Rabbi has been unwell this week. Our hosts did manage to record this podcast at the very beginning of the week, but due to other extenuating circumstances, its publication was delayed. On account of the rabbi's not feeling well he was not able to record his weekly Torah portion video this week, and so we are publishing our podcast today also in place of the Parashat KI Teitzei video. Shabbat Shalom!
Blessed is H-Sh-M and Blessed Is His Name Who brings Refuah Neshama to your physical body and elevation of MaHaSha MaHaSha MaHaSha MaHaSha MaHaSha MaHaSha MaHaSha MaHaSha and Shalom Blessings Surrounding you and flowing through you My Dear Brother and Rabbi Shabbos Shalom Blessings over you and The Holy Family and Team and Jim Long and his Holy Family Vameru !!!!!
I unknowingly for 3 1/2 years had an overactive parathyroid gland which pulled the calcium from my teeth, sending it to my kidneys as stones until it was dx’ d (diagnosed) and surgically removed BH💝so I totally get what that gentleman experienced
@35:34 Also... Cain offered a sheep (wool) Hevel offered flax ( linen) Because of the result of Cain killing Hevel we don't mix linen & wool. @38:47 Those poopy shovels that the soldiers are required to use reminds them that even though they are engaged in battles of bloodshed, they need to remember they are humans and not animals. The use of the shovel is the reminder.
You have it backwards. See B'reishith 4:2-4, Hevel raised sheep and brought a "firstling from his flock". The text does not mention what Cain offered but according to Pirkei De-Rabbi Eliezer, Cain offered flax seed which is used to make linen.
So after a month, an Israelite can pretty much forced marry a captive of war? If Muslims do the same it’s not morally right, but if the Israelites do it it is?
Were you even listening? No, they don't do the same thing...they rape and murder women as an act of conquest for their god. Read some of the interviews from the survivors and eye witnesses of the October 7 massacre against Jews. They also burned entire families alive. Torah is here teaching a deep idea of seeing a deeper, soul level perception of a person.
@@jerusalemlights-rabbirichman I did not say anything about October 7th, I’m talking about what the Torah says. I’m talking about marriage, forced marriage. What makes one think that after a month a woman will be willing to marry and love the one who killed her husband and all male relatives(adults).?
It must always be understood that these criticisms stem from an irrational hatred against Jews since the beginning of the people. Do you have outrage for the violence of Syrians against their fellow Muslims? Was there outrage when Hamas slaughtered the PLO to gain power. Is there outrage in China for treatment of Muslims rising to violence against China? It must always be understood that this stems from pure hatred. Irrational hatred. There are 8.2 billion people in the world. There are about 15.7 million Jews left in the World. Jews are 0.0019% of the world population. So much focus, anger, hatred towards such a tiny portion of the world’s population. That is significant. Always remember this stems from irrational hatred against a people who make up such a tiny portion. Everyone must understand this as they focus so much energy on a small nation.
Every rule and law must be understood in the context of the time period. Slavery was accepted practice. It still exists today. This Torah sought to bring rules to war and capturing another people during the war. What is permissible and not permitted. So any criticism must be taken into account for the time period of the people.

In battle you have to reduce yourself to the beast within. The Godly side would love and not kill.

Tie rabbi interrupts the man and goes on tangent. Next video
