big fox fan here, and true! I love how he can do such a big variety of genres and make it sound like his style! His development and everything in general is such a bliss to look at, i recommend going a bit through his discography (his old artist name is Stan SB) and scrolling a bit through it and look at his development, especially if you'd like to try making music as well it's really really inspiring! He also said multiple times before that all the lyrics he writes most of the time have like a very personal meaning to him, but doesnt want to tell people what exactly they mean, since alot of people found their own meaning in them, which is super nice :') and regarding his lyrics in general, in his older stuff he would often sing about really depressing things only, which can be nice as well, but in his newer stuff it has moreso the feeling of like "well things can suck, but it's still going to be fine in the end" with more like positive tones to them, which always manage to comfort me (i recommend checking out his song lava, beautiful stuff). but yea if you liked just dont mind i recommend checking out more c:
@@BlubbZerMan my first song by Fox I heard was Miss You, along with all of the remixes of it. I didn’t really look too much into him at the time, and didn’t appreciate the song that much when it came out (I was just getting into EDM and dubstep at the time), but I’ve been just hearing his music that has been coming out since (like New Amsterdam recently). Not long ago I looked around at his older music, and I found a huge likening with his songs labeled under Stan SB. The whole Anyone Out There album is probably one of my favorite albums of all time. The different sounds, all tracing back to him, are just soooo good, and surprised me on his production back in the day. My favorite is probably Anyone out there, those vocals just get me. A really big message and a story in there. That interlude with the bridge (not sure what it’s exactly called) between the third and fourth verse is perfect. Every new song I hear of his is instantly added to my playlist (except a few, but that’s usual for me). Anyways, amazing producer and has an amazing voice as well as story in his lyrics!!!

It was so different from the stream version too (which was made without Graphyt and Ecraze). I feel like they tried to give them a bit more exposure with that new version. Im so mad tho that the fox stevenson part was cut so short.
@@contrametheus Yeah same they cut the best ideas from the original stream version of the song. One of them being Fox’s creative and lively drops (which was cut short at the end of the first drop in How We Roll) and Oliverse/Barely Alive’s energetic intro with the pianos.

In How We Roll, Virus Syndicate rapped about the main label eps, but they had the chance to make a large fakeout combing each drop of a song from each ep for a few seconds. Did you understand what I mean? I mean like when it builds up, the fakeouts won't be the signature sounds from each Disciple producer, instead, when it finishes building, there will be Virus Syndicate shouting the names of each ep like World Domination! And then Ray Volpe - Battle Of the Bros will drop for about 10 or 12 seconds, then Virus will shout "Our Flame" and then Chime - Unicorn blood will drop for some seconds or so, the same will be for the other eps. So I thought Disciple had sooo much more to add in their mega-collab. This is my idea because in We Don't Play, Virus called out each producer's name and then each of them drops their signature sounds. And because they rapped about ep names instead, I thought it would or could be more fitting.
Imo one of the best alliances so far, but its not amazing, especially the megacollab, which is one of the worst songs on the comp. Dream Logic and Berserker are madd tunes tho, some of the best this year! I still prefer Alliance 4, which was pretty much great all the way through

I think it's really important to keep your expectations in check for these huge compilations. These huge collaboration projects draw so much hype every year that it's almost impossible to live up to the expectations. Just like the previous Disciple compilations, there are some exceptional and inventive tunes, and others that are not bad, but don't deliver on the hype. I did enjoy how a few producers showcased some different (than usual) styles. The Mega-Collab was a great celebratory tune, with Virus Syndicate delivering some of his best bars again. I would have enjoyed the track more if I hadn't watched the production livestreams. I did feel that Mega-Collab 3 was the least representative of the variety of sounds on Disciple.
If you watched the lyric video, you can see that instead of calling the producers names in the rap, Virus called out the names of the Disciple main label eps in his rap. It's sick as well. But tbh ,not as mind-blowing as We Don't Play.
LIVE REVIEWWWWWW LETS GOOOOO, I can't believe it. Nawty live reviewing *A DAMN COMPILATION????* Dream Logic by VR had me eargasming the entirety of the track.
Seeing the underwhelming amount of content that's been coming out of Disciple lately, I didn't have much hopes for this one to do anything for me. Having heard it all the way through though, I can now say, that it for sure didn't. Out of all 20 tracks, there are 6 that I am currently feeling BIG time: Berserker, Who Dem, Paul McRiddim, Not Alone, Make It Bump, and Don't Wake Me Up. There are two others that I'll be going back to, and those are Karate, and Just Don't Mind. And mayyybe, maybe, 10 Years Too Late... Overall, not the best Alliance comp, in my opinion, but it had its moments. Out to Oli, SampliFiyah, Myro, INFEKT, MVRDA, Chibs, Fox and Phasey!
