    Also if you are in good standing with Freedom you may recieve requests to protect the barrier from zombified and get 25000 rub for the task + lots of loot to sell

      That's also in Anomaly. He also gives you ammo for whatever weapons you have equipped in slots 2 and 3. You can use that to get expensive ammo like 12.7x55mm, .338 Lapua, "Volt Driver" ammo (pardon the M.E.T.R.O. reference), rockets, whatever. I keep rifles in 12.7x55 and .338 in the blue footlocker next to the wrecked tank with the busted track (middle of Freedom HQ) just for that purpose. I reserve all that ammo for the late game. Prior to the late game, 7.62x39 is the best jack-of-all-trades rifle caliber for Zone use. Never mind the late game, that just seems to be a general thing.

    • @vonstickers
      @vonstickers  Рік тому +1

      I've tried so many weapons, seems crazy that I've done almost nothing with 7.62 x 39 yet....maybe that'll be my next goal then!

    • @judsongaiden9878
      @judsongaiden9878 Рік тому +3

      @@vonstickers Its effective range might not be as good as 5.45 or 5.56, but it's plenty good for Zone use, plus it hits harder than 5.45 or 5.56, plus it's cheaper and lighter than 7.62x51. You get a pretty good selection of 7.62x39 rifles too. AK-47, AKS-47, AKM, AKMS, AK-103, AK-104, and AEK-973. The AKM is the most common. The AEK-973 is the rarest (only available from Petrenko in Anomaly as far as I know). The AK-103 has a few different variants. All of them accept a GP-25 except for the AK-104. The AEK-973 accepts a GP-25 without the need for an upgrade. All of them have dovetail mounts for Eastern optics except for the ye olde pre-1959 AKs. All of them accept sound suppressors.
      As for me, personally, a grenade launcher is essential equipment. It really makes you a contender against big game like chimeras and pseudogiants, but also against "Sith lord" mutants with psionic powers. Hand grenades aren't great against pseudgiants or burers because pseudostomps can send them off in random directions and burers can use telekinesis to send them right back at you.

    • @vonstickers
      @vonstickers  Рік тому

      +1 for grenade launchers against pseudogiants, does the job just nicely ;)

    I just discovered that in PDA you have one part called TASKBOARD. Do not bother to run around the base, just open pda, hit refresh and pick what you want, plus it shows you where it is and if you see lets say 1xburer hand you just go to your inventory if you have it and then go back to PDA and the task is still there. I am considering a fresh start after i found out about this and messing up my mutant shredder ak74u into 5.56.

    You can take not only mutants nest clearing missions, but assassination missions too. Both missions will be finished usually after emission. Sometimes there is a chance that you'll simply stumble on your target which you'll need to kill anyway depending on faction you're playing.

    An addendo0m to what TheAntsh said about Lukash's Barrier alert SOS calls (sometimes zombified stalkers, sometimes Monolith jihadists): On top of the five figures of "dosh" (a term I learned from Killing Floor 1), he also gives you ammo for the weapons you have equipped in slots 2 and 3. You can use that to your advantage to stock up on expensive ammo like 12.7x55mm, .338 Lapua, rockets (which are labeled as OG-7V, function like HE-frag [which matches the label info], but look more like 93m HEAT warheads, either PG-7V or PG-7VL), "Volt Driver" ammo (by that, I mean gauss gun), or whatever else. I keep rifles in 12.7x55mm and .338 Lapua in the blue footlocker next to the wrecked tank with the busted track in the middle of Freedom HQ for exactly that purpose of demented do0m.

    More good ways to make money, should work in GAMMA and EFP (I mainly play EFP):
    - Some pistols may have a scope or laser device that CANNOT be removed with the "Remove Scope" option. But, disassemble it and you will get a Weapon Conversion Kit, and some of those sell for over $10K each
    - Some weapons have upgrades installed, and there may be a small marking on the weapon icon to show it (it does in EFP, not sure about GAMMA). If you look at the "Details" of the weapon, you can see what upgrades are installed, and what piece of repair gear is required to extract them. Upgrade kits sell for at least $3K each.
    - Jupiter is another good location to build a base. There are two nearby bases (Trainyard and Scientist Bunker), with a Freedom commander and several vendors from Loner and Ecologist factions, as well as a Hunter in the basement of the Trainyard. That guy gives out some pretty amazing missions, and I've been paid up to $40K for a single mutant hunting mission. There are huge amounts of mutants there, as well as Monolith. Sometimes there are massive battles right outside the Trainyard, and you can go out and scavenge stupid amounts of gear after the shooting stops.

    • @vonstickers
      @vonstickers  Рік тому +1

      Interesting, I had't thought about doing a full disassemble on those weapons with the "built-in" upgrades, I'll have to try that out and see if it's the same in Gamma!
      Jupiter is a great spot, although the trainyard is a bit risky as the mutants often just wander into the building!

    Butcher offers best price for mutant parts and food, ecologists offers best price for artifacts and upgrades. Duty, military and mercs have more cheaper ammo prices, and a technician in Skadovsk Spleen, have best price for installing upgrades, medics in each faction have best prices for meds, not sure which one is the best tho. SOME GUNS CAN BE SOLD - short pump shotgun, 4kg G36(there are more of them)and FNP90 can be sold to mechanic - just put in it ANY LOWEST durability parts and fix just the base condition of the game and you can sell it g36 can go like 20k
    with the components, the ones NOT for guns, you stash them in the workbench and from it goes in to your workbench immediately to the recipe - like all the sewing stuff for armor repair kit....
    Always buy threads to fix the textiles, armor repair kit for the armor parts, don't bother with ramrod, file is good, 3piece sharpening kit is essential to fix the multitool as it takes huge chunk of its durability to fix 1 trigger.
    Keep any part under 60% and sell it to mechanic so even the gun that is 1% can get you some cash.
    even if you don't have the toolkit for making your ammo always disassemble the low quality for better quality - 9*18ap to 9*19 or just for the powder and ALLWAYS keep the powder charge - blue tin can in your inventory in miscellaneous - give you heaps of powder

    Artifact hunting in GAMMA suck balls, the pay is so low early on that you can't even cover the meds cost, specially with the stupid amounts of radiation the recent patch brings. My personal choice is raiding big bases like military and merc bases if you are loner, freedom and bandit if you are duty an so on, and taking all small quests from random guys. Then sell all the attachment and not usefull weapons parts to get a big bonus.
