Hello, we brought the same house as well we signed the paper work in January and here it is June and we still are not in our home. Clayton homes has given us run around after run around. I have been disappointed with them. I was wondering did y'all have the same problem. Congratulations on your home and enjoy it. I pray it doesn't take a couple of more months before we can as well enjoy this Beautiful home. Clayton homes in Waycross Ga has made the home buying experience awful.
We did have the same experience. I think it took 8 months after closing to actually move in. I thought it had to do with the pandemic turning everything on its head but I know some of it was just poor management. I wanted to encourage you that when it's over you will love your home and it will seem like a blink of an eye! We've had no issues with our home at all and we just love it! Hang in there! They'll be turning the power on in no time!
We have the same house we took the second living area and walled it off, and made a mother in law suite connecting the master bedroom and that room into one space. Our closet did collaspe in the master bedroom and the kitchen cabinet fell down, we had to fix ourselves because Clayton of Mabank Texas SUCKS. But we love the home.
Thank You! You are so sweet! I believe with you that there is an affordable home option in your future! We started out here in a 874ft mobile home that we refurbished. It was in terrible shape! God Bless!
Hello! We bought a home already made and this was how the walls came. You can have a home built and ask for dry wall but it takes time and more money. If it really bugs me I can see us changing that in the future, but for now it will do. Thanks for the question!
I'm happy for ya! But where was the toilet in the master bathroom? Also where are you going to store things there wasn't even a closet for your jackets or shoes next to the door? I think your going to find you have no storage space
Loving the alcove area off to itself..This home is Immaculate and would love to see the finished view of your hpme..One could be used for your(m0m) private time to YOU..Enjoy Y'alls journey through life..CONGRATULATIONS ❤😊anitamareefromsouthcarolina
Awe man, where I come from we don't know a lot about this. I'm thinking about checking out some of this alternative living! I can probably educate more of them to look into it! At least you'd have a real opportunity to own something. I ❤️ it! Congratulations y'all
Manufactured homes have had a stigma for most of my life but when my husband and I bought the property we now live on it had a mobile home on it and we decided to live in it to save money. Honestly it has been very comfortable and it always feels good to save a bit of cash for a change! We are upgrading now for personnel reasons and we thought of building but decided we are fine with buying something already made. The older I get the less I care what anyone thinks about my life choices. Very Liberating!
Congratulations, manufactured homes are still in. So much space. Will you give us a view when it comes together in the near future? And again, yippee and congratulations!!!
I'm planning to document all of the setup and decorating yet to come! I love watching UA-cam channels with similar content - i.e. building, decorating, Reno's etc...I have a playlist on my channel called "reno" where I document the reno we did on the place I live now if you want to check it out! Thank you for the "yippee"!
This is the Everest right??? It was one of my favorites as well, but out of our budget. That little alcove between the two “living rooms” would be my Bible Study area. May you be blessed in your new home!! Congratulations 🎉
Hi there! Honestly I think it will steer you wrong if I tell you what we paid because the price has gone up since we went under contract 7 mths ago. Plus the home is a different price depending on the state and dealership. Check out Claytonhomes.com. This home is called The Everest and see if you can get the answer you seek. God Bless!
Congratulations.. My wife and I put our down payment on a house very similar to y'alls in July 2021 when we went to our local clayton. (it was the same color floors and cabinets, just the 4 bedrooms, 2 baths were laid out differently). We will finally be moving into it this week.. 14 months total.. they were so covered up with lack of help, wet weather and there were all kinds of discrepancies' between our out of state lender (FHA Construction loan) and our dealership. We still got a good deal overall with very little out of pocket. We already made close to $80k over the initial appraisal of home and land. Yeah we could have got a nicer home for another $60k-80K more, the only thing it would have really included were sheetrock walls and and a few upgraded appliances. It's only the two of us and a few dogs, so we got a lot of home. The kids are grown so we will have plenty of space for them to kick their boots off for a while after they help bale up the hay. Have a good'n ..
I can relate to so much of that! Thank you for sharing! Yes the value of our home has gone up twice since we went under contract, and that's a good feeling! Hope you enjoy your home! Really looking forward to getting into ours!
So glad you said that because I have every intention of documenting the whole process! I'll also be putting the finishing touches on the fixer upper we live in now if you want to check out what I've done so far. It's under the "Reno" playlist. Thank's again!
We also bought the Everest. Love the floor plan. Have lots of adjustments pland. What are the measurements for the hole the fridge went into?. We are also in florida.
Hello fellow Floridian! So you don't have your house yet either? I don't know the fridge measurement but I do wish it was bigger because that fridge is not going to do the trick for us! I'll probably modify that space asap. What adjustments do you have planned?
@@susanchandlee2367 My daughter had the same idea! Then we could use part of the closet as pantry. It's way to big for us to just use for close. Thanks for your reply!
@@theglengardener the alcove in the hall, we found a bookcase that can become a door and thought to put it there. Would have vacuum cleaner and shelves.
I feel the same way but we're also under a time crunch and to get a home built from scratch was at the least a year wait. Maybe we can change things in the future.
If you get the Reserve 52 in, I would love to see that. My favorite was The Kimmel until I saw the Reserve 52. For 30 years, manufactured housing has been a hobby for me. I love to take floor plans and tweak them, such as putting sliding barn doors on the master bath and all closets, especially walk-in closets. I live in Sumter County and whenever my best friend and I go to Jekyll for the day, I always want to stop by your lot. But if I stopped, I can forget about Jekyll. Lol.
Good question haha! My best answer for that would be to go to Claytonhomes.com and see the prices in your area. It's gone up twice since we went under contract. Also, you need to include things like a well, septic, drain fill and such, if you need them. I'm going to make a video discussing the extra's that are needed when you buy a manufactured home soon. Thankfully you can finance it all in if you need to. My home is called The Everest. I forgot to include that in the video!
Hmmm not sure they sell that far up. I'm in Florida and we bought our home in Georgia...but only because the dealer and our property are not that far apart. Try Claytonhomes.com and maybe reach out to them to see if they can recommend a builder. Good Luck!
I hope you didn't use a loan company set up by Clayton and that you checked reviews. Some of the loan companies are such shysters that you pay for years and very minimal goes on the principle.
VERY GOOD COMMENT! That is very important! We feel pretty good about our loan terms but we talked with several lenders before we secured our home. Thanks for the comment!
Yes. If you block the return air vent it will shorten the life of your system by causing it to work harder. Air will not flow properly through the system.

The only time she said "our" was in the car when he said "congregations Julie". It's pretty obvious who's going to be in charge of this house.
Thank you for your comment. I can see how you came to that conclusion but I assure you my husband and I are a team! The home is just my "job site" and my husband has his! We're very supportive of each other and in this stage of life it's been awesome to know what works!
Van, her first words LITERALLY when walking in were "this is ours now". Sounds to me like it's THEIRS. You apparently didn't watch the whole thing where hubby talked about shelves etc!
@@lindamaskus5142 I apparently DID watch the entire video ... and she said AT THE END "honey we just closed on our house .. what's your feeling" .. and without even looking over at her, no smile, blank stare on his face, replied "congratulations Julie".... kind of like she got what she wanted ..... oh, and your comment will remind me of a "Karen's" comment, if you know what that means....
