@@heartofthewild680 On the surface it would seem that way, but the centers on a rubik's cube actually show which colors are supposed to go where. So not having those as a guide would probably be more difficult for a beginner as they could mess up the color scheme.

i have a ball cube but each ball is one solid color-it’s like a rubik’s cube mixed with sudoku where u have to get one of each color on every side it’s really hard i can’t solve it (i got it a couple days ago so hopefully soon) even thought i can solve regular cubes

That void cube was actually my first Rubik's cube.... It was really hard to figure out how to solve it without having solved a regular one.
