Dude you and your dad has some dope cars; and I’m so glad your bringing these kind of cars back to life. Continue to make awesome content like this and never stop the love for old cars
Despite the age, that's a nice looking car! I appreciate the passion you have for reviving these old classics. "It's bleeding transmission oil Dad!", "Oh SHIT" - I felt that lol.
Super Ben,,,as usual loved it and especially the vintage pics of me and your grand mom in our white 60 Fairlane Cant believe I am one year older than you are today in thoes pics 1962
This is a great depiction of the struggles of the regular backyard bolt busting bastards! No fancy lifts, no speciality tools, just using raw grit and persistence. Getting it done and keeping the cars alive. Thanks for sharing.
Good to see the younger guys interested in these cars I was going through a. Of depression when I didn't see enough of them around but you guys made my day my week my year!!
Amazing video man, you dont see many youtubers working on old cars with their dads. This is definitely one for the books, keep up the great content Ben.
Waow. Many years ago i saw a picture of this car in swedens Wheels Magazine . And that photo made me love the Starliner. Wonderful to see that it still exists.
Great Car and I love seeing you and your dad do this together. This past weekend I had my 7 year old help me change the steering wheel and throttle assembly in my 66 Nova
The '60 Starliner is an overlooked car to begin with and when people see it, except for us old guys probably think it's foreign. When you see it the thing looks futuristic. The custom touches like the dechroming, reworked fins and rocker panels just made it look longer , lower and wider. The ultimate sled to me. Great job guys and keep it away from the crusher.
The Starliner is amazing, really like it. Noticed it on a video you did last year and wondered when we were gonna get a closer look. Groovy music and a cool looking header tank. I even laughed out loud when your Dad slipped with that wrench.
Well, this was just charming as heck! I had wondered what became of this car, I'm old so remember its debut way back when. Always admired it. Mr. F made some really canny choices on it- cripes, he was just a kid back then. Good work, you guys, made my day.
Great video, 1959/60 cars were such amazing looking things.Your so lucky to have a common hobby with your Dad. Your other video with the channelled 32 coupe is one of my favourites I,ve wacthed it many times ,thanks
Love, love, love 60 Starliners. I can recommend using airbags! Just bagged my 59 El Camino here in Australia. Makes it so much easier to drive. I don't get caught on anything and I can actually get full lock on my steering.
As always - live your content Ben. Especially love seeing you out there with your dad. I have a 3yo son, and can’t wait to do the same with him. Keep dailying the classics! My daily is a ‘74 HQ Holden (GM Australia).
@ 11:42 I love that steering wheel. I looked at some ads for Starliners currently for sale, but none (that I saw at least) had the same steering wheel.
WHY DONT YOU HAVE MORE SUBS, I've seen people with over 800k have half as good camera work and only a quarter of the good content you have, every video you have is a banger man, I seriously cannot wait to see what the future brings for you
I had a ‘61 Buick as a hot rod in the late ‘90s. That Starliner reminds me of that big cruiser! I had mine in blue suede paint. I named it Blue Lemonade.
Great video ben, we need to see more of Kahan Kustoms on here! i still remember when we pulled in to the driveway after our trip and it was just pissing coolant out lol
i remember your dad writing the "so cal diares" in the uk custom car magazine back in the 90,s,i was living in new zealand at that time ,it was a great read
Dude I’m located here in highland park Los Angeles, my dad has a 1960 starliner that we’re trying to put back on the road!! So cool seeing your dads because my dads has the same exact stance it’s just a baby blue color with black steel wheels
Usually I drill a 1/8 or so hole in the thermostat to make it easier to bleed the cooling system when done (typically by jacking up the front end of the car and letting it sit, so that air rises to the highest point like bubbles in a glass of soda pop--typically the radiator cap but in this case, the expansion tank). If you don't want to bend the fins in the radiator while installing, cut the box it came in and tape that to the part of the radiator most likely to get scratched, install and then remove the cardboard. For $20 you can pick up a funnel kit that has radiator cap adaptors, so you put it on, fill the funnel halfway, it blocks the usual overflow tank and you run the engine--it burps out the last of the air, which can cause hot running temps on the highway.
i have a four door and iam trying to get it up and running again but right now it's in my garage sitting on flats and man does that car look soooo good laying on the ground like that. when I get it going iam no dought going to put it to the ground
Ford did not put PCV valves on there engines until 1966. Somebody has added one on to that Starliner. Originally a tube went from the back of the valve cover on the passenger side down past the transmission where the crankcase fumes exited into the air. I thought about converting mine on my 65 Galaxie over to the closed system, but so far it is still original. Those Starliners were beautiful cars.
I've got a 60 fairlane 2 door post . Wow I can't believe the trim delete down the sides. Smoothed it all out... I love the stainless but... that's kick ass. People have no idea how long that would take and the 57 rockers mirroring the top is a much better look .. I wish I never saw these mods.. because I might have to go this route
Sounds like you need to do a Valve adjustment , if you have solid lifters , it's .025 Hot .028 cold for the lifters on most solid lifter Ford engines. you can tighten them up a bit and still be safe @ .019 Warm & .021 Cold should be OK with a little less valve train noise. I like the engine warmed up to about 140/150 degrees, I do a 1st and 2nd adjustment, set the valve covers on start it Then cut it off quickly recheck the Lash a 3rd time. Great Car!! agree to disagree
I remember this car, hell, I remember all of the Choppers cars! 😅 All their customs are beautiful, oozing class, but I always had a soft spot for this one, contrary to other club cars which are pretty radical, this one has very subtle touches which go unnoticed to the untrained eye, but like the detrimmed sides, welding and smoothing that peak is nothing short of a torture😅 and the result is spectacular. Really hope to see more of this and the rest of your dad's collection, and also, do you plan on showing other Chopper's cars? I'd love to see Verne's 40 and Devon's 41 (that his name?) and of course Weesner's 'box in a video, they come from pre YT era so we never had the pleasure of seeing them rolling, I mean, for us living far from Cali. And thanx for the great work dude!!