This review has helped me appreciate the songs a lot more as before I didn't really give it a chance. But who else thought MVRDA's track was fantastic?? Definitely my fav for sure.
I think the track you were thinking of during Fox Stevenson was Excision- Final Boss, but then Zomboy had something almost exactly like that the same year
THANK U! THANK U! THANK U! THANK! U! FOR NOT JUST MAKING A REVIEW,BUT A LIVE REVIEW FOR THE EP I ALWAYS WANTED TO HAVE THE REACTION FROM! Even when you were positive with Covid, you still keep rolling with these reviews. I hope you get better soon! I hope you recover, Coner!
See now this was entertaining to watch, dream logic didn't quite get to me as much as previous VR tracks. I liked the idea but I've heard better, Know you Better and Just Don't Mind were amazing, sorta agree with you on the drops with How We Roll, first one was better by a long shot. Oliverse was dope but same with VR, I've heard better.
@@Zynet_Eseled first part of the first drop is good, but the first drop drones on for too long. It sounds like a bunch of things in the ID folder tossed together. Nothing insane on the ideas front but not objectively bad.
I think I liked How we roll a little bit more because I listened to it at first while watching the lyric video and it got me some feels with visual explanation to some references to what virus syndicate is saying. Not to forget that VS’s rap on that tune is on point!
Samplifire - Berserker in my opinion didn't fell short on "invention". The guy creatively mixed the hard dubstep sound with these viking kinda vocal/chants, almost making a new genre.
Nawtystep after listening to Fox Stevenson's 1st drop "It's reminding me of something, the dikudikudikudiku" Me: It reminded me of Barely Alive - Know You Better
Pretty good compilation, had some surprisingly good tracks. Standouts for me are: Fox Stevenson - Just a really fun track, melody on the bass is great. Virtual Riot's second drop is warm and gives me a cozy, calming feeling. Phaseone's track is heavy and has a sick flow. Mvrda brought that sick og dub. Dodge Fuski - The vocal sample and synth melody is catchy, really want to dance to this at the club.
Interesting that you say that because the Dodge & Fuski & Myro tunes were probably my two least favourite tunes of the comp. MVRDA's one is surprisingly good and is the best in terms of old school execution, it's in my top 5 for sure.
@GBF freeloader personaly i like songs that are loud mostly why i like moombaton idk how to spell it. Thats why music creators like bandlez, barely alive and RIOT are mostly my faverites
This comp is very mixed for me. The middle third was easily my favorite with the Eliminate, BA, Fox, Dirtyphonics tracks, which I really like and the VR track being my favorite. The first third was also pretty solid, but the last third just wasn't for me. Really enjoyed the melodic aspects of this comp and overall its more on the hit than the miss side of things
Fox Stevenson and Barely Alive smashed with the collab on vol.5 and now on vol.6 they come with the 2 best tunes in my opinion these guys surely are geniuses
Virtual riot's trac is one of his best in my opinion. But if you don't like his melodic side it is difficult to find the good. You have to be a lover of his style, that's all. Grettins Nawty!
@@TOLOTTUNESATL never said it isn't creative. It definitely is creative to a certain extent, but as Connor said, not the MOST INVENTIVE IDEA. Still one of the better tracks among the comp.
@@Nawtystep I have never heard this viking-style and -voices in a drop before, and many others were surprised by the tune aswell on instagram because of this new idea
After listening to the songs all together on this video, I've just realised that Graphyts second drop follows very much the same style as How We Rolls second drop. Oh dear...
My Top 6 tracks : Dodge & Fuski - 10 Years Too Late Disciple - How We Roll Samplifire - Berserker Oliverse - Don't Wake Me Up Virtual Riot - Dream Logic Fox Stevenson - Just Don't Mind Bonus : How We Roll (Livestream version), it's the ultimate number one for me. A shame that the "real" one doesn't really sounds like it :(
10 years to late does everything well but the drop doesnt work well it could of done a older approach or more heaviness just something other than sorta bland
@@Silvyya I think it is a pretty well-made drop, it has this old vibe but it doesn't totally sounds like 2010 dubstep. But I see what you mean and I really wonder if the intro would match with a "real" 2010 drop.
