He sacrificed himself to bring peace and it worked. He always said "those who can kill are those who are prepared to be killed". Lelouch killed like 1 000 dudes but he got killed too. Best (and logic) ending ever.
that is one neat way to look at it that i have not thought of before now. lelouch fooling suzaku into believing he took the code is an idea that never crossed my mind. for now, but only untill i rewatch the series to refresh myself on it, i will admit defeat to you, congratulations.
that is a possibility, i cant argue that code geass was filled with symbolism. there is still the line of "you will live on eternally as zero" to consider though. i hate to be the person that just repeats himself, but it has been a while since i have watched code geass and will have to rewatch it to review the series. i remember c2 crying in the church, not because she was sad about lelouch making the choice to live forever, but because she lost the one who would grant her wish, to be loved

I actually saw this video BEFORE i even saw the Anime, then i watched it in 2014 and damn it was great.

Guys have you even watched the last episode? The director decided to go with an episode that would give the veiws freedom of choice on wiether or not lelouch died. Personally based on what I saw I personally believe that he must have lived or else the issue from episode one would not have been resolved. Which was that those with the power of geass will be forever lonely. Plus the indication of c.c's eye towards the cart driver on the last ep as well as the raised voice indicated that she was talking to lelouch. The issue was resolved because she had found an eternal partner. Also all characters who became immortal would leave behind thier old names so c.c or vv or lelouch lamperough would become L.L. -also why would cc and the cart driver have to be in a far away place unles they planned to go unseen which c.c didnt necessarly need to do as much as lelouch did. Lelouch died but geass L.L lived on
it is supposedly left open for interpretation but the director himself said it would be more Lelouch like to stay dead, all of the theories of him surviving are completely outlandish, but if you want him alive I won't crush that dream last time i did a guy told me to fuck off lol

And i was surprised when people said they believe he died cause i got a completly diffrent feeling from the show. Although i did hear the supposed answer from the director at some point. But i just decided to stick with my belif.
I love how people say C.C's eyes wen't to the cart driver when they didn't. She did that same thing when she was talking to Marion in her dimensional world place. I guarantee that is where Lelouch is and how she was talking to him. You can believe he's alive all you want, but this nonsense with her eyes "going" towards the cart driver needs to end. I'm sure we are all sad that Lelouch died and we all go through the denial stage, but him dying is what made the series so amazing. As he said in the beginning, the only people who should kill are those who are willing to die themselves.

I just said if you want to believe he's alive that's perfectly fine. I really don't care if you do or don't. I don't see how that's not giving you the right to your opinion. I simply made a factual point. If you cannot accept that, that is on you. If you actually watch that part her eyes aren't going to the driver whatsoever. You could say that indeed - it holds no merit though. What I said does. She did the same thing when talking to Marion.

A good video. I found the flashing effects, such as those you used at the very beginning, somewhat annoying, but you chose a very good song and clips that did not detract from it. I'm favoriting this one; a great job.
What was proclaimed by the writer was not that lelouche is dead but that it is an ending where YOU decide so do not let these people tell you what did or didnt happen at the end it is what you truly wanted to happen in the end if you wanted lelouche to live then he is alive if you wanted him dead then he is dead.

A relative of the Weinberg's as well as one of the Britanian royal family (Clare) are present in Renya of the Darkness (Code Geass R3), so we can't rule out the possibility that the Lelouch look alike is a relative of Lelouch. Also, the comment made about the uncut Japanese version is correct.

Awesome song in AMV about great anime. I just love this song and I love Code Geass so in my eyes this is perfect combination. Lelouch as Zero was awesome but Lelouch as Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire was even more awesome. Its shame that Kallen and others were fast to turn on him after they learned small part of the truth. Even then they didn't question if turning on him was best possible choice.

When doing an AMV I recommend using ther the dub or the raw version for your AMV. Looks much better.
if you want sources, be sure to read the whole thing. a new season of code geass is going to be made but its not going to be able lelouch its about some other guy that looks alot like lelouch 100 years before the start of the first season. the new season is basically a prequel
Lelouch is not dead. I mean you can believe whatever you want because that is how the writer intended the ending to be. Whatever you want to believe is how it ends, but in my opinion there is a lot that says he is not dead. He is definitely alive. All hail Lelouch!!!

@NoMoreLegends this is possibly based on the manga, the third or the second one which is either suzakus view of the series or nunally after this all happened, but it is entirely possible that lelouch will come back if its the nunnally one, as the plot kinda hinted at it

people have been saying that since the end of the last season, and there hasn't been anything confirming another season.
@MrVengeance1984 Actually I think it is way before that, since I just read the first two chapters and so far there are knights, and C2 attacking a village. And some kid named Renya gets a geass which involves him ripping off his own arm and growing a robotic looking one with an eye sticking out. The arm also elongates like the Gurren and kills with a touch.

it was the best ending to any show i have ever seen though, and I believe that he died because even though it's sad, it was his ultimate sacrifice in order to create a new world that strove towards the future

While I would love to believe that he is alive, I'm gonna go with he died. They left me with no solid proof that he became an immortal. And yes I have heard of an R3, but that it wasn't to follow Lelouch at all. However that was many months ago and things could very well have changed.

@assasin1324 He didn't share memories, Nunnally has always been able to tell what a persons motives and lies are by touching their hand, and when she touched lelouch she figured it out. And there is no r3 manga, only spinoffs.
But there IS an R3 anime coming out this yeah.

A very good AMV, among the best Code Geass AMVs that I've seen. However, as constructive criticism, next time try to not use subbed footage. It takes away from the experience. Use raw or dubbed. Otherwise, great job.
It's not really a fan-boy point of view, I just put together things that were said between C.C. and Lelouch, the fact that after C.C. goes into the deepest recesses of her mind that she makes a new contract with him, being that he will love her. SHE would not let him die because of that. That and the fact that Jeremiah -AKA Orange- would not let Lelouch be killed by any means being that he's a member of the royal family.

Lelouch took CC's code and became immortal. When he was stabbed, Nunnally seen into his past, just like how CC could make people see into her past. This theory gives reason as to why CC was talking to Lelouch at the end.
code geass can be compared to death notes in a a few ways like both protagonist dieing in the end the difference is lelouch died for the greater good and Light died because he couldnt keep his laughter inside and because his failure to see what was coming X3

I'm pretty sure he's alive. My theory is that at some point, he gained the same power his mother had, and right before he died, jumped into Suzaku, thus hiding in him until he could put a plan into motion. Or, he could have even jumped into Nanalie. And it makes sense cus when his mother was in the pink haired knights head, C.C was able to talk to her, so that's my theory...flawed, yes, but its doable.
