Norman Coburn was a good actor. alot of the home and away cast were underrated when i look back at these clips. better than some other soaps thats for sure.
I like how they started to throw back to previous eras of the show in 2000, whilst also attempting to move things along with new characters. This is a particularly good storyline harking back to the early 90's and feels very 'early years' focusing on Sam, Fisher, and Greg and throwing Sally into the mix too.
Loved Don the headmaster in Home And Away.Who would think Ryan Clarke would become a lifegaurd on Bondi Beach once he grew up.He is now married with two sons and lives near to Bondi Beach.
I think Greg had clearly moved on, Sam stayed with Don because he (and Summer Bay) was the closest connection to Bobby who was the closest thing Sam had to a mother and he still missed her.
I think it's because the general audience who watch the show these days are all 35+. That's not to say they don't want to see young characters, but I think the producers have stopped trying to attract teenagers/young people. At one point the show was massively popular with people under the age of 18, I don't think that's the case anymore.
@@MarkHarrison733 Yeah whereas now it's a young adult show, generally focusing on the dramas of 30-somethings. I stopped watching years ago, it's nothing like it was
@@Harry-fk5ofI'm 54 and would love to see young kids back in the show, I loved the early years of home and away, don't really like the new home and away.
Why did Greg keep thanking Don by saying he's done a great job with Sam, when it was Pippa who raised him for years? Plus if Don loved Sam so much why didn't he take him in after Bobby died?
Ross newton played Greg from 1991 to 1993 and again 2000 lol he does look like Steve Irwin lol home and away rarocks Greg was married to bobby dons daughter who was d foster daughter and in 1989 it was revealed that morag was he mum and don her dad wow the years fly by Sam was bobbys adopted son
Don though a lot of Sam as for Greg he wasn’t much of a father was never there for Sam I should no my own father was around but never had much time for me
I think he was fine as an adolescent in real life, but his adolescent character in Home and Away was bratty. Understandable in a way, with his difficult family situation. In an interview when he was a teenager, he said he wasn't as cheeky or as easily led as Sam.

He almost stuffed up his line at 2:00 but being the professional he is he didn’t follow through
New Zealand. Home and away
Absolutely a great actor
To think sam played by Ryan Clarke is now a bondi lifeguard 😊
I know, and he's married with two boys who are becoming Bondi Lifegaurds too. He's on Instagram and is always posting.
I enjoyed watching this a lot. Took me right back there! Thank you for posting!

I wish that Sam asked Greg if he still misses Bobby. Sam could always stay with Greg in the school holidays.

@@sickpup820 that actually makes sense. I would like to know what happened to Sam's biological mother though, I'm surprised that she didn't return.
@@sickpup820 The connection that Greg still had to Bobby was Don being his former father in-law.
@@sickpup820 She did adopt him after she and Greg got married.
I know the actor Ryan Clarke who played Sam,he has grown up to be a dad of 2 boys and is a bondi beach lifegaurd.
I forgot how much of a snack Sam was
Greg never really wanted Sam
He wanted custardy of same at the start.
Why are there no young characters in "Home & Away" now?
I don’t no

Norman Coburn was good on Home And Away.
What year was this from please?
Why did Greg keep thanking Don by saying he's done a great job with Sam, when it was Pippa who raised him for years? Plus if Don loved Sam so much why didn't he take him in after Bobby died?
Star tracker He did take Sam in, but couldn't cope with raising a 9-year old, so he let him move in with the Rosses instead.
He did take him in didn’t he then he couldn’t cope , then Pippa had issues with him so they sent him to live with uncle Donald
No shit i was thinking the same thing bra, don could be a gronk sometimes.
Thanks for this. you saw my comment the other day didn't you?
Yes, I believe so.
thought so!! thanks!! :)
Greg looks a lot like Steve Irwin. Was Greg Sam's dad?Was Don the headmaster related to Sam and Greg?
