Eric, install a rainwater recovery storage system on the RV. It will never rain again!
rofls right
😂😂😁👍👍
🤣👍
😂
😂😂😂
Don't worry so much..I, for one, am happy to watch whatever you post!🙃 Cheers from Australia.
Couldn't agree more with you Eric....... having a surveillance system gives
PEACE OF MIND
We were on our way home to south-central IL from St. Louis in the horrible rain on Friday night. It was a b*tch to drive in! We had been visiting my granddaughter in a hospital in the Lou. I told my husband that I bet you and the kitties were still in the area, and blamed all the rain on that fact. 😂 We enjoy your videos and look forward to each one. Keep on keeping on!
It’s Spring time in Illinois and it is going to be raining. Yesterday, it rained. Today it is sunny. I would enjoy hearing the rain in an RV. I’d be cooking, cleaning, remodeling the inside, working on inside projects, reading and just watching movies, but I get it you like to be on the go. Excellent idea to put any and as many security camera’s and light’s on your RV. Your RV is your home, and we put ring camera’s and security systems in our home and an RV which, is your home should be protected. Safe Travels.
Hey Eric, great video. Don't forget the guy who stole your RC truck and the guy siphoning gas out of your bike on back of rv. Great reasons for have video monitoring inside and out.
How much of our lives are spent 'Waiting'
You have such a talent for instructional information and I was with you until the 9-minute mark when my eyes started twilling
I just don't have the brain cells.
I knew about your E-bike experience and your interaction with the police, getting reimbursed as a reward. How Decent~
Wow what a informative video, you amaze me on your knowledge with electrical systems, like cameras for instant. You explained the wiring etc, you lost me, but that's because I don't know much about electrical. But I appreciate you describing the process. Wishing you continuous safe travels and health. God Bless
I like the day to day stuff even better than the "go places".
me too
Me three
Me 4
Me 5.....lol
Hey Eric!!👋
That is truly super awesome that they caught that ebike thief, and you received a check out of it! So all this expense and time you spend installing these systems far outweighs anyone wanting to do anything nefarious. Good for you! Hope the rain subsides. At least you're keeping busy with other projects. Take good care and be careful in these upcoming tornado storms.
You could splice those connectors right into the 12V DC house battery system instead of using an AC to 12V DC converter. It would be more power efficient and reliable.
This is an important point. Is there a compelling reason? It sounds like the cameras at least require 5V, not 12V.
I came here to say this. my cam system is all 12 volt
We love it when eric is forced to film videos inside the rv. Th1nk god for the rain 😁
your parked up our showing the real side of life it's all good. nice seeing opie how is Tarra? I love that little girl my cats a girl a rite fuss pot she is. hope have typed this right all ill again typing 7 foot from my screen . anyways thumbs up take good care all three of you personal i love the rain and the sound of rain helps me relax take care bud
Too cool u got letter and check from police department. Thats awesome 💕👍
Awesome camera technology and all your tips and tricks. Yes you do need all that security, its been a life saver for you on many occassions. Not to mention trolls.
Ethernet cables use RJ-45 plug adapter, HDMI plugs/cable are used for TV HD video. So the RV campground had a shed for storing stolen goods, perfect. I'll bet they had cheap rates LOL.
I'll need to make some changes on what gets left out overnight. Most I lost was a helmet and toolbox, with my motorcycle sitting next to them. But I only boondock out in the middle of nowhere,
or my own land in Colorado. Thanks for the PSA on RVers having a target on their backs. I bought some camera's that work on WIFI with small solar panels for power but not sure how well a solar panel hanging off the side of my RV would be.
You have also lost a generator, if I remember correctly. Eric, you are a rain magnet. But we love watching you. The cameras have saved you a couple times. You had the dash cam, when the guy hit and ran. You have a great idea for cameras, and why we need them.
WOW!! Love the Police Department/County sent you some dollars! Great NF. This country needs more positive examples like that! Great diligent work on your part!
Opie sat on the laptop!!!!😂😂😂
Ditch the 120v to 12v transformer and grab power for ALL THE CAMERAS and the NVR from a 12v source....in the event that your inverter goes down, the cameras will still function.