A lot of people said the Fox song sounds like Pegboard Nerds and Dion Timmer - Escape, and i think that’s what you were looking for when you said it sounded like something else.
I am going to be 100% honest, this is the best Disciple Alliance! I did not like Alliance Vol 4 or Vol 5 that much, and there a couple of tracks I enjoyed from Vol 4 and Vol 5 especially the ones that UKF Dubstep posted on their channel, but Alliance Vol 6 really impressed me. For the first time I enjoyed every single track from this compilation! This was amazing from start to finish Here are my favorite tracks from this: Modestep - Lost my Way 12th Planet - Follow Oliverse - Don't Wake Me Up Fox Stevenson - Just don't mind ECRAZE - Get Real PhaseOne - Make it Bump MRVDA - Not Alone Myro - Who Dem Dodge and Fuski - 10 Years too late
@@piloco4232 It's just a personal preference. My favorite key is G major and my least favorite is D I think. It's a very dark and eerie tone to me. Maybe hate was a strong word, but D major feels almost atonal to me.

I enjoyed this album for the most part. I most enjoyed Bandlez, Myro, And Virtual Riot's tracks. The rest of the tracks aren't bad, though, just not my favorites. Edit: definitely more bangers on this one then volume 5
My favorites are the Mega-Collab, even though I find the second drop quite repetitive, berserker, which I totally disagree with you on it (I think it's his best idea in a minute, scene-setting almost), lost my way, follow(which I know it's pretty everyday, but I enjoy the vocals quite a lot and the bulid-up for the second drop), don't wake me up, just don't mind(MY GOD), precaution(which is actually quite worse than their EPs this year, but I like the combo between Dread Mc's vocals and their style) and eartquake(which isn't quite as inventive as you'd expect, but I love the vocal samples)
Chibs has done really well in this alliance. he showed us what I believe was his best track yet. Murda's song was a little more calm than the other songs he made. Right on. Virtual Riot never disappoints. His track is really nice, like the rest of his music. Infekt has been one of my favorite people in a while now, and his track is nice, not too rough, and just what Riddim should have. When I first heard Eliminate's track, it reminded me a bit of Chib's Knock Knock. Otherwise this is a very good song and I enjoyed it. Barely Alive is back at it again! His track however is a little disappointing. I'm sorry, but those noises didn't really fit to the tune as I'd expected. Fox Stevenson's track sounds like the Lost It VIP by Virtual Riot and Pearl Andersson. It's still really great.
Just like to say that phase one ripped of pretty much the full idea for his first drop from an unreleased marauda Id, it was on his online live show at 11:30

Yeah I heard that, hence my cheeky smile as they mentioned them
@@Nawtystep Thanks.
LIVE REVIEWWWWWW LETS GOOOOO, I can't believe it. Nawty live reviewing *A DAMN COMPILATION????*
Dream Logic by VR had me eargasming the entirety of the track.
I literally only live review compilations and singles ... 😂
just checked your youtube channel to see if you reacted already - perfect timing xd
same here haha
Hahah awesome! Hope you enjoyed the vid 💙
@@Nawtystep I did! Great vid as always! :)
36:41 That piano sounds a lot like Xtrullor
He really needs to react to Xtrullor
@@Lumen99 i think he already did on one of his "Reviewing your submissions" videos
@@Rednodge_9 which one, I've got to see that
@@Lumen99 TL:DR He said Xtrullor was fine but it wasn't his style
woah didn’t know Xtrullor created the piano
32:23 “The Christmas of that sound”
the beats of opening presents
«Crispness» lol
Hahaha yeah when I was editing I thought people might think I’m saying Christmas 😂 i mean is that time of year so..
Not always that big on Samplifire but Beserker just absolutely slaps.
Chibs just proved the statement that "comb filter make everything better"
Man you were spot on about the Bandlez track. As a massive fan of their sound design and style, that track absolutely gets me moving
Imo this compilation has no bad songs and everyone represents themselves really well
Same here. Not huge on every single one because it’s 20 tracks but they’re all good in their own right.
What does that say for DnF 😅
I think the track you were thinking of during Fox Stevenson was Excision- Final Boss, but then Zomboy had something almost exactly like that the same year
Could also be Sullivan king fight back
Yeah and Barely Alive and Jarvis which I remembered post recording
@@Nawtystep also Virtual Riot - Lost It VIP
Or Ace Aura - Flow
THANK U! THANK U! THANK U! THANK!

