Handy item especially for older people doing gardening who may have difficulty using regular cutting tools or large chainsaws. I had something similar to this many years ago but it worked with a cable which was a bit of a drag. The batteries make this more convenient.
I got one of those from another company on Amazon a while back. It is compatible with makita drill batteries also. I would have liked seeing how you oiled this.
A few drops on the bottom tip , run blade really quick , repeat 3 or 4 times. Do this about every half hour of running and/or before putting it away for the day .
" I bought a 6" chain saw that was about 1/3 smaller ( Amazon), but worked great. Especially useful cutting thick, traveling vines ( up to 1" thick) which were invading the roof of a double wide mobile home. They weren't easily cut with a machete, and tedious to cut with bypass loppers. This worked great, I hooked/ lifted the vines with a 4' gaff hook, then sliced through them like butter. Saved hours of work. One battery lasted for entire job. No oil reservoir, so I just dripped a little oil directly on the blade, periodically. Light enough to use safely, one handed. I used a small, double headed " Denture Brush " from Dollar Tree to clean the debris from machine/ chain. Put a little oil on the chain and give a quick run before storage.".
@@lisasisserman7452 I believe I just used " 3 in 1" brand oil, but any would work. Silicone spray is good, because it doesn't attract debris like regular oil. I cut the neck off a plastic 48 oz juice bottle , to use the bottom as a carrier and keep oil from getting on anything.

Thank you for your demonstration and explanation!
I'd totally love to have one for car camping
Cool little saw Tim. Not sure I need one, but looks like fun. Thanks for the video.
I've been looking at these too. I'm glad you did a review.

Neat looking little saw!
Nothing says real woodsman like a pair of maroon jogging pants tucked in the mucks. 😂. I’m guilty too. Lol.

Ryobi makes a similar one. Batteries are interchangeable with their other products.
What kind of oil do you use for the chain? Thank you
So, where does the oil go?
Wow. Enjoy your news toys eh. It's always hard to sleep well if u have new toys eh. Oil and adjust chain. Put on Ur favourite eye glasses and... Enjoy
Any idea the file size needed to sharpen the chain? I was given a similar unit as a gift, but cannot find any specs on the chain aside from a 6" bar.
Hmmm. Not sure.
4mm round does most of these 6"chains
I am replacing the chain with a new one. Took old one off now I cannot get new one to fit around gear to tip of blade. Help please!
Oh and I adjusted the screw where blade in butted up to gear and I still cannot get chain on. Can you please demonstrate putting chain on?
