Morning. love the variety of content...and I cannot believe how you have transformed the land for the better...and teach everyone along the way. Great job...thanks for taking us along
thanks Dave....man...here lately it's been odd. Folks are asking for more farm/teaching content...but when I post something that folks can learn from ...they don't watch, it's drama stuff that they watch....kinda odd brother
It may be that YT isnt popping the vids into their feed. I had to go looking for your vid.
love it thanks and learn a bit more everyday. Thanks Josh
Always a good morning with Stoney Ridge Farm!

To answer your question, then answer is 'yes'. Yes, my shop is a mess. I will eventually get it to where it will look a lot nicer than it does now.

You need to get a couple of live stock guard dogs to protect the chickens and buddy will have some friends 🧡the great Pyrenees is good choice they are a outdoor dog 🐕 and they can handle it 👍

Good stuff 🇺🇸
There was a powder (Missing Link), that I mixed into the kibble that my lab ate that also helped with hip dysplasia, as well as joint max, chewables.
Hi my friend . watch the video I really like it. Nice to know your channel.
OH yes. I want to make room in my garage (summer project) for the Silverado, b/c it just sits outside. Ozzy Osborne I've been a bad, bad Boy! Wooo!!!!!!!!!
Love the farming content, mum doesn’t care much about the power tool episodes haha.
Good morning Josh. I have some friends that do dog rescue and fostering. They have an older St Bernard that was having issues and a regular routine of CBD oil has fixed him right up.

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Thanks man doing my best to do so its ruff but i believe i will make it just got a long ways to go now i will be watching for live stuff from you love to watch the cows and how they fuss to move everytime
Good one ! glad to see the farm greening up bummer about the bees and chickens have a good one won’t be long the grind of summer and chiggers will be here soon enough 😂
Another great video Josh. This is what I call a no hitter, He pitches the truth from his experiences and delivers' a strike out
I'm not sure Josh but I believe brussel sprouts are perennial type is I do think they bolt-aka- go to seed then start in check it out you may need to cut off seed heads of that whole procedure I'm not sure but I'm certain it's well recorded in vegetable growing information. Maybe give Buddy babby aspirin no other pain killers because it can be harmful to dogs though. Love your Vids Josh as you know by now I really appreciate you you are in my prayers.
Blessings David
Let's get some pigs soon. I don't need a farm cuz I watch this and it's like having my own little farm to some extent
Thanks Josh.
Why don't you include sheep in your operation?
gotta get our grasses right....patures are still lacking the best forage
My vet says for hip dysplasia, they operate on the ball of the rear legs ,only one if needed
It really helps the dog because they carry 85% of there weight forward,by removing the ball it gets rid of the pain.
Doesn't hurt the dogs ability to function ,they run and jump like a pup.contact your vet and ask
interesting....not sure he's ready for surgery on the hip ball/head yet. He's getting a little better every day now thank goodness
Hey Josh, speaking of chickens and foxes. Are you going to have a fox hunt when you get the new chickens to possibly avoid more problems?
I watch Hoof GP as often as I watch your channel. Even though all of your cows are constantly on soft grass fields, Im wondering if you ever check the condition of the feet of your cows, or, if it is even necessary?
most of the hoof issues you're probably seeing are from animals that aren't rotated on pasture like this....confined animals or animals around a lot of nails and hardware or even barns tend to develop more foot issues. We had one cow that had a chronic foot issue, she was just too darn heavy and kept having issues...she went to freezer camp. The only fence on the farm with any nails is the wooden fence and I work hard to keep the cattle away from anything that might harm their feet
Donnie is a 1K+ lb. Bull, Dern Skippy is he dangerous... He could be more deadly than a an AR in the right environment.
I'm just curious as to why you need 45 days between grazes? It seems like the grass would recover from a graze much quicker than that? Doesn't it all go to seed in that much time and then not produce as much as just being nipped off more often? It seems like it would be harder on the grass to me?
we can't graze it to the ground...we want thick bedding and we need adequate rest....there's no way to keep the entire farm from going to seed, but we can't overgraze our pastures either brotha..it's such a fine balance
Josh, what if you dumped a pile of firewood in that empty spot in raised garden to keep the deer out?
Oh...I'll just build the last plant bed box
How will you keep the fox's out of your new chickens 🐔
fencing! I'm gonna put up electric netting and hopefully this will stop the foxes this time!
Maybe go into deer raising.Big bucks in big bucks. Is there any deer farms in NC?
there are hunting farms near me....but I honestly enjoy my privacy and would rather lose money than have a bunch of folks running around on the land shooting
At about 4:50 you show a solar fence charger that appears to be facing away from the sun. Or am I mistaken?
faces south...southwest this time of year...it's early morning so it won't be getting direct sunlight until about 11am...good catch!
all my hives dead this winter.
mine too!
HI there, I would like to suggest a supplement for you that has helped so many people that I have made recommendations to. Finish line fluid action was a suggestion from the company rep at a horse show in CA who sent me a sample quart that changed my 7 year old German shepherds life until put down at 14.
You ain't kidding about the tractor supply posts my wife tapped an old cow in the butt and it broke in half.brand new.thank God I only bought 2 to try out.

