That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names.

I said it in the chat before polk folded and i'll say it again here. Scott setting up the river bluff with QQ on the turn and then following through was beautiful. Not enough people make that play on an AKxx board even when they're very likely behind and can super credibly rep 2p+. Chat was ragging on him around that time in the session and I was really pleased to see him show some serious mettle right there. Big respect to the guy. Great attitude through the ups and downs, and he showed up to play for rolls against a guy widely considered to be in the tippy top tier of live HUNL. Hope to see more of him on the cash streams.

That wasnt a good play, because the guy just was willing to put his stack in every single fucking hand. Lol.
      Idk why doug fold.

That wasn't a good play at all. He has plenty of garbage he can use as bluffs. His hand beats all of Doug's garbage draws and can be used as a bluff catcher on the river. The line makes no sense and is horrible. It's a line he can reasonably take with plenty of hands in his range, including garbage as well as nutted hands. There is no reason whatsoever to use QQ there.

@@Ohrami Yea, Guy is way, way, over bluffing, over calling.
He just gets to showdown on every fucking hand or is trying to.
Doug just randomly hits the nuts and over bet ships it, and gets paid off. Guy is playing very bad IMO.

I've been enjoying these HU streams. I thought Scott played well, with Doug running very well and having a slightly more refined HU strategy in all spots.

Dude anyone would have folded that one liner to the straight Broadway, good job calling one more card for a possible Broadway and if you didn't hit the straight you could bluff another straight so you needed an 8 9 for bluffs or j for the nuts. Deadly for even drawing to a bluff

Runner runner Broadway when he's crushed, No Diamond on the river when his opponent has nut flush draw and he has top pair and then getting AA vs 99 heads up with no overs til the river is how Doug made his money in life nothing better than being a GREAT and LUCKY player.
