I believe this album was a tribute to his mother and the type of music she loved. She was dying during the making of it and if I'm not mistaking, died on the day it was released.
What is amazing about this piece is how it brought me to tears when I first heard it not knowing what the title was. It got me very emotional and I wondered why I was crying. Then I saw the title... I was surprised! I lost my twin sister six years ago and this song obviously spoke to me in a very special way. Love David Benoit! 😘