Dont turn your back on that BULL.
Where is Danielle?
Danielle...aka Ms. Stoney Ridge and I have been divorced since 2021. We tried to re-kindle our relationship 15 times now....she moved out Jan 1 2024 never to return. It's freakn sad, ridiculous and the most horrible thing I've ever been through. To be honest, something changed in her....I'm not sure why but I literally gave her 15 chances to get it together and she kept on ruining us. I wish her all the best, but I'm done with this mess. It was and has affected my health, aging and basically flipped my life upside down financially 15 times....senseless and silly to waste 14 years of my life to have it ruined by someone else
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I understand completely! I have been divorced twice. Won’t be doing that again. I’d rather be single.
This is another reason I said that you should have Buddy riding with you, instead of chasing you all over the farm. It's just too hard on them to run that far all the time. They are the best friends we have, other than Jesus, so you need to love them and take good care of them.
Kelly, buddy isn't a couch dog, he's almost 9 years old and he loves running with me around the farm. My dog is NOT my best friend...PEOPLE are my best friends and my dog is my dog.
I love him very much but he's not my best friend. Buddy is getting older, and he's going to become less active. A German shepherd can jump over a car...so running around the farm or following me on the tractor isn't going to hurt him. Buddy lives a great life, but German Sheps have a propensity for hip issues...I do ride him around and we do go swim in the ponds almost daily....I give him his best life, but his hip issues aren't from getting exercise and he's not a suburban couch dog.
While I can appreciate your position, you need to understand that a dog like this runs...he loves to run and he's just getting older. That's life my friend...I appreciate your thoughts, but we're slowing down as we get older...that's all there is to it my friend
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I understand your point and I agree we ARE all getting older, but the one video you made, you were driving ALL OVER the farm, and poor Buddy was running his legs off to follow you, and I didn't say anything, but thought, that poor dog is running his legs off. And I felt bad for him, because you COULD have let him ride with you for some of that. I am much older than you, and maybe that means nothing, but you will find in this often cruel life, that people will FAIL US. They lie, cheat, steal, and more. If you are blessed to have loyal, loving family, then you are more blessed than you know. But a dog LOVES YOU, and are truly your BEST FRIEND, even if YOU haven't figured that out yet. They are loyal, and there for us when we need them. They will often fight to the death to save you from an enemy or predator. We don't always think about things. We get busy or sidetracked, and just don't realize how our dogs are right there for us, all the time. And we often take them for granted. And people could learn a great deal about being a better person if they realized how much that dog could teach them. God, our Creator, LOVES us, and He gave us all animals to help us. I think dogs are one of the greatest blessings He ever gave us, other than His Son, Jesus, who is the greatest and only Savior of all ages...My dogs, when they were alive, were a reflection of how much God loves us. All my life, my dogs were there, helping me. Even as a kid, when I cried, my dog cried with me. Real tears. It was like God had chosen that dog specially for me. I have had other dogs like that, too. Special blessings from God.. Hug Buddy for me. Take care.
BUDDY REALLY i know u have 150 acres and your cows are the main Nesesity but if u can not handle the chickens do not do them i got so much less acrage than u and so many more chickens its called clip wings um maybe get them in at night and um well just get over yourself brother still love u hope it did not hurt to much leghorns or well Itallians original named they nest in trees so oooo if u had them why dont u check in the trees u have so many some could have gone up there and if u been farming so long u should have known about this expert just saying still love ya Nate is my name brother or hutch :)

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Grow from this Might help
Are you talking to the EX lately? just wondering, thanks for the video.
no bro...not this time. Over, done....can't take it anymore. I'm dating a very nice woman that I really like alot
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer thanks for the reply, wish the best for you.
You always say "we" who is the we.
We.....a tough habit to break after living with someone for nearly 12 years and she's now gone. Maybe at some point there will be another "we"...but for now it's just me and the critters on the farm
He's got a mouse in his pocket... And we are always with him 🇺🇸🫡🇺🇸
Cuz this is the channels farm. Us.
It’s about time for Miss SR to move back in.
"We" is us too! We may not be carrying things or feeding cows but he invited "us" along so we can all be the "we" together!! you...me....@stoneyridgefarmer... thats we.
Any bull, no matter the breed, even those considered to be “gentle” is not to be trusted. My Dad had several encounters with Guernsey bulls. However, his distrust placed him just a step ahead of them!!
