Can you aggregate a data source to a higher level of granularity to match the second data set within tableau? So that we can establish a 1 to 1 relationship for data blending?

07:32: Why don't you see sales from Washington state on the graph? The secondary database pulls sales for only two states while it has three states in it. How do you fix this?

In sheet 1 once you are displaying data from secondary source then it includes all states as well as its sales ..then why you are displaying sales from primary source again, it means the same?

excellent tutorial - thank you. concerning @7:31, I noticed we no longer see Washington sales data, does this mean, that when blending, the primary data source excludes rows where secondary source’s key values aren’t present in the primary’s table?
yeah its basically left join where every rows in the primary data source and the common rows(data) in the secondary data source gets displayed

I have one query please tell how you added two file in data blending

Here is the step how to add two files in data blending.
Step-1 : Add the excel file (eg: superatore) and drag the ORDER sheet to the data field
Step-2 : Go to the Sheet 1 --> From Toolbar select Data--> New data source --> add new excel file
Step-3 : Select the required sheet from excel file and drag it to the data field
Step-4: Again to the sheet 1 in tableau ( as mentioned in step-2) --> now you will find 2 data fields

In sheet 1 we compared the coffee sales and office sales for various states but Washington data was not coming for office - only texas and Ohio got mapped ... How we will get all the states from both data source in the sales comparison ?

Likewise when he selected another data, it shows all the states in there with the sum of (taxes & ohio).
Hi. Great tutorials. I have a doubt here When you compared Coffee sales and Office Sales I found Washington is missing only Ohio and Texas are showing in Office sales. But, in Excel sheet Office sales in State column Washington is there. How to bring that also into graph. Please explain me. Once again thanks for your great way of explanation

There are two columns that has north, east, west, etc in the first sheet. Do not assume until you have tested the sheets.

Just go to sheet1, press ctrl+D , and add data source from there. if you add data source here then you will get the option to edit Relationships
