@@sanjayadhikari4800 it's fighter engines not helicopter engines bro. Russia helis are quite reliable and they have made most attack helicopters in the world and operated by the world. After we bought helicopters from US there has been 2 emergency landings for Chinook and 3 for Apache if you remember so reliability is never 100%

Legendary Russian Mi 25 n Mi 35 gunship has a proud history in combat. But they had a tough time in Afghanistan when they were shot down by US stinger missiles. Indian Air Force usually use capable Mi 35s for anti tank n anti terror operations. We couldn't use them in Kargil bcoz of weight lack of climb rate at heights plus it was not useful as it could have been shot down by Pakistanis using stinger missiles. Mi 35 will be replaced later.

India as a country Need at least 150-200 Attack Helicopter. Our Attack Helicopter Numbers are very low. And Our Govt not buying LCH or Kamov ka-52 those two are economically affordable to India. Spending $2 Billion on 15 Chinook and 22 Apache is not a Solution.

India should go beyond LCH and develop a heavy attack helicopter of 10 tonne class to replace Mi35 and complement the Ah64 Apache