@@lelenny7725 yes
See now this was entertaining to watch, dream logic didn't quite get to me as much as previous VR tracks. I liked the idea but I've heard better, Know you Better and Just Don't Mind were amazing, sorta agree with you on the drops with How We Roll, first one was better by a long shot. Oliverse was dope but same with VR, I've heard better.
26:30 you can't top JOAT's legendary hand movements 😅
The hand movements praised by the gods themselves
Dude samplifire CARRIED imo. Might be my favorite tune of the year
SAMEEEE, send chills down my spine every time I hear it
@@Nodeaa i have to agree on this one
Disciple megacollab was big dissapointment. Graphyt & Ecraze & virus syndicate carried the whole track.
this tbh
I mean the outro was REALLY Fox Stevenson, and the melodic fill leads are Fox aswell.
@GBF freeloader, the PhaseOne guitar was in the second verse.
A little bit PhaseOne
absolutely
I feel like dream logic picks up where save yourself left off
It picks up where pray for Riddim VIP left off
@@morris9651 we dont talk about that VIP....
@@AstrocyteMusic oh.....
@@AstrocyteMusic bitch what. PFR VIP was insanity. I fucking LOVE that banger
@@Zynet_Eseled first part of the first drop is good, but the first drop drones on for too long. It sounds like a bunch of things in the ID folder tossed together. Nothing insane on the ideas front but not objectively bad.
Berseker for me it’s the tune of the year
personally doesn't make my song of the year but it's definitely top 10, such a great track
The guy creatively mixed the hard dubstep sound with these viking kinda vocal/chants, almost making a new genre.
the way fox uses empty space is just incredible
Nawtystep after listening to Fox Stevenson's 1st drop "It's reminding me of something, the dikudikudikudiku"
Me: It reminded me of Barely Alive - Know You Better
Second drop of how we roll Disciple - Behemoth
5:53 That’s the colab with Barely Alive and Modestep - Our Own Way
Pretty good compilation, had some surprisingly good tracks. Standouts for me are:
Fox Stevenson - Just a really fun track, melody on the bass is great.
Murda, Myro, and Dodge & Fuski's tunes were the best. I really appreciate that some producers are kind of bringing back the old ways
Interesting that you say that because the Dodge & Fuski & Myro tunes were probably my two least favourite tunes of the comp. MVRDA's one is surprisingly good and is the best in terms of old school execution, it's in my top 5 for sure.
Dream Logic and Berserker are my fav
I didnt like myro's song because its just boring
@GBF freeloader no everything else is godd its just the drop that needs more
@GBF freeloader personaly i like songs that are loud mostly why i like moombaton idk how to spell it.
I feel like a lot of people don’t like the lighter hip hoppy snares but I personally love that style
was waiting for this! love to listen to you talking about music man, keep the good shit up! xD
Disciple imo is the best top to bottom label in dubstep and the interaction between members is beautiful
Fox Stevenson and Barely Alive smashed with the collab on vol.5 and now on vol.6 they come with the 2 best tunes in my opinion these guys surely are geniuses
Great vid bro! My favourite song from the album is Just Don’t Mind. Keep it up! 👍
How could you say no about that snare for Phasone??😅😭 That sold it for me. 😂😂🖤
Virtual riot's trac is one of his best in my opinion. But if you don't like his melodic side it is difficult to find the good. You have to be a lover of his style, that's all. Grettins Nawty!
4:18 "not the most inventive idea"
*HUH*
(this is a joke plz dont cry)
It isn't. So...... (not crying btw lol)
@@jacksonjames6071 Daaaamn
I really thought it was stellar and creative tho
@@TOLOTTUNESATL never said it isn't creative. It definitely is creative to a certain extent, but as Connor said, not the MOST INVENTIVE IDEA. Still one of the better tracks among the comp.
@@jacksonjames6071 lmao he literally said that at 4:38
Berserker is "not that creative"?? Hello?
I mean I’m gonna give it many more listens of course but yeah didn’t feel the invention dripping off it on that first listen 🤷🏻♂️
@@Nawtystep I have never heard this viking-style and -voices in a drop before, and many others were surprised by the tune aswell on instagram because of this new idea
I agree with you mate

Fox Stevenson: Excision & Dion Timmer - Final Boss (Second Drop)
After listening to the songs all together on this video, I've just realised that Graphyts second drop follows very much the same style as How We Rolls second drop. Oh dear...