Your dad better keep that thing locked up! I want it! I remember when Cole had it back on the hamb way back in the day!
Factory steering wheel?
Also you’re a very lucky kid to have such a cool dad, cherish it!
Thanks! And the steering wheel is originally from a boat
@@aaronkahan6188 I thought it's from the 1960 chrysler imperial?
kalesz01 yeah those are cool wheels too! The cool thing about the boat wheel is it’s aluminum so it’s polished.
Aaron Kahan hey how many YT accounts do you have? The picture was different on the 32 video lol. You’re a cool dude btw
love seeing your paps on the channel bro!
Thanks bro🏁

Glad to see Ben working hard, it's tough standing there watching his DAD do all the work and telling him what he did wrong!! Nice job!
Amazing video man, you dont see many youtubers working on old cars with their dads. This is definitely one for the books, keep up the great content Ben.
dude that radiator black looks soo good much better than just chuckin in an Ali job sweet ride your dads getting the bug again you can see it
I just love this car. My favorite one from all of your dads cars.
“Alright I’m driving the big beast!” *gets banned from driving it one minute later
Dad has a Starliner and a Ford Hot Rod, what a legend!
That's so cool, I wish I had more days like that with my Dad, time goes fast, enjoy those good times!
Waow. Many years ago i saw a picture of this car in swedens Wheels Magazine . And that photo made me love the Starliner. Wonderful to see that it still exists.

Bro you need to get on your Dad's level! The stance of the Starliner is absolute mint.
Awesome, i remember reading about this in Custom Car magazine a long time ago, good to see it on the road still!
The Starliner is amazing, really like it. Noticed it on a video you did last year and wondered when we were gonna get a closer look. Groovy music and a cool looking header tank. I even laughed out loud when your Dad slipped with that wrench.
Have always wanted a 1960 Starliner! That one looks so sick!
Well, this was just charming as heck! I had wondered what became of this car, I'm old so remember its debut way back when. Always admired it. Mr. F made some really canny choices on it- cripes, he was just a kid back then. Good work, you guys, made my day.
Awesome to see it up and going. Nothing like a team effort, major bonding time. Let's get more classics on the road again!
Love this starliner always thought it would be cool to customize one like this
I never understood how these cars aren't way more popular
Not a ford fan, but that car and you guys are killing it. Quickly becoming my favourite UA-cam channel 🔥
Good music.
Super rad video your dad is a cool guy keep up the great work
So much fun to see you and your dad having fun filming your videos. Keep up the great work.

