Anyone else watching this during the 2020 Coronavirus lockdown because the Khan Academy videos make absolutely no sense and never actually explain how to solve for anything? Just me? Ok, I'l go back to online schooling now. (Thank you for this video though, it really helped)
I need help with Algebra in general. I want to get into Nursing school but I have to pass the TEAS 6 Exam, and the other videos suck bad, so if you can help, I would appreciate it BIG TIME @Step-by-Step Science
Anyone here who has a pos algebra teacher who can't slow down for her students and then blames them and now are stressed because there spending the whole day trying to teache themselves the math
I have a question but for finding b (the y intercept) can I choose randomly one of the two points? Because I noticed that each point using your method gives two different answers: one answer is positive and the other one is negative.
does it matter which set of points i use to calculate b or i can use whichever ones i fancy? nevertheless thank you very much for the easy and thorough explanation
I just finished completing my final review for tomorrow’s exam and I passed with 92.3% compared to my first try without watching your videos...I got 43%..I’m eternally thankful.

Thanks for the comment, sorry about the whole virus thing.

brooo yesss
I'm having trouble finding the b sir
Use one of the points for the x and y and the slope and solve for b.
oh my gosh thank you so much. You cant even comprehend how many weird vidios from 2004 i went through before i found this one!! Thank you!!
You're very welcome! Glad you found me.
Hey man! What would you do if the slope ended up being undefined?
Then it is a vertcal line and the slope is undefined. You can not divide by zero.
thx I was absent and my teacher didn't teach me this so ya
Hope the video straightened it out for you.
lmao me too
Omg, I'm looking over things before I take my final and this helped me a lot, thank you!
Glad it helped and good luck on the final!
Thankyou kind sir maybe I won’t fail algebra now
I hope it goes well for you.
TYSM MY TEACHER ASSIGNED SO MUCH WORK ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AND THIS JUST BLEW MY MIND it all just clicked with this video idk
Great that you found the video helpful.
You can choose any X and Y for the Slope intercept form?
yes.
Does it matter which point You use to find b? for example cant you use the other point(3,2)?
I have watched about a hundred videos this is the first one that makes sense of it all thank you
Glad to hear it, thanks very much.
Finally, someone who makes sense of it all THANKS. Very well Done...
Yes, I am the only one. Thanks for the comment.
Thank you so much. This was so helpful. I was trying to graph it out and then count to find the intercept. This is SO MUCH EASIER (and faster).
You're very welcome. Glad it helped!

Hey I'm just getting in to this sort of math and I was wondering what I would put in for the x and y values of this sort of equation
That is a good question, you put in the x and y value for any point that lines on the line.
@@stepbystepscience thank you so so much!!
you don't know how much this helped me thank you!!
I'm so glad, you're very welcome!
dude tysm i have an exam tomorrow and I'm so confused
You are very welcome. Good luck on the exam.
thank you so much for making this!
couldnt understand the khan academy version.
Thank for letting me know.
Thanks for the video! I never would have known how to get the y-intercept.
Glad I could help!
gee thanks it was much more better than all the other tutorials
Glad you think so!
this really helped im going to subscribe
Wonderful, glad it was helpful!

Thank you for the help by the way
You're welcome!
You are the best my bad typo
How do you get the two
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome!
Beautifully explained. Thank you.
Thx for the video, Got a major test tomorrow wish me luck
Best of luck!
@@stepbystepscience I passed 82%
Thank you very helpful!!
Most welcome!
what software are you using to make this video
Very good explanation!
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much I understand this topic now it the best man
You are very welcome, Thanks for commenting. Glad it helped.
youre awesome
SO the end part when finding the y intercept you just add them to find b?
How about using the equation:
b = y1- { x1 times [(y2-y1) : (x2-x1)}
and noting along the way that (y2-y1) : (x2-x1) = m
thank you best tutorial on here by a long way
Thank very much for saying so.
thank you so much!!!!
You're welcome!
um , this aint workin over here cheif
I have a question but for finding b (the y intercept) can I choose randomly one of the two points? Because I noticed that each point using your method gives two different answers: one answer is positive and the other one is negative.
Any point that you choose, along as it is on the line, will give you the same y-intercept.
yea I got a really weird improper fraction, but after swapping y1,y2 and x1,2 around I got a more reasonable fraction
Love it.
Thanks!
Thanks 😊
Welcome 😊
Thank you for explaining. 😀😀😀
thank you for posting this video it help me understand a lot
Glad it helped! You're very welcome.
Sweet!
Thanks!
does it matter which set of points i use to calculate b or i can use whichever ones i fancy? nevertheless thank you very much for the easy and thorough explanation
You can use any set of point as long as they are on the line.
brother you really helped me
Great that I could do so, thanks for watching and commenting.
Why Y=mx+b
mx , teacher got. 3 1/3 .6+ b ?
Can somebody reply to me?
thank you omg
You are very welcome!
Hey i have a question If the B=0 is the question still have a answer or its Undefined?
how did you get 3 for Y?
This literally saved my life, tysm!!!!
I'm glad it was helpful!
Thanks that helped ❤
you are very welcome
Why do I get a different answer when I choose the other point i get two different answers someone please reply to me
John 3:16
thanks
I still don’t get it what the fuuck
Try again......you'll get it.
Bro is carrying me thru freshman year fr fr
Excellent!
A little too fast in you're teaching
Sorry, try stopping the video when you need to.
Slow down the video stupid head
Thank you 🙏🏼
You are very welcome.
Ty
U R Welcome..at my house we say tq.
How is b-2 1?
Excellent. Thank you!
The whole minus a minus then minus that minus by a minus part confused me. Why didn't say you negative?
Minus or negative it the the same thing.....minus 3 = negative 3
@@stepbystepscience ok thank you for clearing that up
How do you get Y=3 in the first part
Because he chose (6,3) and y2 is 3 so that's the Y
Very helpful
Thank you very much.
@@stepbystepscience What is this formula used for?
Does it matter which point you choose to find b???
No.
