My wife and I are 37 years old and we love The Strat. Our suite was big enough and super cozy and we heard no noise whatsoever. The casino and staff were good to us. Definitely going back again next year with the whole family. Oh forgot to mention they have plenty of security inside and outside the building.
Interesting review. I’d like to mention that Sahara is like a 10 minute walk and from there you can get on the monorail that’ll connect you to the rest of the strip. I found this to be a great option especially during busy times and with the f1 congestion so getting around was pretty seamless. Also I found the atmosphere to be pretty nice and comfortable as well as the rooms. The new mini golf attraction is being built similar to top golf and it’ll attract lots of people. I really enjoyed our stay and would go back and found the remodel to be sufficient for a fresh fun vacay… Such an iconic property😊
hi there! so the strat is beautifully renovated! love the casino, the restaraunts, and the pool. usally a very busy pool. i was suprised it was dead the day you were there..thanks for the great video though, enjoyed it very much. i hope you had a great time there!! btw, top of the world restaraunt is a must!!!! execellent food!! totally worth it!! the neighbor hood really isnt that bad!! we stayed at the beautiful sahara and walked to the strat many many times the week we stayed at sahara. day and night! strat has awesome machines that are not squeaky tight and will let you play without draining your wallet.. anyhow, we walked everywhere in that area and didnt have any issues in thsat area with the walk to the strat or to any of the other casinos!!!!...cheers
I agree that the casino is pretty great. They had all the games we like and it was never that busy. I think it may have been too early for the pool crowds. 😂 Glad you talked about walking to Sahara. Glad it wasn’t too bad.
Hey ! Hey ! Between your thumbnail and intro . I knew this was going to be an outstanding video. I’m not sold on the room / casino , but the pool isn’t so bad . The retro decor was something. Topless , too . Ooh La La 🔥
I looked into possibly staying at the Strat and it's within my price range but the area around it makes me uneasy. I'm stuck with Circus Circus 🎪Great video Melissa😊
Great video as always. Never had a good vibe there and u touched on the reasons why. We're heading in this week staying at plaza. Might just run into you guys. Stay safe!
Great review! The renovations look nice. I think a lot of people stay there because it's always the cheapest option. The last time I was there was back in 1997 and I won $100 on a quarter slant top slot machine!
Thanks for this! Yes, some real pluses and minuses. I don't like thin walls as well. But there's a coffee machine. And I remember my first experience with a half shower door...yep, water all over the floor. But, for me, looks like a nice gym. And I believe a Deuce connection is right outside going both ways. It may be worth at least a try. One night to see how it goes. Thanks, you two.
I need a bit of advice on this one, Ms. I just booked to stay in The Strat for a week, and just saw a video that it's in a dodgy area. Is it really that bad? Is the monorail closeby and easy for me to use? Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.
You’ll feel safe on the property, but right behind it, “Naked City” is very sketchy. As long as you stay on the strip, you should be fine, but as it gets dark, you might see some questionable characters. Stay off the side streets. The start of the Monorail is at the Sahara, which is about a 10 minute walk.
@@UpUpOurWay thanks for that. I presume the area from the Sahara monorail to the strat is a bit dodgy at night. Am I right? And is the train/tram a possible alternative? For you time, I’d like to thank you by writing about your channel on my site. Can I email you?
Great review! Don’t think we’d ever stay there either because of the location. We like to be centrally located. We have visited the Strat casino before though and weren’t huge fans.
Love your guys’ videos! I really like to visit The Strat when I’m in Vegas, but I have seen many terrible reviews of the hotel. I hope they can make it nice. I wouldn’t mind staying there since it’s closer to Downtown and there is a shuttle that goes there and to the Arts District.
I stayed at the Strat for my 50th with my best friend 10 years ago. The rooms at that time were bare bones but clean. Loved the pool. Casino was okay. I'd give the experience a 5/10.
Great video, I always appreciate your honest reviews. I see their poster of the towers doesn't list our Canadian CN tower in Toronto which is 1,815 feet tall. We see the Strat and Sahara on Expedia for consistently low priced packages compared to other strip hotels but I think I would give this one a miss. I remember years ago visiting and riding on a roller coaster that went around the top of the tower.
@@UpUpOurWay It's got some kick ass rides though; they should put a haunted house on the retail level, and some other indoor thrill attractions. The shopping there's always been a joke, so why not just go mini theme park?
I stayed there a few years ago and was a solid choice if you’re not too uppity, I easily walked to the strip and never felt any funkiness in the area. I’m just a blue collar guy so perhaps I’m looking for more what I pay for not gold bars for pennies. Ubers were hella cheap to Fremont or other random spots we wanted to see but a 15-20min walk was fine for us to get to the strip and walked back middle of the night without even a thought of fear…only learned recently that it’s in “a bad part of town”. 🤷🏻♂️
I rock with The Strat. For future reviews, might have to use a clip on microphone or duck your music. It's drowning out what you're saying. Cool concept!
Not a place I would ever stay, but great overview. I agree they don't have enough to keep you "on property" and the location is worse than Resorts World.
Wow, your room looks way nicer than mine at the same hotel. Was that a suite?? I got a regular king size bedroom. Perhaps there's some discrimination going on. My bathroom was AN ABSOLUTE DUMP, I'm not kidding, it literally looked like a ghetto hotel restroom. No ceiling fan, and not even a tub, just a shower. Not even a spot to put your shampoo. Only 1 trashcan, which is in the restroom, yeah that's right THEY ARE TOO CHEAP to even put a trash can in the actual hotel room! No fridge, no microwave, absolute garbage of a hotel.
They remodeled some of their rooms and we were lucky enough to get into one of them. We had no iron which was odd! In Vegas many rooms won’t have a fridge and it’s rare to get a microwave. I can only imagine your room though. It’s not the best of hotels.
I've been to the strat 3 times already and I can say for sure that the only things it has going for it are the top of the world restaurant, the observatory deck and the Swim & social pool. I also visited wet 24 while there and there wasn't really anything special about that place outside of topless women and even that wasn't really a good sight.

