    one of my friend called me yesterday his company laid off him recently. Before that company processed his L1 visa and he was all set to travel US work with client long term. Its all driven by business may be company lost client and project and eventually my friend also lost job.
    I have seen reasons laid off 1. Performance 2. politics 3. lack of projects 4. contract not renewed or client has no budget 5. Acquisition and restructuring

    Correct. You MUST keep upgrading/upskilling yourselves. You can’t lag behind in your area of expertise. Tech landscape keeps changing at a very fast pace. The risk of you getting impacted multi-folds of you lag behind.

      Have you seen any IT professional jobless for long time? Even after last recession I seen all got settled soon. There are lot of company there your experience always require but might be you don't get much hike. But atleast you will able to repay your loan and fulfill need.
      So don't worry bro we need to upskill and have some fund to use in wrost case between getting new job. And lastly god knwe how to feed his children.

    IT white collar job in India is actually BLUE Collar work 😮.... You are a resource....if requirement exist you will be picked up....wages negotiated....once work done ...tata good-bye 😮.
    And then you wait on road to be picked up by another employer....he will ask do know plumbing work ( Coding), work experience etc .. again wages negotiated. Get work. . 6 months again bench or out of company ( if on contract). this continues. ..a typical so called SOFTWARE Engineer job in India 😅😅..

    I am a developer having 7+ years of experience everything is going good and I am comfortable in coding, if it's that unstable career then should I switch to pgdm in finance or some other option as career because later on on life we have family responsibilities so it's considering that.
    Considering i am good at maths, logical and communication skills.

    Another factor causing job loss is leadership change. Best example is Twitter. When Elon Musk took over twitter 4000 employees lost their jobs.

      Hi Harish, personally I think they will figure out that the pincode is wrong and hopefully use common sense and go with the full address you have shared. To be safe, you may inform the HR point of contact about this so that they are aware as well.

    Hi
    I have a question I got a job offer from infosys but doj is on 28 Dec 2023 but my notice period ends on 7 Feb 2024 in interview process I clearly mentioned about my 90 days notice period I recently resigned but now the infy hr is telling to remind them on Dec 20 for revising doj and I afraid if they tell they can't revise doj at that time can I take back my resignation in my current employer but the policy states that they reject the resignation withdrawal request at company discretion what I need to do now

    Please Guide me i am stuck in very small startup. I joined Startup in August 2023 as fresher, there are only 8 people are working in this startup. When i joined the manager/founder force me to sign a letter that if i leave company before 1 year he won't give me Experience letter. Now he is giving me lot of work. Daily i work 10 11 hours for that company. Culture is very toxic. Due to recession i unable to find new job opportunities . Please guide me.
