I really liked that you included mistakes and explained them. It helps a lot. I constantly make mistakes and learning from them improves my process for the next project.
Thanks! I agree. It's a great way to learn!
Great idea and your video was well done. I may look at your design for my bandsaw. Thanks!
Thanks! Let me know how it comes out.
did you replace the tension spring on that restoration? i need one for my sprunger and can’t find one
I didn't, but you might try Grainger or McMaster Carr. You can usually find anything from one of their catalogs.
i’m also in the process to make a dust port too thsnks
Nice, let me know how it comes out!
If it was me, I would have used a router rounding bit on the inside of the port to round the edge. That would absolutely improve the airflow into the dust collecting port. . Go as large a circumference as you can. Maybe even 3/4", since your plywood is 3/4", not including the 1/4" piece attached.
Good idea, thanks!
@@TheTrullGallery you're welcome. let me know if you try it !
That appears to go right where the OEM port is on my old Delta standard 14" bandsaw. It is a 1-1/4" opening, but works OK. I've seen others recommend adding a 4" port to the R hand side of the lower wheel cover for added efficiency. Thanks!
My shop is never that clean, so I'm going to stick with this. But some day....