It’s out of a boat haha!
@@FourSpeedFilms Haha...no wonder I couldn't find another like it! Must've been an old boat though 😉 I think it fits that styling perfectly.
Beautiful car... and beautifully edited video! Your lucky that you n your dad share that passion 👍
The old man is savage under the hood. Love the Starliner. Cheers!

@@FourSpeedFilms that could be fun friday night cruise!
Man do you look like your Grandfather, what a handsome Kat!
Nice looking ride and your OG dad seems cool to be around
Keep it up bro
I have always taped cardboard to the fin side of the rad in order to keep from messing up the fins it seems to help when dropping them in.
Smart!
i remember your dad writing the "so cal diares" in the uk custom car magazine back in the 90,s,i was living in new zealand at that time ,it was a great read
Gotta dig the Rockabilly/Pyschobilly action in the background mixed with some surf rock
Dude I’m located here in highland park Los Angeles, my dad has a 1960 starliner that we’re trying to put back on the road!! So cool seeing your dads because my dads has the same exact stance it’s just a baby blue color with black steel wheels
That shift knob is on another level.
Your very fortunate to have a dad that cool 👍
I know👌 New starliner video will be out tomorrow 12pm pst
Bruh you talk EXACTLY like your dad lol sound tone the pauses crazy
The champion products are killer. Engine hasn’t overheated once.
Y'all have some very nice cars, and the starliner is my favorite.
Great video!!!! Makes me miss back when I was a kid and my dad was into cars. Now he has no interest and neither do my kids so I’m a one man show 😂
First worked on one of tho0se in 1969, sanding it for a repaint. Loved them ever since but never seen any others down here for sale since.
always look forward to your uploads!!

Wow Ben I love the starliners. 1960 classic ford. thanks for the great video man.
I have champion radiators in all of my hot rods, they are bitchin !!
so did they take the old rad back after you painted it?
Cool video bro. It’s cool you and your dad have cars to make you guys bond
I've always loved that car. Glad to see it back on the road! Wasn't it in the opening sequence of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno?
Yeah I guess my dad was just driving to work and they just happened to film it😂
i have a four door and iam trying to get it up and running again but right now it's in my garage sitting on flats and man does that car look soooo good laying on the ground like that. when I get it going iam no dought going to put it to the ground
luv starliners...either year, but '60 is the fav. very nice custom mods...fit the car great. looks to be a 352...was it having a lifter problem?
Steve S I’d say rocker arm or wrist pin

That thing is a sailboat, I love those huge 60s and 70s land yachts

Never seen one of these, really love the look. So rare.
I've loved this car since it showed up to Paso the first time. Always wonder what happened to it, stoked to see you guys getting back on the road.
Awesome video guys..so much nostalgia.
HELL YEAH BEN!! Another one running!! whats next??
GOOD JOB YOUNG MAN
That Starliner is beautiful !
Have mercy, it's Billy G!
Kool 60 ! Love those cars , but would give my eyetooth for that 32 5window
Very cool ride...and had Cole's magic touch. Does that oil have zinc, for flat tappet cam engines??
Woops you killed the grass!
Quality content as usual. Great looking car.
My brother's first car was a Red Starliner back in '69.
Love the Land Yacht man, great style, leave the beast as is (I mean don't cut it up). I like the old style hot rod also, great collection!
Thanks for watching
Great partnership going on and I am diggin slam of that thing.
Most enjoyable thank you gentlemen!
The only thing I would do to it would be to paint the wheels a copper color. But that's just a personal preference. Awesome ride!!
Such a killer ride!

Might be my favorite video yet! Keep up the great work on these killer videos! 😎
I love the quality of your videos!
Dude! I recognize your dad from the Back from the Dead DVD! I had no idea I knew who your dad was!
KOOL RIDE fellas ...old steel Lives on ! 👊🏼✌️
Awesome car man, as usual in your videos. I dig the looks of the original air filter housing but the valve covers need some new painting definitely ✌🏼
I love the 60!
