This was one of our favorite hikes when we were there in July. It was SUPER windy that day so we had some pretty big gust that made things extra adventurous at times ;) Totally worth it and would hike it again and again!
I hiked this canyon recently in early April... it might have been the favourite place I saw my whole trip. It was covered in snow when I visited though, so really cool to see it in a different light... I'd love to go back again and hike it in summer in all it's greenery!
@@mikesography7395 Hi Mike - it took us around an hour, and that was with deep snow/icy conditions and stopping to take photos, so if you went when the snow was gone you could do it in around 40 mins I reckon!
@@rrickymaa It went great! I ended up driving the entire ring road in a week. I decided to go back next year and rent a 4 wheel drive to see the highlands.
One of the few places photographers still have to themselves. I hope it doesn’t get popular lol. It’s such a beautiful hidden gem. Can’t wait to see it in August 2022.
My wife and I will be in Iceland for another visit (my 7th her 6th) July 21 to Aug 15. So keep the videos coming so that we have new places to visit. On your way back did you stop at the Svartifuss area. Thank you Ben and Linda
Hey! I'm visiting Iceland in September and was wondering if you could share with me the location of the glacier you went to in the beginning of this video. Thanks!
I'd also love to know! I just visited Iceland this April and was lucky enough to see and film the glacier from a few spots, but i don't recognise the one at the start... it looked stunning. (Also, I'm no expert Robin, but if you want any recommedations I'd be happy to give some - enjoy your trip!)
I’m coming back to Iceland 1st May and hope to be here on 4th. Thank you for this video. It’s one of the places I’m really looking forward to seeing. Can I ask how challenging the hike was and how long it took you.
Hey Cody!! Did you do the Mula hike?? We are going this mid- Sept (2024) and would love to hear yr thoughts/suggestions!! How challenging is the hike??
Hi Michal! In the video we started at the parking lot/trailhead at minute 2:29. The canyon view is at minute 5. It takes just over an hour to get from the trailhead to the canyon view and you can easily take 30 minutes just admiring the viewpoint, walking a little further to see from higher up and getting closer to the waterfalls. DO NOT rush this venture, it is life changing. I even have friends that have cried happy tears once they reached the viewpoint. Overall, this hike and your time at the viewpoint will take 2.5 hours.
@@jakesonaplane_ I hiked it just a few days later and had a similar experience! I was following some very deep trodden footsteps to make it easier... they may well have been yours!
Noooooooooo delete this video :( going to ruin it by telling everyone..... Hiked it last week and we were completely alone. Please keep it this way as long as possible.
so why should you get to go but no one else? I was there last week, and there were about 20 people there, but it still felt like I had it to myself. Stop being so self-righteous.
These views are stunning👍👍 Great video, thanks for taking us along❣❣

Omg isn’t it amazing! The hike itself was so awesome and I was just in love when we got to the waterfall 💚
@@IcelandwithaView Yes! I felt exactly the same...what a magical place.
@@ChloeRoseHarrison hello how long did it take to reach the actual canyon from the beginning of the hike please

I had to cancel my trip to Iceland in 2020 because of the pandemic. I am finally going next month. Thanks for all the great tips!
Howd the trip go?

Amazing Land! Great video!
Wonderful experience 💕💕💖💖
Jeannie, Do you think that this hike is passable in late October (assuming no bad weather on the day of the hike)?

I agree I also need the location. Visiting in September.
how do i look up the location of the glacier area you visited in the beginning of the clip? maybe i just missed it if you indeed mentioned it.
Thank you for this video! Do you need a 4x4 to get to the parking lot of this hike?
Where is the sweater with the hood from?

Is this on your ring road map? Thanks! 😊
Do you have to have 4WD to get to this hike? Would love to do it on our trip next month! (Mid September)

what´s the music at 5:40 min?
Ah, I'm actually planning to visit Mula in September. Due to time and other reasons, I'm actually going here instead of the "other" canyon nearby.
Is this the nearest parking for 2WD cars to the cayon ?
How long it takes to the canyon from parking place? 😇

it's old. I hiked it 01 April 2022 and it's completely snowed in the entire trail. Fell 2-3 feet quite a few times :)
