Why didn‘t they even try to do the cutscenes great..I mean the animations, how he transformes in super sonic or some awkward silence are kinda cringe but the game is still pretty good, could be better of they wanted to..
I'm gonna guess that it was a lot of the time restraints they had to work with, combined with all the creative changes they made throughout the development of the game that set them back (because there were A LOT of changes throught the development cycle) that played into it.
