Hi Peter I am fortunate to have been brought up in Scotland and fished many of the rivers here and a big part of traveling is seeing the fantastic scenery . I am sure that when you go fishing you will have a similar experience especially as the seasons change Take care Tight lines Cheers Iain 🥃
Thanks again Jo Jo I seem to have gotten off to a rather slow start this year But I am having a lot of enjoyment fishing and meeting old and new freinds .. Lots of good days to come this year and I hope that your season is the same. Tight Lines Cheers Iain 🥃
You gents really are the masters of casting, a real pleasure to watch. Hope to hear that reel sing very soon for you Iain, your efforts certainly deserve it. Hope your wife is of better health too. Many regards Frosty
Thanks once more Frosty I think that there are many that would say that our casting ability is down to a misspent youth and not enough time at school . Frances has had her medication altered and we hope that her health may level out all the best Cheers Iain 🥃
That looked an interesting bit of water Iain ..and tricky to wade if your not familiar. Pity they didn't seem interested...next time maybe! Hope Frances is on the mend. Tight lines and all the best to you both....👍👍
Thanks Mr Mazo Frances hasn't been well and spent a bit of time in the Royal in Edinburgh then back to Clydebank to get medication adjusted and now hope things may settle for her ...... I am lucky that she wants me to get out and have a cast Back to Dalguise on the 15th June and looking forward to it Cheers Iain 🥃
Haven’t fished Dalguise for for years. In fact the last time I fished it we got hit with a 5ft flood & my fishing buddy Colin & Stan tucked into a bottle of whisky & got pished while I was on the coffee as I was driving. 😂😂 What a character Stan was, god rest his soul.
It is a lovely beat to fish Fraser and if you ever make it there I am sure that Moray the Ghillie will look after you and point you in the right direction to suit your ability I am back there on the 15th and looking forward to to meeting up with anglers on the day.. Cheers Iain
At this time of year everything is so green Marcel and as you say it is a beautiful stretch with a variety of pools . The river was to high to have a cast in the lower pools but I hope that when I get back there on the 15th I will get to fish these . Cheers Iain 🥃
I am a member of the Perth and District A A and I pay an annual fee . The AA book slots of fishing on beats and then they are balloted for the members. Its great value for money
If I ever find myself in Scotland again I’m going to try and find you and get a few days fishing in , I’m still running my 13,6ft Spey by Temple Fork Outfitters 10 wt Casts an absolute mile
It is a lovely beat to fish James it is a pity that the water was a bit high and I never managed to have a cast below the island . looking forward to next trip at Dalguise Cheers Iain 🥃
Hi Lee Stan was a character and would entertain those that ventured into his domain . It was a shame the way his life ended . You will probably know Tom Borthwick as he fished often with Stan Cheers Iain 🥃
Good evening Iain, hope Frances and yourself are well. How is the Salmon fishing this year above/below average. That looked a lovely piece of water you were fishing, I was waiting for the reel to start screaming, but alas not this time. Tight lines and keep away from this new Indian variant, hopefully the vaccines will contain it.
Good evening to you Paul. Frances has been going through a bad patch recently and had to be taken on a trip by ambulance to hospital last Saturday and we then had to go see the specialist at the Golden Jubilee at the other side of Scotland on Wednesday. Things have improved for her now that they have adjusted her medication. I am lucky in as much as Frances always wants me to have time to myself fishing But have cancelled my trips apart from day visits to the river. I hope that you are living well and your daughter Frances is bringing your grandchildren as often as possible. As for the fishing I will be back there at Dalguise on the 15th June and hope to have a good splash about Keep well Cheers Iain 🥃
I have been out again since Kenny and had another fishless day .......... it beats working or sitting in the house and it brings such a smile to my face looking forward to my next outing all the best Cheers Iain
It was hard work trying to cover the water James but fun . The sky was a bit dark and never showed how beautiful the area was and I am looking forward to 15th June when I have another day there Cheers Iain 🥃
Hi Nick I think it must be a shadow , I cant remember seeing anyone with a mask on while fishing at Dalguise .... If you can have another look and have a look at the time line and let me know where in the video that you found him Cheers Iain 🥃
The weather was a bit overcast and heavy Stiofain I am going to fish at Dalguise again on the 15th June and look forward to returning and hope to get my reel screaming Cheers Iain 🥃

Looks like a nice stretch of water Iain. A bit wide for my casting ability at this stage for much of it though!
