  • Part 1: What's In A Name? ME vs CFS? Defining ME/CFS & Diagnostic Criteria
It is estimated that over 1 million people in the United States are living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME/CFS). CFS is a debilitating disease characterized by extreme fatigue and a host of other symptoms such as sleep disorders, muscle pain, headaches, swollen lymph nodes and sore throat, to name a few. These symptoms can worsen after physical or mental activity and do not improve with rest. There is no known cause for CFS and despite advances in research a cure remains elusive with treatment primarily focused on providing relief.
People living with CFS, the majority of whom are women, face challenges in every aspect of life. Productivity suffers both at home and at work, relationships with family members and friends often deteriorate and the ability to actively engage in many of life's activities is compromised. Many people with CFS are looked upon as lazy or delusional by their peers, and tragically even health care providers have doubted CFS to be a legitimate illness. This stigma along with losing one's sense of accomplishment can cause depression and further one's sense of despair. The effects of CFS can devastate a person's quality of life for many, many years.
Dr. Gary Kaplan, a member of the Department of Health & Human Services' Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee (CFSAC), will share his view on the challenges of diagnosing CFS and what needs to be done differently to advance its treatment.
Dr. Kaplan will also comment on the recent findings of the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Pathways to Prevention conference "Advancing the Research on ME/CFS," which was held on Dec 10, 2014.

I got the flu and never got well again ! The pain is excruciating and left me suicidal until I finally found a doctor who believe me and treated the pain. That along with the myriad of other symptoms all listed in this video and then some have left me completely disabled and unable to even tolerate sitting up at times! I was bicycling 200 miles a week and working full-time as an RN and now I live from the bed to the recliner and have every single symptom described in this video !

The longer I am in healthcare, the more information there is about the impact of inflammation on the body and mind. The neurologic damage from HIV is from inflammation. Profound injury in Traumatic Brain Trauma is from inflammation. The damaging effects of neurotoxins is from inflammation. Inflammation is a natural process of injury and healing, but it has a very dark side if it runs amok. This is one practitioners explanation of that process. One of the concerns I have is that we are only now seeing the impact of organophosphates (like those in Roundup) and pesticides on humanity. What is even more concerning is that when these substances are combined with aluminum, the damage is significant. We need to realize that some compounds alone may be relatively safe, but when combined with other elements in the human body over a longer period of time, can be devastating. We need practitioners and clinicians who are always learning and questioning.

I NEED SOME HELP! I have ME and it has caused me to have paroxysmal dyskinesia, with dystonia. For 11 years, I was told tests were mostly normal, so I was judged with depression, bipolar type 2 (rediculous), conversion disorder, or "it's all in your head." One of my many problems is this movement disorder and seizures occasionally. I am on the cheapest form of dilantin that you can get. This is what Blue Advantage Ins. Pays for. I just want to know if ANYONE out there gets abn. movements that are being treated with this cheap orange pill, that supposedly has 100mg of phenytoin in it? It's bad enough to put up with the horrible lack of energy, without having to deal with being dystonic, being ok, being dystonic, being ok. And I know that some of that is the illness itself. It used to be the dyskinesia (jerking and convulsing) that I had problems with. Now it's being in a painful knot, dystonia. I live in Birmingham, AL, near a hospital with 3 abnormal specialists, but I'm stuck with one. They won't allow you to get a second opinion from one of their own. I need advice. I'm praying that God will help me find better help with this.

now the cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is found: radiation of microwaveoven.(magnetron)
To stop you have to eliminate the oven out of the house.
The plug out of electricity net because the oven has also radiation when it is not in use.And out of the house because the oven has a high voltage capacitor.
The distance between an oven and a person is very important. After a 2 weeks without microwaves health becomes better.

Where are you getting this crazy data from? What study supports the finding that you are pushing on every internet site?. You can't expect people to believe this unless you provide statistical results and study results that can be replicated. Everyone that has a microwave does not CFS so your microwave theory is already sounding ludicrous.
