wait to do it again.
Beautiful range, good shooting guys,, looks like a lot of fun.
Thank you!! This is the only 3D range over ever been to. I still have a lot to learn but it sure is a lot of fun.

These videos are much more enjoyable when you show where the arrows landed as well as shut Lefty
That last word should be shot

Over shooting in my area is called.."Chopping Timber"!
😂😂

I don’t know of any trad ranges in the area. I heard there was one in houlton but it has since closed.
Nice shooting, Jordan!
Thanks Fred!!!

@@TheOkayestOutdoorsman Aye! Thanks for the content. It's gets kinda hard to find good fun archery on youtube. Keep it up man!
Good 👍
First! Good shootin bud!
Good shootin'
Where in Maine is the 3-D Range located? Everything seems to be located south of Bangor!

what a beautiful range. Totally opposite to what is in southenr Arizona...
Maine is vastly different. But Arizona has its gifts as well.

@@raginroadrunner yeah I meant the saguaro cactus and the Chiricahua mountains.
@@TheOkayestOutdoorsman Both of those are worthless.
Any chance someone could just mention the bows that were used by brand name and poundage?

@@resoluteretreat1532 Yes sir that’s the Black Widow. The limbs attach to the belly side of the riser as well.
Black Widow as mentioned & Bear Montana 35#, Vintage Bear early 70's green Kodiak Magnum 45# and 2021 Bear Supermag 48 in 40#.
Interesting video being from ME!!! Suggestions on places to go try out some trad bows since I’m about to switch over from compounds?

Guys with short bows never get to full draw

Those are wool string silencers. They just help to quiet the bow down a bit.
On the Bear longbow, Kodiak Magnum and Supermagnum 48 we have "Beaverballs" from 3 Rivers Archery attached.