Good idea... just be sure it's properly fused at the source. It shouldn't take more than a 5 or 7.5 amp fuse
We thought of you Eric down there in S IL as we left N IL Friday after visiting family, 3 tornadoes chased us across Iowa as we zig-zagged back & forth, spending 3 hours in a stair well in an Altoona, IA Casino for 2 of the tornadoes. I am glad to have made it to Colorado safely for the summer where we run 13 campgrounds for the USFS. We grew up in the Midwest, but the older I get the more I hate tornado weather! Cheers, David & Sheila Knapp
Glad your okay
Altoona IA was fun to ride out the storm. We got lucky.
I'm a Florida girl glad they caught the thief 😮
Camera's are a good idea when you are out around like you are. Especially with the trolls you have.
sorry your in the Rain we just got to Disney world - Fort Wilderness Yesterday .its so nice hear 87 degrees, to bad your not hear oh ya lots of empty camp sites right know. so Quite and warm
Great advice!!!! 👍
Your videos are enjoyable even if you just sit and talk to the kitties. Be careful stay safe
Thank You for update security! I was hoping with your luck you would get installed soon! I wish I had the $ to send you! Love Your videos 👍 Please keep making more👍 great videos!👍
Great video.
We want kitties! Oppie and Tara are adorable
Solid State Hard Drive is definitely the way to go. You have caught a lot of shady stuff on those videos.
Put a camera in the trailer and a couple lipstick cameras on the outside of the trailer.
Eric I just bought a refurbished Macbook Pro for $800 from the Apple site - maybe that's an option for a backup.
Very informative and a great idea. Thanx Eric!
Kinda wondered about this. Thanks.
That's a great video system you have, I think your very smart to install in your rv....I have a dash cam in my semi and in my rv...but I'm definitely looking into your system it looks bigger an better...love your videos...:)
Amazing Eric, amazing stuff. You are a tech wizard! Thanks for sharing all the DIY stuff.
Thanks for sharing
I did remote viewing in the military. It was a different kind though
Great video I will be doing the exact same thing here soon
We use Blink cameras outside and inside for security. Use YoLink leak and temp/humidity sensors to remotely watch. YoLink sends alerts for high/low temp/humidity or any leaks. Important as we also travel with two cats. YoLink is also installed in our home along with Ring cams.
Eric ..yes, probably should bag the east coast and head back to Taterland. Settle there for a bit. You have a wonderful place to stay for the summer.
a little thing I learned a few years back on the Yukon river is if you get wet, you will dry out.
We got Apple air tags for our keys and wallets. Have saved us numerous times.
put an apple airtag on your keys. Tornado alley stretches across Illinois as well.
Thanks
Thanks for video
Hi Eric, PNW costal rain at home as well. Glad you’re safe from the tornado.
Great video Eric. I could not live without my dvr system. I run 20 cameras on 3 dvr receivers. Two have 8 cameras and one has 4.I watch them live in my home from 3 monitors. I have had cameras for years and love them.
BNC connector was named (for Bayonet Neill-Concelman) after its bayonet mount locking mechanism and its inventors, Paul Neill and Carl Concelman.
Dang dude! When it rains it pours on you! Happy to see you laughing it off! Hoping this go better soon!😊
Great video
lol! I need this! I can’t remember where I put spare keys, and I have the same Dvr/tv/booster. So….gotta get busy setting this all up! Need camera, tho. Thanks for the easy hack! And my laptop died with my life on it!😢😂
Lots of good information in this video
😊 thanks for the tips on the video system
Great security plan!
excellent video
❤ very informative thank you
❤
I use a YoLink temperature and humidity sensor as well as a few water leak sensors to monitor everything with alarms set on my phone instead of putting a thermometer in front of a camera. Really nice system that works over WiFi.
There was most likey a reward for e bike thief but glade you was able to catch him
The NSA has all your stuff... be careful out there....really like your channel ...
The trailer looks good. I’m headed to your happy place in 32 days….Orlando.
Eric- you make this look easy. Can you share what the video quality looks like at night?
Yes! Sorry, I will show night vision in my update video after interior camera install. Gimme a week or so
Found on wiki:
What does a BNC connector stand for?
Bayonet Neill-Concelman
The connector was named the BNC (for Bayonet Neill-Concelman) after its bayonet mount locking mechanism and its inventors, Paul Neill and Carl Concelman
you had my hubby and i worried that you had a break in, so glad that was not the case. send some of that rain to northern va. 😊
We're getting the same weather here in the U.P. of Michigan. Lake Michigan was low so I'm hoping the rain will bring it to normal range.
