I was in Indonesia for two weeks this month cause I got short term work there and decided to skip uni, so I became very fond of bubble tea and comfortable sandals. Spring is here in the Southern Hemisphere so I'm also a big fan of blossoms. And I adore your carpet!!
I feel like a lot of things I see on social media give me anxiety and make me feel bad about myself (not their fault of course), but you are one of the few youtubers/social media personalities that just inspires me every time. Each time I watch a video of yours or see a post I'm like "today is when I organise my life" or right now I realised I haven't been to a musical in a long time and that is something I want to do. Tldr: love your stuff! You inspire me ♥️
My favourites this month, ⚀ mustard jumper ( previously my sisters) ⚁ 4Ocean bracelet ⚂ bee necklace I also really want to get my friend a Gryffindor poster for Christmas now! Xx
@@hannahwitton She spoke about this book in particular! She said that the first encounters make uncomfortable reading today, but it was the only way to make extra-marital sex at all socially acceptable in the 20's xxx
I worked at a madewell and they make great jeans. All of my jeans are from there now. They are a bit pricey but they last. Be sure to never put them in the dryer!
I haven't seen it yet, but I feel like you would REALLY love Six. It's playing again at the Arts theatre next year, so I hope you go and see it and see what you think!
This is going to sound silly, but your favourites this month are amazing! I wish I could have seen Carrie perform in Heathers, the musical looks incredible. And these new Eclectic Eccentricity earrings are gorgeous 😍 My main favourites of September were the 2 concerts I went to (Janelle Monáe and Berywam). I also really liked a bunch of TV shows: Disenchantment, Bojack Horseman Season 5, and the first episode of The Good Place Season 3 😄
I was actually sat three rows behind you guys at Heathers 😂 was too nervous to come say hello at the interval but very much in agreement about the JD situation haha x
I actually just think you're so sweet and you have such a lovely energy and always have interesting things to share! What is your favourite theatre show? Mine has to be either Lion King, War Horse or Les miserables! Xxx
Hannah, I thought you of all people would know what contraceptive devices the 20's had? There were fitted caps/diaphragms developed by Marie Stopes that are inserted and sit right under the cervix. (Come to think of it, I believe that I found you channel years ago when I was searching around for historical contraceptive methods after seeing a certain episode of Downton Abbey. !)
So let me get this right ... a serial murderer with all the darkness in the world in his soul reminds you of Dan? I got a day seat last week in the front row and Jamie Muscato's (JD) eyes at the end of Act 1 are still haunting me now it was so realistic! Super performances from the entire Heathers cast. Would recommend.
Did you get to watch The Miseducation of Cameron Post? If you did what did you think of it? I wanted to see it but it was only in the cinema for 1 week & I missed it!
I watched this video while in the office (lol), now all I want to do is go buy things eclectic eccentricity 😅 P.s. totally agree on the coasters. Funny how aging turns us into coaster police!
Your faves this month are great!! But jeez, what kind of nipple guards did you get?! If you ever want to try them again, Forever 21 sells silicone ones that are so comfy I actually forget I have them on Lovely video as always, so nice to hear about your sister!
My favorite thing this month was definitely going to Atlanta, GA, to see one of my heroes, Anita Sarkeesian, at Agnes Scott college. She was with a coworker at Feminist Frequency, Ebony Adams, because they wrote a book about women who history left out. They were also with the hosts of the podcast Unladylike, and it was just an awesome conversation. They were also signing books afterward, and I got to talk to Anita and Ebony IN PERSON, and I still can't believe it was real. Also, omg does Lady Chatterly's Lover sound problematic. I just finished watching your disability, sex and relationships roundtable video, and I was surprised disability didn't come up in your critique of the book, since part of the plot hinges on it.
I’m reading a book at the moment called ‘Things a Bright Girl Can Do’ by Sally Nichols, it’s about the suffragettes too but from the perspective of multiple young girls. There’s a young lesbian couple too which I think is cool. Sylvia Pankhurst is in it briefly though. It’s really good, would recommend :)
You looked so good at Buffer Festival! I volunteered and was one of the photographers for the red carpet. I shared a couple of photos I took of you on instagram @jennstansphotography
I went to see Heathers and I was also totally in love with JD and had to deal with that... he also reminded me of my boyfriend. Is this a *thing*? There would have been condoms and pessaries in the 1920s, though usually men were in charge of the condoms.
You feel bad for not finishing a book in a month but I can barely get round to finishing a book in a year! 😂 Got any tips for making yourself stick to getting through a book/ getting back into reading?
love your videos so much! Here , in Brazil, the politc situation is making my mental heatlh go downhill...So whatch your energy and news is litterally making me more calm and happy... #elenao
Hey, I just wanted to let Hannah and anyone else who is either rewatching or catching up that the Eclectic Eccentricity links don't work. I'm not sure what happened - maybe they changed or lost their original domain - but it's eclecticeccentricity.co.uk/ Not sure if this affects Hannah's kickback.
I did Lady Chatterley's Lover as my A Level Literature Coursework and it honestly disappointed me. Especially in how the lover anally raped Lady Chatterley yet it wasn't properly acknowledged and she chose to stay with him after that. I also didn't find it that well written either but in saying that I also understand it's a very old classic.
Oohhh Hannah. A man at my new job is preparing to have his colon removed by the end of the year (colitis) and I wonder if there’s anything different about living without a colon as a man vs as a woman. Everything I know about it, even other youtubers I’ve found, is from a cis woman’s perspective.
I think Lady Chatterley was probably using a diaphragm as they've been around since the 1880's but started to gain popularity in the 20's from what I understand. Although I'm sure the Author just didn't even bother to think about it. Also with that book, it took me so long to realise that one of her lovers is black, just because of how it was written. Obviously there's nothing wrong with that I just felt dumb it took me that long.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the world knowing you have nipples but if it does make you uncomfortable plasters work without cutting your skin!
Before you put her print in your snapchat story I didn't even know you had a sister and ive been a subscriber for like a year or more. I love her work but it doesn't ship to the USA
maybe DH Lawrence just didn't really understand how women's fertility works and just thought she could be in control of getting pregnant by just using her mind alone... ALSO I cannot believe you were sitting 4 seats away from Cate Blanchett I WOULD HAVE DIED!!!!!!!! I'm praying I manage to get tickets for her show at the national next year
So I don’t wear a bra regularly. My endometriosis sometimes gives me terrible hot flashes from the pain and bras just make it worst. Fortunately I’m barely a B cup so I don’t really need it but when I feel that maybe my nipples are inappropriate for the occasion I put bandaids on my nipples. It’s kind of trial and error till you find the best bandaids for your nipples but they are way cheaper than those pasties and I totally forgot they are even there. Also a friend of mine just tapes them down (although in my opinion more painful coming off 😬)
Lol 😆 literally me reading Jane Eyre I’m thinking is predatory right this is this is very predatory right right and no one’s gonna say anything OK. Lol
Anything by DH Lawrence tends to be somewhat troubling in how it deals with women. He is my least favourite modernist >> Can't quite tell how literal you were being about the contraceptions question (so apologies if I'm telling you what you already know) but condoms have been around for centuries. Casanova even talks about using "a sheath" in his memoirs.
There were actually a lot of contraceptive options then! The birth control movement really took off in the late 1800's. Withdrawal, rhythm method, condoms, barrier + spermicide, and douching was also very common.
@@hannahwitton Hmm...I'd imagine they were using something like pulling out then as Anna suggests below. But, tbh, having read some of Lawrence's other work, I'm not entirely convinced he understood women all that well. Both Sons and Lovers and Women in Love come off incredibly misogynistic. Wouldn't surprise me at all to learn he didn't know the full deets about reproduction 😅
I didn't care much for Lady Chatterley's Lover. I felt like D.H. Lawrence really wanted the reader to believe that Constance and Oliver are soul mates, but it read to me like it was just the first time either of them had had great sex, which isn't quite the same thing.
obviously, the book is old and I think Hannah knows this, but clarification is super important because there's much stigma/confusion around disability and sex
We absolutely need a house tour once yall get everything situated and are satisfied with how it looks!
My favorite this month is binge watching all Hannah vid's lo. As a deaf/HOH, thank you for putting closed captions on your videos Hannah~
Can I ask what closed captions are? I've never heard the term before xx
Love the cheeky editing about the Hufflepuff coaster!
I’m mad on your behalf that anyone said the Hufflepuff common room is ugly!!!😱😡
I was in Indonesia for two weeks this month cause I got short term work there and decided to skip uni, so I became very fond of bubble tea and comfortable sandals. Spring is here in the Southern Hemisphere so I'm also a big fan of blossoms. And I adore your carpet!!
I had that same pop socket!! Hello from Kentucky in the US. i love watching your videos because they are so positive and refreshing
i got a necklace each for me and my sister from eclectic eccentricity! 100% will be buying more from there it’s all so PRETTY
It's not ugly, Hannah! Puff Pride!

