This series is one I can watch over and over and enjoy it just as much. I will say though the Euphemia massacre made me cry and almost made me physically sick the first time I watched it.

These things were contributing to the endless wars. However, killing the families of such people served a twofold purpose, not only removing those in power who triggered war and ensuring that nobody would be left to replace them. The second purpose for killing the families was to make Lelouch truly the most hated and feared person in the world. That way when he was killed by Zero (Suzaku) the world would be weary of war and with those in power having been silenced or hunted down the voice of the people would finally be heard and have authority. Zero (Suzaku) and the Black Knights would lead the world down the path of peace and ensure those corrupted by power, hatred and fear would not retake control. Having slain the tyrant and been liberated from a staged execution, which conveniently put them in the open where they could be rescued, Zero and the Black Knights were positioned to be particularly well received as the worlds newly appointed stewards of peace. And that is how Lelouch was able to destroy himself as a person before the eyes of the world and still turn his death into a victory condition which was all part of his plan. Ok now I’m just crying about the ending. There’s gonna be a season 3 and even though I know that the ending was necessary, I miss him so much I want him back. At least people recognize him as a hero rather than a demon

This was the first Within Temptation song I ever heard and it’s one of my favorite bands now so it’s fitting that this would play on a Code Geass AMV since this was the first anime I ever saw in the mecha genre which is now my favorite genre!
Code Geass is a better version of death note cause of it's great ending and a well written character like our king lelouch vi Britannia one of the best anime character of all time and will be forever no one gonna be able to replace him ❤️❤️

I love this AMV. Beautifully made. The only other story that would fit this particular song would be Angel Sanctuary... if ever that manga had gotten a PROPER anime adaptation and not a measly 3-episode OVA. But then again, Angel Sanctuary is... well... waaay darker. And messed up. And brutal. And twisted, depraved and just plain cruel. But cool. Ultimately cool. How would you do a MMV (manga music video) to pay it homage? Food for thought.
