The computer has to be unlocked by HP tuners to be able to write/change settings. The cable just unlocks your canbus “star network” to be able to communicate with the ECU. You can read it however it’s locked and will need unlocked to be able to write

U could have just used a adc 2011 cord and plugged straight into the star connector but yea good video.

Yeah you should be able to call them and you can buy a dongle that plugs into your obd2 port
Does it stay on there or when your done tuning do you take it off?
Just leave it in case you need to make changes.