I'm about to upgrade from an iPhone 4s to the XS. I'm so excited.
Love watching your videos, really heart warming and relaxing and just good viewing, yay, keep up the good work and love life Hannah
your hufflepuff common room poster is NOT ugly!! also we have matching pop sockets ✨
Just got the necklace - love it!
My favorite of the month is Starbucks Doubleshots. It's a coffee with 20 grams of protein and I'm very excited about it!
Like those prints. Personally I think I'd put them on opposite sides of a room facing each other, maybe on either side of a window or door.
Had to leave class early because of anxiety and I see you’ve uploaded!!! Yay!! That’s a nice treat
There's a Lucy worsely programme on bbc about the history of romance you might be into, since you liked Lady Chatterley's.

Lucy Worsley is actually so wonderful what an icon
10/10 would recommend!
As a Pankhurst myself, I'd love to see Sylvia! It sounds great
There’s many things I could take from this video...but I’m stuck on OMG THAT RUG IS GORGEOUS 😂
So so ready for the apartment tour!!!
i have this same dress and it always makes me smile when i see you wearing it;)

To all the boys i've loved before is based on a book, and there are two books after this one! They're a good read!
Sponges was a birth control back in the 1920s but it would be $$$$ pricy!! That is my knowledge from Downton Abby 😉
I recomend the Netflix movie, nappily ever after, such a great movie with an awesome message! Loves the video 😊

Ayee D.H Lawrence! Highly recommend Odour of Chrysanthemums and The Horse Dealer’s Daughter if you haven’t read them before and want more Lawrence 🤓💛
Loved the video Hannah. Have a great week!

This rug is very pretty!
You have to watch Netflix's new show Élite. It's spanish and SO good. Definitley one of my favs this month.
got the exact same pair of jeans from Asos and bought a second pair i loved them so much!
I also really enjoyed "to all the boys I've loved before" such an enjoyable movie.
My mind went to Big Labowski with the rug. It really ties the room together... XD
I knew this comment would be here somewhere!
I love ASOS skinny jeans as well!
this is such a fun video idea!