All about risk management, thanks for Sharin’ Eric. Helpful.
Hey Eric awesome video as always. I have misplaced my keys so many times, and I recently got the Apple AirTag which works great. It’s great to have in which you can put on other items.
Cameras have saved you on at least one occasion. 🎉
Great vlog Eric, keep up the nice work.👌👍
Great video Eric …. Sorry about your laptop😮
I realize it's a bit more expensive (not massively though), but Eero is so much better for distributing wifi across your rig and outside your rig, and the pods have ethernet.
Great video I do like the camera information 👍 I know rain rain go away come back some other day hope that works🤗
Hey Eric Man alive When it rains it pours I'm sorry for the pun man But hopefully things will get going again for you And I do think you are absolutely 100% right to have camera's especially with what people do with the thing in California and the nutty drivers their on the road for sure
Eric you need rain gear for the motorcycle and a full face helmet I've ridden in lots of heavy rain and never got wet.
I like the cameras. Yep, Rain curse!
If it turns out that the Macbook works via external monitor it could be as simple as a loose ribbon cable internally.
I hope so. Adapter was not delivered today... Delayed in transit.
Nice security system.
Tatertot watching this and laughing 😆 🤣 😂 😄
Have you ever thought about a little bigger trailer that would hold the bike, and smart car?
Wow ! That's cool. Never saw a screen like that on my Macs before.
Good video. You are a security guru! I don't blame you as I believe you can never have too much security. I have at least 7 security cameras at my house and thinking about getting more. LOL
If it's raining before 7am it'll stop by noon. If it starts after 7 it's likely to rain all day. If you don't like the weather wait 15 minutes it will change, except during April showers. If the creeks are out of their banks in January, they will be out in July. Tornado season is spring and fall. The weather should be nice in May... tomorrow. Just a couple of the things we know about Illinois. 🌞👍
My Brothers And Sisters, the Midwest Is A Rainy Place like the North West For Real.
Security is essential!
It is great that you bring rain to people Eric , just kidding haves great day...Buddy..
Agreed i would definitely want security cameras 👍
Plainfield, IL had a F5 back in 1990. Illinois has always been a state that can get strong tornadoes.
Good Morning. This was Great Vidio today. Jack
Great video. Camera system is super. Hope your Mac isn’t toast.
Great video...❤
Great video. Thanks for all the information and the tips and tricks that you’ve learned over the years. I’m perfectly fine with you just talking about life and what’s going on and not always having to go to a destination. I enjoy the destinations but I also enjoy your talks too. Keep up the great work.
Daily rain and solar aren't very energy efficient, but like you, I also find rain depressing. Think dry thoughts ! and THANK YOU for sharing.
Mr Erick ! I have the same problem with my mac try with hdmi i will work for sure! Greatings from Chihuahua Mex
good vid nice cams keep up the travel vids you do on channel
If you have the model I think you have, the video ribbon cable goes bad. Pretty cheap fix. Talk to an Apple Store. I’d do it for you if you were in Virginia.
Yeap it's Spring in Illinois. It rains.
Eric, at least you have not blown away in a tornado. Nice camera system, and nice video discussin how you have hooked eeverything up. Take care, and be safe.
Pretty manic, you're smart, you, can you're a smart guy?❤
How long does your cloud storage stay in place? 90 days of 24-7 video is a lot of Drive space
I have cameras all around mine. And I got some “I wish you would” inside if you know what I mean
gotta get yourself a rainsuit for riding in the rain eric
A wind jacket with a hoodie would be useful for those small walk arounds.
Hey Eric, Tim here in a maroon Honda CRV. Yeah I have 360° surveillance cameras around my RV four of them one like you have and one on the other side driver side but it’s facing forward one in the back and I actually have two on the passenger side one facing forward, one facing back. Yeah I love my system. It’s so nice at night, I’ve got the same cameras you have anyway buddy good luck with your computer and yeah I’m headed back to Oregon to some of what you’re into their that rain but hopefully I’m late enough. I’m in Beatty Nevada right now headed Oregon. Hopefully I’ll bring my feet for another couple weeks and will dry out a little more but anyway you travel safe for them kitties I’ll look forward to the next video bud talk soon… Tim.
Excellent!
