One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone takes offense for someone else. The metaphor I’m using is injury, if I scrape my hand ( meaning someone says something a little offensive) people shouldn’t be freaking out about it right. I can handle that on my own. If I have a stroke (someone says something really offensive) other people can and should respond for me/with me. This is a scrape not a stroke don’t freak out. What she said was not aimed toward anyone, was not bad, and was not known to be bad by her. If a 4 year old says something mean you know they don’t mean it. But what she said wasn’t even mean it was the equivalent of calling someone a buttface.