I think my favorites were Dream Logic, Not Alone, Precaution, and 10 Years Too Late
28:32 Haha I literally did the exact same thing, Infekt’s song just came in randomly when I thought PhaseOne was still playing.
16:03 connor pog moment
metallic sounds on Berserker?
_are you ok, connor?_
I was waiting for this video
Ngl, I honestly thought Nawtystep was the vocalist on Infekt - Paul McRiddim XD
The vocalist will be always the Man Himself
My Top 6 tracks :
Dodge & Fuski - 10 Years Too Late
Disciple - How We Roll
Samplifire - Berserker
Oliverse - Don't Wake Me Up
Virtual Riot - Dream Logic
Fox Stevenson - Just Don't Mind
Bonus : How We Roll (Livestream version), it's the ultimate number one for me.
You knows it's good when he pulls out the hand movements
I am going to be 100% honest, this is the best Disciple Alliance! I did not like Alliance Vol 4 or Vol 5 that much, and there a couple of tracks I enjoyed from Vol 4 and Vol 5 especially the ones that UKF Dubstep posted on their channel, but Alliance Vol 6 really impressed me. For the first time I enjoyed every single track from this compilation! This was amazing from start to finish
Here are my favorite tracks from this:
Modestep - Lost my Way
12th Planet - Follow
Oliverse - Don't Wake Me Up
Fox Stevenson - Just don't mind
ECRAZE - Get Real
PhaseOne - Make it Bump
MRVDA - Not Alone
Myro - Who Dem
Dodge and Fuski - 10 Years too late
dude this is my fav vid y have made i love ur analyzing and how crazy ur reactions are!
Appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed :)
I agree with fox Stevenson. I LOVEEEE that track.
Just out of curiosity, did you see the two making of videos for "How We Roll" from the start of quarantine?
Make It Bump is such a good track but I've historically hated that key it's in.
I actually love the vibe from it
im just glad its not in the key of f minor
lol wait why would u hate a certain key, thats the first time ive heard of this phenomenon lol
@@piloco4232 It's just a personal preference. My favorite key is G major and my least favorite is D I think. It's a very dark and eerie tone to me. Maybe hate was a strong word, but D major feels almost atonal to me.
Fox Stevenson’s track reminds me of Escape - Pegboard Nerds & Dion Timmer
I like this new disciple alliance I can’t pick the best one because all of them in their own way. Most of the time I appreciate the evolution with some of the artists which I really I do like. I like some of nawdystep face reaction is the best for how I reacted to it. Have a nice day
I’m just a sucker for chibs’ music. It’s so much fun
I enjoyed this album for the most part. I most enjoyed Bandlez, Myro, And Virtual Riot's tracks. The rest of the tracks aren't bad, though, just not my favorites.
Edit: definitely more bangers on this one then volume 5
Love your reaction video 👌💯 m'y fav on this of course barely alive track 🔥
I think this the BEST COMPILATION EVER ON DISCIPLE! Just about every song on here I really like (:
I've been waiting for this 😁😁😆
My favorites are the Mega-Collab, even though I find the second drop quite repetitive, berserker, which I totally disagree with you on it (I think it's his best idea in a minute, scene-setting almost), lost my way, follow(which I know it's pretty everyday, but I enjoy the vocals quite a lot and the bulid-up for the second drop), don't wake me up, just don't mind(MY GOD), precaution(which is actually quite worse than their EPs this year, but I like the combo between Dread Mc's vocals and their style) and eartquake(which isn't quite as inventive as you'd expect, but I love the vocal samples)
Barely alive's 'know you better' is quite great...doing BA's job well
Dark elixir is my favorite there
32:23 the Christmas of that sound
Hey Nawtystep for an assignment I have to create a blog and I am creating an EDM review website, do you have any tips for reviewing music?
Review every music's *S N A R E*
Did a video on how I review music, recommend giving that a watch
But just use my formula ofc, do your own thing 😁
Waiting for this video! Fantastic Disciple Volume imo.
Just like to say that phase one ripped of pretty much the full idea for his first drop from an unreleased marauda Id, it was on his online live show at 11:30
i find it interesting dirtyphonics used the name dark elixir. i wish the artist who went by that name still produced but idk what happened to him
BA, fox, and oliverse all had absolutely out of the park tunes
Exactly
Song: *Wub*
Conner: OOOWWAIEEEEEEE
Here you have a summing-up: S N A R E

@@Nawtystep a good snare holds the track together imo 🤷🏾♂️ I'm glad you're so critical of it.