The Stratosphere and Circus Circus are some of the only "value" resorts left on the Las Vegas Strip. Not everyone can afford to stay at Wynn & Bellagio all the time.
My Wife and I stayed at the Strat this last April, we loved it, and we are going back later this year .
Thanks for that. Everything you said was the hunch I'd had. Almost booked. Now I know I won't. Thanks again

Great room and stay! I stayed here in 2011 for 1 night. It was fine. Just kind of far away from everything.

Yeah, the pool was pretty decent! I’m just not a fan of too much else.
I haven't been here in 10 years. Good to see the remodel. May stay again. Thanks for the video. 👍
Yeah, they did give it a sleeker look for sure! Thanks Mags!
Thank you for your honest opinion. Loved the video. Will be returning to Vegas in September. Greetings from Belgium ❤
Great view from the observation deck. $139 for the bungee jump? Oh my. Thanks for another great view Melissa n Enrique
I don’t need to worry about bungee jumping… I could never do that! I’m too 😂
Another fantastic video Melissa and Enrique,,,,,, I found it informative
Thank you Tricia! Hope you’re having a good week!
Enjoyed the video guys! Happy Sunday! 💗

3rd time this october we staying there. We love it.
Beware if you drive there. They’re charging for parking now
Thanks for the recommendation. Great video. Just booked
The Strat has great potential once the area close to it is properly developed
Maybe in a couple of decades! 😂

Yeah, the deuce could factor in. We never use it! 😂 The coffee maker was a good addition, but I’ll take an iron instead. Thanks Jon!

Thk you Melissa and Enrique for this review!

I think there’s only so much they can do in the spot they are at, unless areas around it improve. Thanks for watching!
Scary.... I'd recommend don't bother. Thin walls and some seedy clientele. loud unruly guests at 2 am in the morning.
i thought there was a japanese rest. in there 6 years ago
There may have been but not anymore. Just the Chinese
Thank you for this 👍
Thanks Denise!

The iron/board combo lets you know what neighborhood you're in😮😂
😭
Always like your reviews 👍
We really appreciate it! Thank you!
How did you ever find the Strat anyways 🤷🏻♀️ The ironing board situation was hysterical 😭
It was really hard to find! 😂😂😂
I just keep a portable steamer. Never used the ironing boards
Great vid guys! Thanks! 😊❤Vance and J.B
Thanks so much Vance and JB!

I’d take the Sahara over Strat. They’ve done a good job with that place and the monorail stop makes it easier to get around. Thanks for watching!
I Never Realized That Ironing Board Were So In Demand.... That Theft Would Be A Problem And Hard To Get 😂
I think all rooms in Vegas have irons! So that was weird not having one and trying to get one! 😂
Great video! Some feedback, the background music is a little too loud and it’s drowning out your voice.
Really appreciate that feedback! 😊
Others have mentioned the thin hotel room walls there.
It’s pretty bad!

@@GudCopBadCopYT true. Make it a destination! Package it with the tower rides.
We LOVE the STRAT!!!!
The Strat looks ok, but I am not sure if I would stay there. I did visit the cafe at the Strat on my last visit, and it wasn’t too bad.
I wouldn’t bother, as you travel too far. You should stay somewhere nicer and in a better location.

It’s tough because for what you pay, you might stay somewhere right in the middle of the strip, like Harrahs, flamingo, or Linq.
Flamingo rooms are bad too with the noise
Hi Bradie! It must not have been as bad at Flamingo. We’ve stayed there a bunch, but didn’t seem to notice. At Strat it felt like our door was open! 😂
I had a great experience when I went!🤩
That’s great!
Do you have a Westgate review
We haven’t stayed there since it was the Las Vegas Hilton! Sooo long ago. We need to pay a visit and review it soon.
not returning anytime soon.......smart very smart
🤣😂 not enough going for it to get me back there.
I rock with The Strat. For future reviews, might have to use a clip on microphone or duck your music. It's drowning out what you're saying. Cool concept!
Thanks! We’ve made adjustments to audio in more recent videos.
the best night view of Vegas
Not a place I would ever stay, but great overview.
I agree they don't have enough to keep you "on property" and the location is worse than Resorts World.
Yeah, I can’t see it being the place I want to rush back to. And yes, at least resorts world has the Wynn near by.
@@UpUpOurWay Resorts World is a great property if you are at a convention

Walk over to Sahara and you can catch the monorail and it will drop you off where ever you want to go. I think MGM is the end of the line.
The strat rock's
Only if I'm visiting you guys

Haha, I’m sure it’s a little better than what you remember. But it’s not gonna be on my list of go-to places.
I am disappointed took out Roxys Diner when it was Stratosphere I love that place
Feels like this always happens to the good places. 😢
So it's a good party room? Lol

Thanks Joseph. We have been working on our audio. You should notice a difference in our recent review of Wynn:

Thanks for sharing your reviews. The Strat is a good to go for the first timers… But, with the experienced… Big pass.
Thanks St. Myles! Yes, if you don’t know the strip well, it may seem ideal and well priced. But you’re so far from anything, sadly.
