REQUIRMENTS FOR ENTERING COSTA RICA:
www.visitcosta...
Insurance is required (as of August 1, 2021 if vaccinated - insurance is not required). From the suggested list, we went with Sagicor.
Prior to travel, within 72hrs you must submit your proof of travel insurance and complete the HEALTH PASS for each traveler. You will receive a QR code that needs to be shown to the ticketing agent at your departing airport. You cannot board without this!

Thank you both for posting this, I was looking at going to Costa Rica with my wife and a couple of friends in July and this video was immensely helpful
That makes it worth it to me!! Thank you so much for the comment, and let us know if you have any questions at all before or during your trip!

Thank you, David! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
I visited a few months ago and stayed in Quepos. It was beautiful but I had a hard time adjusting to the humidity coming from AZ. I saw some amazing wildlife.
Fun! Yeah, where we live in Texas is pretty dry - but not like AZ!!
Great video! We're staying in the Coco area next month (currently in Jaco).
Thanks for watching, enjoy your trip! Pura Vida!!
Every country have its own special characters not one is better than others.Thnks

We dont use google maps in Costa Rica , it doesnt work well ... We use Waze ... If you come back go to other famous places, my favorite places in Costa Rica are : La fortuna , Manuel Antonio , Puerto Viejo in Limon and Monteverde... Like the video , I hope you like my country...
Thank you for the tips! We really enjoyed Limon, Rio Celeste & Monteverde on a previous trip! We will add Manuel Antonio and Puerto Viejo to our list for the next time we visit - we LOVE Costa Rica :)
Best place on earth
Nice that you guys are enjoying my beautiful coutry 🇨🇷 congrats from california, pura vida 👌
Pura Vida!
i always use dollar rental in belen, alejuela and full everything runs me close to $400 for 8-9 days, check them out next time and that is getting a 4x4
Wow, that’s awesome! Is there a link you can provide for the car rental place? I’m going to CR in August and will need to rent a car and I’m not sure where to go!
No sign of any rain. We were booked for august 2020 cancelled due to covid. Would love to go but what’s the weather like this time of year is the big question
May to November is the rainy season, and we were there in July but the west coast generally gets less annual rainfall than the eastern areas of Costa Rica.
Are there lot of tours there to see around
We didn’t use any tour groups, but there are several companies that offer things like zip lining, rain forest tours, and other adventures. Some can be booked thru hotels or take a look at TripAdvisor for suggestions and reviews.
Do you recommend traveling in August ?
Both August and July typically have nicer weather than the months before and after. It is the middle of the rainy season but many years there is a lull in the rains starting in July and ending in August - especially in Guanacaste. Costa Ricans call this little dry season veranillo, and if you’re lucky you won’t need your umbrella at all on a visit to the northwest.
Do you need a SIM card or such to use the Waze app? I have T-Mobile if that helps… also was your car automatic? I heard Costa Rica only has rental that are manual. Thanks for the answers!
We used our international data plan on our phones so it worked just like it does in the USA for Waze. You might want to download the region to your phone while on WiFi though, as cell service can drop and then the maps don’t always load. Google will allow your to download maps while on WiFi and then if service drops you still have it available “offline”.
Our vehicle had automatic transmission and available 4 wheel drive. You might check with the rental company first to see what they have. We booked online and the site had options you could choose.
Was it rainy while you were there?
It was dry until we got to Rio Perdido. It rained there for one full day.
nice video, hope you guys enjoyed your vacation, my wife is from Sarchi we come down every year...also you should use waze maps on your phone when in costa rica ,better directions....enjoy
Thanks! Yes, we learned Waze is the way to go for sure :)
Do you mind sharing how much you paid for the covid rapid test at the airport?
We paid $65 per person, here is a link to the airport testing:
covid.morphotr.com/
Thank you!!!
@@lesliepozuelos7764 have a great trip, Pura Vida!
@@willwork2travel Gracias!
Hey Chad great video!! When you took your Covid test was there a charge?
Yes, we paid $65 (USD) per person at the airport. We did schedule the test ahead of time for the day of our departure. You can also get tested on-site at some resorts/hotels.
😍🇨🇷😍
R there tours there
We didn’t use any tour groups, but there are several companies that offer things like zip lining, rain forest tours, and other adventures. Some can be booked thru hotels or take a look at TripAdvisor for suggestions and reviews.
Waze is best in CR
Just a suggestion: Your camera person is not allowing sufficient time for viewers to read and digest signs. Whenever there are things to read, please allow sufficient time for us viewers to focus our eyes and study the entire sign. I had to stop the video multiple times to go back, stop the video again just to read stuff. The same goes for allowing viewers sufficient time to enjoy the beautiful views. Your one or two second glimpses are very eye fatiguing. It makes for a far more professional video to give us more time. Thanks.
